Captain Scarlet (Classic) - Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (SPV) by Corgi - CC96308

I ordered this a while back from Corgi after hearing it was being re-released. Shortly after it arrived, I captured a few clips of video of it, so you can see some close-up detail of it.
The second clip in the footage is text off the side of the box.
To give an idea of scale, it's approx. 2/3rds the size of the Dinky 104 SPV, but has all the features the Dinky model has.
Nicely marked and detailed, the missile fires like a bullet. I had to shoot a clip of video at 250 frames-per-second to capture the launch in detail, even then it was fast!
My only disappointment is the display background, not because of the quality but because the sellotape they use is 'very' adhesive, and while pulling it away from the background, the actual printed picture started to tear away from the backing! So be careful if you decide to remove and display it.

Fast, armed, armoured and amphibious, the Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle is Spectrum's major Earth-bound combat force. A ten-wheeled two-seater bullet-proof vehicle capable of speeds over 200 mph (322 kmph), the 25 ft (7.62 m) long SPV has no windscreen and is driven from an aircraft-type bucket seat with the driver sitting facing the rear, steering the lightweight multipurpose motors by television monitor.
Entry to the vehicle is via a sliding side panel which incorporates the driver's seat. Each SPV is equipped with revolutionary radar installations, super sensitive two-way radios, an air-conditioning plant and a proteinase food supply, enabling the crew to remain entirely self-sufficient for long periods. The SPV's armament consists of laser cannons, ground-to- air missiles and electrode ray cannons - the only truly effective anti-Mysteron weapon.

I love this show. I own all the episodes, and yeah, Capt. Scarlett is the kind of guy I grew up wanting to be. Brave, selfless, and heroic.

I actually still own this original version, although the Scarlett figure in the seat is broken.Still fires the missiles and everything works.Funny fact is the show never used the rear tracks at all in any episode.

Please remake fab 1, in factt, make all the Gerry Anderson stuff, Fireball xl5, Supercar, stingray, thubmdrbires, everything, it's all fabulous 64 years young lol. I was so lucky to have lived this particular 3 score plus :-)
