Mind absolutely blown. 🤯 The boss up is the most magic mid length by far compared to the to the other big names and it's not even close 🔥. Hawaiian South Shore is the place to get it too - Dave stands behind the boards they sell and has taken good care of me every time. 👍
Dan aka D-Boss rules, so fun to listen to him talk about boards. Kinda crazy to me that Firewire doesn't just hire HSSS to do info videos for them. Some of the best and most consistently informative Firewire content on YT by far. Keep it up!!!
Right on super stoked what fins did you use on the board? If you don't mind me asking, what is your height weight and also what part of the world you're surfing? - David
@@hawaiiansouthshore hey mate, traded my 7’6 Mid 6, 6’10 Boss up, on KS1 Large quad fins, height 177cm, 86kg. Hitting Bali in July - Home break Maroochy North Shore , Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia 🏄♂️😊
Howzit I got the 6’6” boss-up from HSS last week been riding it at big rights quad fins……by far best mid length I’ve owned!!! blows the mid-6 out the water can’t wait to ride in it in bigger surf like in the video showing Michel Bourez in big surf. Mahalos Dave for getting me the board
@@andrewmitchell9892 Great question! The Boss-Up and Mid-6 actually offer different riding experiences, and it's not a matter of one being better than the other. Here's a breakdown of their key differences: Boss-Up: More loose and responsive feel Allows for quicker turns and maneuvers Potentially better suited for surfers who prefer a more dynamic ride Mid-6: Offers more drive and hold in the wave Provides a more stable and predictable ride Great for surfers who enjoy a solid, connected feel to the wave face The choice between these boards really depends on your personal preferences and surfing style. Some surfers might prefer the looser feel of the Boss-Up for its maneuverability, while others might favor the Mid-6 for its drive and hold. It's important to note that neither board is inherently "better" than the other - they're designed for different feels and riding experiences. The best board for you will depend on the type of surfing you enjoy and the characteristics you value most in your ride.
About to hit 60, became a sk8tr at 12 & surfer at 16, hitting Mex soon, have a 7’0” S-Boss on layaway, been looking for da best midlength, wanna rip yet catch a lot of waves, I think this is the Golden goose….😅
I totally agree... I'm in my mid 50s and I usually write short boards but I took this out. It was really fun easy to turn. I don't need to step on the tail.. - David
I totally agree, Dan Mann breaks it down so well...stokked to be able to interview himi...he's one of the few shapers at this caliber will do this. - David

Need a comparaison between the up-boss and the mid6
Mid6 good when waves are chest high and bigger.bigger the better.
