- Now that I've had a chance to drive the TRX4M, what do I think of it? This is a follow up video to my original unboxing and initial thoughts. Enjoy!

I just got a TRX4M Defender ( 2 weeks ago ) and discovered your TH-cam video on the Defender, I really liked your little journeys through the trails and beach side areas but, also other vehicles that you have. I want to thank you for time and talent to make these videos and I know I came in the right time to get into RC cars. Looking forward to your next video.
Dude keep going! Your videos are beautiful such good quality
Will do!
Great stuff! Have to agree - the TRX4m seems like a better built product out of the box. Hopefully my life will regulate a little bit so I can start making TH-cam videos with them again myself...goal is to do a full crawler build with a TRX! Can't wait to see what else you do with the TRX
I’d love to see it! I’m probably going to keep it mostly stock looking, though I will swap out the tires pretty soon
I have both and agree with you. I'm thinking of keeping my upgrades for the Defender Traxxas.
Glad to hear it! I’m really tempted to turn my defender into an LCG crawler but I really love it the way it is now
Totally agree. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
Thank you, you too!
Hope to get trx4m sometime after Xmas, grey defender like yours 👍👍😀
I hope so too!
Totally agree. The TRX4M drives like A1/10 scale.
It really does, traxxas really did a great job
I fully agree, out of the box, TRX is way better, and feels worlds better designed. Traxxas took their time and really put out a good product. I have a very built hardcore rock crawler in my SCX24, my TRX4M Defender will be a bit more of a scaler build. We win here either way, you can go any route you want with these little guys and excel with both.
Absolutely agree! The trx4m is a great scale truck and really excels, and you can basically turn the scx24 into anything you’d like with how much is available for it. Either way you can’t lose
I’ve got both as well and have to agree with everything you said 👍🏻
Glad to hear I’m not the only one
@@LittleGrey For sure!
I think anyone with complaints either forget this truck was built to be a trail truck or how much money and upgrades they've put in their SCX24 to be as good as it is today :)
i have to agree.. i got all the scx24's fully upgraded, i like them but the trx-4m is everything i wish the scx24 was. i can say the same about the fcx24 powerwagon, they're both better products but i hope axial makes major updates on the scx24 line because the competition is really tough now and i noticed more people are leaving axial behind.
I agree 100%. I’m hoping axial is taking note and working on an SCX24 II or something and make a lot of changes. They’re really fun platforms to build on, but they take a lot of work to really feel competitive. And the TRX4M starts off so much better
😁😁👍👍have a great Thanksgiving
Thank you, you too!
You are one more sub up. Let’s get him to 1 Thousand 🎉! Keep up the videos!!!
Haha thanks for the love! We’ll get there eventually!
There is no need to be apologetic about the having a preference (which I would agree with based on what I have seen) of one over the other. Honestly I am amazed what the TRX4M can do for the price.
I’m just bracing for the scx24 apologists to come for me lol. I was really blown away by the TRX4M in just about every aspect
@@LittleGrey Anyone who takes the time to browse through your previous videos will quickly find out that you are a fan of the sc24 (btw, you did a great job with that rebuild to Chevy, love it). I am very new to RC (have kids as an excuse, lol), but the TRX4M could well be my first crawler. I would just prefer one with a different body - either some older US offroad car/truck or a flat-bed truck (Toyota, Chevy, etc)
@@matusknives thank you so much! I’m really happy with the blazer as well, but you know how the internet can be… I really like the defender but I’m excited to see what other bodies become available as well, I think these are really going to take off
@@LittleGrey I can only agree. Looking forward to your future videos 👍
How secure is your Defender body? I bought both variants and my Defender body comes off easily w/o using the clips to remove😞. I like my trx4m Bronco a lot more than my scx24 deadbolt/wrangler, I think it’s because of the wheelbase and oil filled shocks, it’s not bouncy. As it for being planted in stock form, wait til you get the wheel weights! Great vid, I subbed a few days ago and look forward to more content.
Put a small piece of foam behind the clip to stop body from coming off easy
I was looking at those weights, I think they’ll go a long way to keep the tires on the ground. The clips for me have been great so far, but I also really haven’t tried to yank it off
I feel like my accessories are falling off such as mirrors and snorkel
👍🏻
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone
And a happy thanksgiving to you!
How can you make a fair comparison when one is a 1/18 scale and one is a 124 scale seems a little disingenuous. I would love to see you compare the trx4m to the FMS FCX 24 that would be a more fair comparison in my opinion
Those numbers mean very little. In the video you can clearly see how similar they actually are in size. They have the same size wheels, nearly the same size tires, the same wheelbase, and roughly the same width. Overall they are incredibly close in size
@@LittleGrey I don't see it being close with the width maybe the wheelbase but you're comparing it to a gladiator compare apples to apples,scx24 bronco vs trx4m bronco and you'll see the difference not to mention bigger motor, love your videos you do a really do a great job of being objective, however in this situation, I don't think it's apples to apples
Feathers ruffled… You have your own opinion it’s a 1/18 scale and the scx24 is 24 scale big difference anyway thanks……
Only in numbers. The new mini Capra is also considered 1/18th scale and is substantially larger than the trx4m. Would you say it’s fair to compare those two since they’re technically the same scale?
@@LittleGrey Everyone that "knows" about the "1/18 Capra" also knows that Axial really screwed up the scale on it. Seems it more of a 1/12 scale rock bouncers. Its like Axial just messed up thinking a rock bouncer was bigger IRL than a trail truck.
