    This is on another level.

I saw him play live on Parade, Sign Of The Times, Love Sexy and Diamonds and Pearls tours.
I am ashamed to say I never got to see him again, although I had said to a friend about getting tickets when he next toured. Unfortunately, a month later he was gone.
On tour I'd never seen anyone play so hard as he did, and where most of his peers were on stage for an hour and a half to maybe an hour and three quarters, I remember the first time I saw him, wondering, looking at my watch, how much longer can he play for - the answer was 5 minutes short of 3 hours. While his musicians went off for a break he continued to play his guitar (behind his head).
      That was Prince.
Nobody has ever come close, since.

A teenager doing this, unreal. He played EVERY single instrument you hear in this...what he would do is play the guitar track, drum/percussion/drum machine track, synthesizer, piano, lead AND bass guitar....each one separately and through engineering/mix/mastering, brought them all together to present what you're hearing now. It's called "layered" track recording and I believe he was one of the first to do that...f'ing musical genius. At 19.
The same year (1977) he self-produced a song (during his studio sessions with Papa Willie) called "Just Another Sucker"
(it's here on TH-cam check it out) about a year before he released his debut album.
It's a full track, singing and everything.
By the way, "For You" was fully produced by a 19 going on 20 year old Prince... literally locked himself in a studio for 6 months, Owen Husney (Prince's first manager/A&R) convinced Warner Bros that Prince could do the entire album by himself and they VERY RELUCTANTLY let Prince sign their contract and gave him the studio key.
The disco classic "Soft And Wet" came from these 6 months studio recordings.
And, Eric Clapton said that Prince may be better than him on lead guitar. Eddie Van Halen (RIP) was in AWE of Prince's guitar solos and one of Prince's lead guitarists in the beginning (Dez Dickerson) said that Prince was a better lead guitarist than Jimi Hendrix and he would put his life on it.
Prince was the definition of "one of one" RIP.

Back in the 80s and 70s. Quarter waters, New York subway trains for 70 cents, old school oldsmobiles, bell bottoms, family fun, picnics, no internet, hopscotch, tube television, sunday morning comics in the papers, amusement park rides 50 cents, loaf of bread 45 cents, great music, fun times, loving times.

This piece was in a German man's old studio. His name was Foster Schulereist. He was an engineer who worked with The Mamas & The Papa's, Sly Stone, Joyce Mulluer, Bark Savons, Elton John, etc just to name a few. This track was a comp try for Prince and he used his early work as canvasise for future development. He, Paul Richmond and Steve Anthony-Serrison had 3 to 5 tracks to be deserned between them for a project, but Prince was not the type to unwillingly place his uncharted compositions amongst anyone so he waited. But the project went on without him so I'm assuming Prince sat on the composite piece because he was so convinced that his talent would produce more so he ultimately used this as a steppingstone to Minneapolis music development of his genre that we all know him for. His early works were great. And the rest is history. He went on to become one of music's most celebrated musicians.

This is during a time when fusion was big, the first song I've heard from Prince was "I'm Yours" and thought it was a new fusion band that came out, then heard "Soft & Wet" a month or two later but didn't connect it was the same artist, until my brother got his album but both I'm Yours and Just As Long As We're Together, has that late 70's fusion flavor to it.

Although this is an unnamed track, I would suggest the title be something like...Rising ⭐ or ⬆️ and Coming! Prince was not only a musical genius, but there were so many layers to him and his talent. He was blessed with insight and some of it was recorded throughout his musical lyrics and sound. He was a vessel that shed much light and love. He truly shared his musical gifts and talents with us and even left so much of it after his passing for us to draw from, learn from, listen to, love to, and plain old...enjoy!
