    Michelle was awesome! She also provides shuttles for Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, which was how I found her.
    There are shuttle pickups in Atlanta from the North Springs Marta Train Station, and other pickup locations in North Georgia. Marta is Atlanta’s metro transport system: www.itsmarta.com/. I took the train to North Springs to get to the shuttle.

    I love the BMT. Really enjoyed hiking it last year. Nice video - thanks for sharing.

      Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video but even more that you had a chance to experience the BMT. It’s a gem!

    Hey I'm thinking of hiking the BMT this spring! I really enjoyed your video, I liked the different formatting of a relaxing hike video, followed by the commentary portion! Happy trails!

      Thanks for the feedback and for watching Julie! I highly recommend the BMT - it was such a fun and beautiful trail, and the spring is a great time to hike it. I have a BMT Thru hike planner on my website at unfetteredfootsteps.com in case you find it helpful. Just go to the Trip Planners tab and you can download it. Wishing you all the best on your hike!

      Too funny! I do like and use a lot of zpacks gear, but definitely not sponsored by them (or anyone). It’s like that movie Swingers - the guy behind the guy. I’m the channel behind the channel behind the channel (just keep going). :-)

    How was the weather/rain during your hike? I know in April you can still find snow, sometimes. How was the smokies in May?

      It was kind of perfect. Had the obligatory torrential rain day common in the Appalachians, but otherwise I hiked in May (I believe late May) so it was cool and not hot, but not too cold at night. The wildflowers were coming up. Late May is a great time for it

    In your video it seems like the beginning of this trail is at the top of springer mountain? Or does this trail start with the approach trail of the AT?

    • @UnfetteredFootsteps
      @UnfetteredFootsteps  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It starts at the top of Springer. So does the AT, but you can hike the approach trail to add a little extra bonus hike to the beginning. The AT and BMT are the same trail until the BMT splits off a mile or so after Three Forks.
