Glad you like the new throttle. It also makes programming easier as well. You may consider buying the digitrax rechargeable battery pack for the throttle. Iron planet hobbies has them on eBay. You plug the curly cord into the panel and it charges the battery pack. I use the pack because I am always afraid of batteries leaking or corrosion ruining my expensive throttle. Looking forward to your next video.
Great idea. I'll have to look into that. I've bought from Iron Planet on Ebay before and they have good service. I love using the DT602D, well worth the money!
I bought the UT6d and the UR93 first. Then 2 months later I bought the DT602D. I still have a DT500 that I use for programming since I can't figure out how to use the newer 602 to program. I also have my UR93 sitting on a flat board under the layout I have noticed when shutting down the DT602D that the batteries will last a long time. I have had mine over three months and the battery meter has hardly moved. So, shutting down the DT602D after each session is worth saving on battery life. Another thing I noticed you have to rock the power button's edge to turn on or shut down the system. For two weeks nothing responded and one night as I was about to throw it against the wall I saw when I rocked it to the side I could turn it off. The manual is misleading and should be changed. Still a good system and easy to use.
Yep, you have to press the right side of the power button to access the track on/off and power off. I enjoy using my DT602D, I feel like it is much easier to use than the old DT402.
@@SPSteve Either side pressed works for me. Had I not watched another You Tuber I wouldn't have known. And there is a way to keep the throttle from going dark after a few seconds. Far better with the DT602D power management than using a 9 volt battery with my DT500. Even back when I had the DT300, I would forget to flip the battery around and 2 sessions later it is dead. I read where Digitrax made popular or invented the 6 wire pin network which most other companies use today. Love following your vids.
@@daleroth236 I hadn't tried pressing the left side. I need to adjust the screen timeout, that can be annoying. But I guess not annoying enough since I haven't done it yet. Haha Thanks for watching, I appreciate you coming along on the journey!
I have the same Digitrax system as you do. I got the 602D and one of the smaller throttles. I have the blue battery packs that go with those. Of course I am not running much with the spine surgery I had on the 4th. Trying to get back into the train room. I did want to ask you about your Bragdon Rock Mold order. I am interested in your order list. I went back to video where you unboxed those molds, but you didn't really get into which item numbers you ordered. You only ID'd two of the molds. I have a canyon wall to do that is 21 feet long. There is to be a large mesa in the middle that I want to be able to lift out. So, I am considering their foam casting system to keep it light weight. The large mold you used in the center above the tunnels is one I want to use with the mesa. I have to curve it. Thanks!
The Bragdon molds I have are: 3, 4, 5, 11, 15, 77, 85, 88, 126, 127. I think the mold over the tunnel is 85. I'm not familiar with Bragdon's foam casting system, so I don't have an opinion on that, but I can see that after having back surgery, the lighter the better. I may buy a couple additional molds when I get to the rural half of my layout to try and keep the repetition to a minimum. Get well soon! I hope you have a full recovery and can get back to the layout in short order!

Hello Steve, I have almost caught up with all your videos mate. Sending love from England 😊
Hi Lee, I appreciate you watching them! I hope you found some useful bits you can use when you get your layout going.

@@SPSteve Thank you. This is helpful. The Bragdon foam method reminds me of the old Mountains in Minutes method. I think I will go with it.
