Since somatic yoga is a practice focused on sensing and feeling the body from the inside out, with an emphasis on internal awareness and the nervous system, yes. Somatic yoga encourages you to tune into your body’s sensations, movements, and subtle energy, helping you release tension, improve mobility, and foster a deeper connection with your body. Over 15 years ago I trained in Pheonix Rising Yoga Therapy and so I was trained this way even before "somatic yoga" came on the scene ;)
