@@-caesar3751 In the entire book series, Geralt uses Igni just once and that's for cutting some ropes. Igni isn't represented as some super strong flame throwing sign.
In the books, signs are not that practical, Aard is his go to sign, other than that, specific signs need specific situations and they're designed more for monster fighting. Geralt even says that he needs regular intakes of his witcher elixirs to keep his signs adamant, because they fade away without supplements with elixirs. So don't expect Geralt to just cast big flaming Igni, or Yrden in the show. He literally uses Aard %95 of the time
I played the games only so I always questioned this. Thank you for this. I guess I can't really correct people saying he actually has way more awesome abilities available whenever. Makes sense to amp it up for better gameplay. But in a live action sense, it would be expensive, probably disappointing, (like that Igni). There would be no challenge. I just hate that people just think he has the force. I'm sorry I'm high....😅
Geralt actually have a real talent for magic as well. His sign are way more powerful than your average Witcher, not to mention Geralt having a stronger batch of the mutation compare to any other Witcher. I always think signs are more of a “happy accident” for Witcher’s after the mutation. The mutation infuses magical property to their body forcefully, and turn Witchers into semi magical creatures. Signs aren’t spells, but they are more like an ability.
The show is fucking pathetic about setting up the world. It's not slavic, not Medieval Germanic either. It's just a mish mash of various sorts and doesn't feel like witcher at all
That's how he's mostly like in the books too. Signs are really not that strong in the books, they're more tricks than magical abilities, most sorcerers don't see signs even as magic. %90 of Geralt's sign casting is Aard for creating confusion or just pushing someone out of his reach. In the Bounds of Reason, he uses Igni. At the very beginning of the book, he uses heliotrope sign, and Axii Other than that, he just uses Aard when something's amiss. Weird thing though, there's this moment in the books where Geralt found himself in an actual battle he just happened on, his side was blocked by a burning pile of rubble on a bridge, Geralt had no idea what to do so he casts Aard, and *was actually surprised that it worked, because he wasn't taking his witcher elixirs for weeks and his sign casting was supposed to fade when he's not regularly taking his witcher decoctions*
Geralt is so prudent with Aard; really does save his life a few times. Wouldn't mind seeing Axii used a bit more in combat.
I mean I abuse aard in the game, but jeez geralt.
i abuse igni like this instead
Cheaper cgi than fire igni
I abuse quen or when fighting those spiders axii

Aard is by far my favorite Witcher sign
straight outa starwars

He already can used signs without the elixir, it's just the elixir grants him more strength
Lmao he used aard on the shield
0:34 bro casually waits to get stab

When he was fighting the Myriapod, he used Quen
still pissed they killed eskel as soon as they introduced him
Unpopular opinion but Yurden was my favourite sighn in the games
Aard is cool and all, but how about an Igni stream?
Maybe Netflix have Rights for only Aard
More igni plz
Interesting how in the first fight someone had a gladius.

1:09 is that yrden
yes
Am I the only one that noticed his hair went from pure white n black in episode 1 to blond in two lol
I guess he put mostly on aard upgrades on his skill slots.
Aard build with the frost mutation is the most fun so it's not surprising geralt himself did that
igni on vampires would be nice
What signs were those? 0:56
1:13?
Qen and Yrdyn
The balls of the last guy:)
shinra tensei :))))
the way he holds his sword is so stupid.
This could have been the greatest game/ book adaptation ever.
But it was made during the wrong era …the woke era 😡
Igni only gets used once. Geez. Underrated sign. And maybe I missed it, but Yrden and Axii are never used.
Geralt uses Axii on Roach once and Yrden gets casted by Lambert and Vesemir when trying to save Ciri from the deathless bitch 3:52
“Wow I bet the series will totally continue showing how Geralt is awesome and not cuck his role for feminism”
Bro
Dude uses only aard in the show, kinda annoying.

Alright boys question time
Igni or aard
Aard with frost go insane
