I love how this movie proves Seto has fully accepted the magical bs he denied throughout the series - having a built-in anti-magic field in his duel disk - slamming the ground to use the Heart of the Cards to draw Obelisk
In the manga he didn't deny it - he just didn't give a sh!t. And him doing stuff like this is just going from not giving a sh!t about magic to making sure magic knows he's not giving a sh!t about it.

Oh he knew chill exactly once when he was 3 years old. He immediately realized it was not for him and made a point of getting as far away from it as physically possible.
This was easily my favourite cinema experiences of my life; even beating films like Infinity War and Endgame. The entire room was filled with 18+ year olds who grew up on this show and then were surviving on the abridged series. A single 11 year old boy and his mother came along and were suddenly adopted to make sure he had the best experience possible. Everyone treated each duel as if we were truly witnessing the greatest battles of all time. Cheering and "sobbing" and shouting OHHHHHHHHHH whenever a trap card was activated. I had never met a single person in that room, aside from the friend I went with, and yet we all bonded with our love for Yu Gi Oh Also we got GOODY BAGS and the 11 year old went home with like 20 cards because people kept giving them to him. 1000/10. I don't think any film experience will ever top it.
When we were young Yugioh TCG wasn’t just a card game for kids. It was a lifestyle pretty much like how you’re into skateboarding at the time. Our school was treated as a duelist kingdom and every boy in my group carried a deck at all time, even dudes from different classes frequently join in the fun or had their own duelists circle. We were dueling for cards like in the anime every god damn day for a whole year or more.
That sounds like a glorious time! I remember going to the theater dressed as Kaiba and my friend was Dark Magician Girl for this movie. I definitely felt like everyone in the room was excited to be there and we all laughed and cheered together. What a great movie. Seriously!

Some people wanted to get into the game so some of us would lend decks so newer people could get into the game and learn the ropes. It was a hell of a time. Really miss those days.

So faithful that LK decided that the abridged version of Darkside of Dimensions just plain *is* the original movie, because Kaiba managed to be so extra that, similar to the discussion of destroying people's souls, Little Kuriboh couldn't think of a way to do any better, except in this case it was an entire movie rather than a single line.
Since Kaibai is japanese, japanese cans are notoriously pretty durable so him being able to crush that can shows how stupidly strong he is or it was actually a shit can

Simply put,Yugi outplayed Kaiba ones again. Kaiba is a phenomenal Strategist (On par with Yusei),but Yugi is the best at thinking on the spot and against every different opponent. This show in their Ace cards, BEWD is the ultimate Attack beast, wiping out the enemy in an instant, DM is a Wizard,that tricks the opponent with his spells (cards). That means that Yugi is the most flexible Duelist ever,that together with his also Great strategical thinking (and Kaibas ego) means that Yugi will never lose neither to Kaiba nor anyone else.
Pretty sure one of the biggest reasons Kaiba was so obsessed with the Pharaoh was that he was the only person who could rival him in *drama* Also I will never stop laughing about the fact that Kaiba has created all of this ridiculously high tech technology and uses it to play card games haha

Kaiba made a misplay in his rage to summon atem.
He could've either waited for his turn to play monster reborn or wait for yugi to activate final geass, to which kaiba could respond with his trap to play monster reborn on yugi's dark magician, then yugi would've been effed. So yeah in my oppinion kaiba trew that one and is stronger then yugi

Kaiba is a phenomenal Strategist (On par with Yusei),but Yugi is the best at thinking on the spot and against every different opponent.
This show in their Ace cards,
BEWD is the ultimate Attack beast, wiping out the enemy in an instant,
DM is a Wizard,that tricks the opponent with his spells (cards).
That means that Yugi is the most flexible Duelist ever,that together with his also Great strategical thinking (and Kaibas ego) means that Yugi will never lose neither to Kaiba nor anyone else.

First the movie doesn't really have anything restricting it to the manga if memory serves. Like maybe it was written to be, but it's not like it was like "oh btw Pegasus is dead" or anything _exclusive_ to the manga.
And second, I'm pretty sure the holograms are like that in the anime as well. Maybe not as real as a Shadow Game(or whatever the Japanese version calls it since I'm aware Shadow Realm is a censorship thing), but Pegasus wanted Kaibacorp for a reason and beyond the Kaiba roof thing(which was just him threatening to jump in the manga ironically) I feel like I recall multiple moments of characters reacting to the Shockwaves of attacks.
