Just a question. I owned a VVDI key tool max with out toyota 8A AKL adaptor and mini prog. Do i still also need to purchase the mini prog, if im gonna buy next is im608 pro. Or the 608 pro will do the job like just the vvdi key tool max and mini prog in your video? Does the 608 could do the same kind of work cause I'm gonna buy im608 pro

I would try prepping the superchip before attempting to write it like you did before. Set it as a the particular chip type before doing the step you did to write it.

Hello Mykeys, since this video, do you find the mini-prog useful, or do you use the Autel IM more?
i find it usefull for these certain vehicles other than that i find myself using the autel 100 percent of the time!!
very cool video, really liking my 608 to eeprom, the only thing seems like the AUTEL APA103 EPROM CLIP wears out fast and falls off the chip with in like 10 times of use? keep up the great work.

On sequoia 2003 is it possible for some of them to use 4C chip (2002) instead of toy44D67 ? I'm on a job where the security light gos off but there is some other issue and no start. Thanks
Yeah, use the 4C, if you generate it with the vvdi, generate as a 4C new chip… i was having issues as well, it wouldnt accept it, till i generated the 4c new chip with the key took max pro

@@pouncerminned863 yes I tried to do it myself but I had to buy the programmer and a special keys which ended up not working and I learned a lot. I just ended up pulling the box and sending it out to get programmed which was a lot cheaper and then reinstalling it put in the new key and it worked.

@@ied3vil to be fair the Locksmith life is very busy. It's even harder trying to do your job and make videos while having a customer over your shoulder. TH-cam is not paying enough for you to answer everyone's questions. You gotta think there are thousands of people with just 1 question. I even got people calling me. You should want to support the channel. I might not stay subscribed but every few months I will subscribe for a month or so just to support the channel. But to answer your question no one tool does everything. But we all know if we were to pick just 1 tool. It would be the im608.
@@segounlocks5029 in the time between my post i got a im508 and xp400 pro (1:1 same functionality as 608), and a maxysis 909 for diagnostics... after some experience, i'd also love vvdi, i have abrites but the licenses are sooo damn expensive...
@@ied3vil Yea except the j2534. The only other difference is size of the tablet and its specs. But because of the subscription, the 508 is a better buy. But the $500 tool with free updates is the game changer.
I believe the reason why you are losing your information in the device might be because you're not connecting two of the three legs on the blue oscillator.
I doubt it.. it could be a bugg with the pen, i will try again soon!

After losing all the data on a vw yesterday. I'm done with reading chips in circuit. The autel clip lost me a lot of money
so i have 2010 sequoia all keys lost only has one door cylinder on the driver side removed it there was no key code on it anywhere on the cylinder so i disassembled and read the wafers i got ??21322333 i inputed on lockcodes.com and there are no results
The cuts could be backwords so 2 would be a 3 and 1 would be a 4 ..also you want to be sure in what positions are the wafers you read...
Instacode is a good app I recommend.. its 13$ a month
Would instacode help me in this situation or will it convert the biting automatically if it is backwards
@@335135 there's two different cards one with 4 being the deepest cut and one with 1 being the deepest cut .. the one you need is 1 being the deepest.. it calculates bitting with the correct card also helps you check tumbler/wafer door lock positions
