    I've been following your awesomewm and struggling to make it my own, and I was just about to go check out what i3 was up to and this vid comes out :) I'll be following along. My laptop needs a tiling wm that doesn't suck. Really like how you do things, you're very easy to follow along with.

    I mean, it's a good video, but I wouldlike a more in-depth rice, like a ricing from 0! nice vid though!

    this reminds me of what LeftWM did with their themes, LeftWM didn't have the customization abilities like AwesomeWM has with it's Lua code configs

    I'm not new to tiling wm's but I am new to awesome and lua so I decided to go for a modular awesome config to make changing settings easier. Is there an easy to do what you did in the video without importing their rc.lua or manually going through all my config files and their 500+ line rc?

    OK! great show, great content. BUT! The greatest whiskey? That distinction belongs to a bottle of MacAllan from the M series. I was given a bottle as a gift and I am honestly afraid to open it.

      I’ve always thought McAllen has a really great nose, but isn’t quite there in terms of flavor. It’s great, but expensive for something that’s not as impressive as the price would suggest. I’ll take Talisker or Lagavulin any day (unless someone else is buying).

      @@makc that is an excellent point. In general I prefer Balvenie over MacAllan for taste. But, that M series has something different that really draws me to it.

    Have you ever used the installer in the Arch iso? The awesomewm is the first choice of de or wm I'm still installing it on a VM it gives me a load of things I would normally have to install such as alacritty. It seems they gave me this via default.

    Would have been nice to actually see the results of the changes you made to Awesome. All we saw in the video was the changes you made to the configuration file in the terminal.

      What do you mean? Not sure what you were wanting to see. All I did was cycle through a few themes.

    How did you get NVIM to show possible options for filling in stuff. Like providing firefox as a possible option for local browser?

    • @makc
      @makc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s coc.nvim
