I give you credit for giving it a go. I'd be afraid of causing a fire because I didn't fix it correctly, and just spend $100 on a new one. Hopefully this works! (I'm 4 minutes in!)
Had to scroll way down to find your fix. What a relief!!! Removed heating element then nut at fan(reversed threading) to separate housing to access thermal fuse...yeet!!! No continuity found so ordered replacement fuse pack. Thanks for sharing your vid👊
How the heck did you manage to do that?! :D ROFL. been trying for hours now... On the Nut on my air fryer, there is a little straight identation where the Nut goes, but I can't for the life of me spin that nut without spinning the whole thing.
Thanks, you video was very helpful to troubleshoot my own model. While it was slightly different, it was equally as difficult to access the thermal fuse. I was finally able to access the inner chamber by removing a few small screws that appeared to hold the light panel into the back of the heat shield. There were 2 other similar sized screws through the heat shield closer to the bottom of the bowl and of course the fan bolt needed to come off (also a reversed threaded nut). Appreciate the help.
I have an air fryer and it's nice. Today the power just cut out. Researched and figured out it's the thermal fuse. The air fryer goes up to 400F and my son put it at 390 for wings. It got half way through cooking and cut off. I see it's a 190c fuse which is 374 degrees F. U think maybe it did get too hot from that? Why would they throw a 190c in there if the fryer gets to 400? My main question is, until I can get a new thermal fuse, why can't I just jump it using thevsane guage wire? They say, "your kitchen and fryer is burn down" but how if there isn't really any issue but just that it tan too hot. Like we just keep it at 365 F and lower like we usually do. Thoughts?
You know, I didn't keep the receipt but in hindsight maybe that wouldn't matter? I wasn't sure about their return policy and honestly I probably just didn't think of it. Or maybe I just secretly wanted to try to fix something.

Did you finish? How did I do?

You got the nut removed, better than I did!

Thank you so much. Your video helped out so much. Got my air fryer fixed. End up being a fuse.
Glad to hear it. Don't burn down the house!

Great video and step by step instructions. It was helpful

Just did the fuse job and it lasted 10 minutes
That sucks. Mine lasted about a month. I kept replacing it every month but eventually the circuit board in the unit fried.
@@fanboyfilms2915 I think next time I'll try cleaning the thermal sensor real good too..If it's accesable
If you bought it from Costco why didn't you just return it to Costco?
