This is pretty much what I'm typing as I'm sharing this video haha. It seems like anyone of Pacific Island descent from New Zealand are all fusions of styles that I love. Found Fat Freddy's Drop through a friend and I've been down a rabbit hole of Kiwi music ever since haha. (I'm Canadian so none of it really reaches us, and that's a shame)

One of the best songs by far. ❤

What a beautiful song. I dedicated this to a good friend of mine. He was in a car crash and he survived by a Gods grace. It’s been difficult, he has brain damage, his brother is also a good friend of mine, he has bundled his studies for a better life, and caring for his brother at the same time. This song gives me hope that God is working on them. Sorry to sound cheesy, I’m a kiwi in Australia. Cheers.
Hey Tiki, don't know if you're still reading these comments. I just wanted to say that is the song that finally gave me the confidence and courage to sing. It was for a class project and I had fun playing this in front of the class. It was the first time anyone told me my voice was good cause I've always been a shy boy. Ever since then I've been practicing and reaching new limits and now... I'm pretty alright. This is such a sick song man thanks for inspiring me
Just moved back to sweden after three years in NZ, and bro your tunes are amazing man, listening to it all the time, makes me remember my friends and partner in NZ...thank you!

Shapeshifter, Elemeno P, Goodnight Nurse, Savage, Shihad, Salmonella Dub, Lady Hawke, Op Shop, Devilskin, The Black Seeds, Jordan Luck, The Naked and Famous. There's heaps of good New Zealand bands and music. Hayley Westenra was pretty big in the UK as well. Can't forget Flight Of The Conchords either. Bret won a Grammy. Shapeshifter and Devilskin are probably my favourite though.

You're always on my mind, girl
Don't you know that you're always..
I remember when
When I first met you
I knew just what to do -
I had to get to know
To get to know you right
Through the darkness you're my light
You're always on my mind
Now the wait is all gone
For you I wrote this song, girl
You don't know what you've got
Until your world has gone
This is why our love is strong
Bridge
And girl you got me singing with some melody
You're always on my mind
This is what you do to me
Girl you got me singing with some harmony
Forever you're my queen and baby girl I'm your king, yeah
I am not afraid, afraid to say the words -
Even if my brothers heard
Because of what you made
And what you mean to me
You have given everything
You have changed my life
More than you'll ever know
This is why I have to show, girl
That you are everything
And everything to me
Baby girl I hope you'll say
Bridge
And girl you got me singing with some melody
You're always on my mind
This is what you do to me
Girl you got me singing with some harmony
Forever you're my queen and baby girl I'm your king, yeah
Chorus
You're always on my mind girl
Oh don't you know that you're always
You're always on my mind girl
Yeah
You're always on my mind girl
Don't you know that you're always
You're always on my mind girl
