A weird yet kinda cool thing I would add to the part where Veronica says “I can’t promise no more Heathers” would show a brief montage of the Plastics from Mean Girls, since their film is set in the 2000s while Heathers is in the 80s. It would connect the two films by adding depth to Veronica’s line where after one popular girl group falls, another will always rise to take its place.

Bullying is horrible but being deserted and backstabbed by the closest and only friend that you have hurts far worse. If anything can be learned from Heathers it’s that, all (healthy) relationships no matter what type need perfect acceptance of an imperfect person.
