WFM is fine, but could we once and for all have the Exposure Latitude Zone System designed by Ed Lachman, ASC included in the CCM-1 PLEASE? That's present on the OS of almost every other SmallHD monitor. Even better, can we have it included on the cameras? That'll be like adding a REAL spotmeter on the log images, measuring in STOPS (as you do) and not IREs (we're not in the 20th century anymore) and as far as i'm concerned (and i'm pretty sure i'm not alone this time) if i can have that, you might get rid of WFM AND False Color altogether. DOPs are not ENGINEERS. They expose in STOPS. Thanks. Keep up the good job. Your tech talks are excelent and very valuable.

Hello Sean, Thanks as always for this well presented & informative video! I have a specific use case question for controlling the camera via WiFi when it's on a gimbal. In environments with a very full WiFi space (I'm thinking specifically of a resort/casino/hotel location) would we be better off connecting both the monitor and the camera to one of the existing networks to maintain the best connection, rather than have our router battle for signal space? Thank you in advance for your answer!

Hey there, thanks for the comment. In general, using an external WiFi network that is properly managed by an IT department will result in a more stable connection than trying to use a host network from a camera, if that host network has to compete with the situation that you're experiencing. It's a difficult question to answer definitively, as there are many variables, but it would be worth discussing your requirements with a network professional.

Does the wireless camera control using a travel WiFi adapter method work with the cine 7?

      You'd have to ask SmallHD!

It's a shame the alexa 35 doesn't offer full camera control. In the vid you point out a battery mounting option but I can't find a plate anywhere. Also whats the part number for the adaptor. I had been trying to find out if it would be possible to gain camera control through USB through the new teradeks, is that going to be an option?

Hi Pete, the CCM-1 offers full camera control with the ALEXA 35 and ALEXA Mini LF - you get exactly the same functionality as the MVF-2 Viewfinder when using the yellow VF connector on either camera.
The battery plate mounting holes are a common standard used by many "micro" battery plates, the Bebob VMM and AMM Micro series and Anton Bauer Titon Micro plates are two examples.
The part number for the CCM-1 Ethernet Adapter is K2.0048980. We're unsure about the Teradek USB functionality, we'd suggest reaching out to them!

Does the Adapter also works with the Small HD 5" and the Amira?

This adapter has been designed specifically for the ARRI CCM-1, we can't comment on other devices.

500 Nits is not enough for outdoor viewing IMO

Give it a go! You might be surprised. Plus, it's easy to add a power cable for 1500 nits.
