I bought the same rhinowalk bag a few months ago. Went out 3 weeks ago in torrential rain all day. It stayed bone dry inside. Was well impressed with it.

Without getting into specifics, there are so many products of all kinds that are literally identical. The only difference is the name on the label and the sticker price.
Agreed! And some are ridiculously overpriced because of the brand.. a few specifics are at the tip of my tongue in the luggage game haha!
I got 2 panniers this time last year, been great, done 3 tours and about 3k miles loaded never a issue.

Thanks for that, Sam, very interesting! IIRC, Kreiga have a "lifetime" warranty on their kit, which would partially explain *some* of the increased price difference, right? Grea test, we like to see destructive testing, it's the only way to be sure... ;) :D At that price, you might even consider these bags to put *inside* another bag you might already have (e.g. I have a largeish very old Oxford tail pack which is water resistant so I put everything inside that in plastic bags - this could perhaps be a slightly better (if more expensive) solution to that issue (I'm also currently experimenting with "waterproof" packing cubes in that role as well...) :) Those Kreiga metal clasps I suspect might be where the difference *really* shows itself up over time, even proper Kreiga stuff has failed in that way IME! :( On balance, it seems these are probably worth taking a punt on, right? :)
Yes they do I think but I guess it depends on what goes wrong with it. I suppose there isn't a huge amount that can go wrong eith them. Clips break or it leaks. I'm sure if seams started to pop they would blame the user for overpacking like most companies would with a warranty. Sometimes warranties are incredible and sometimes they are barely worth the paper they are written on! Completely depends on the company so would have to hear more about Kriega themselves, or Lone Rider/Mosko etc.
I was genuinely shocked it stood up to the abuse almost as well as the Kriega did. And every message or comment received about people owning them has been nothing but positive so I'd say its worth a punt for sure. A few people have said they are going to grab one as a cheap tool bag to strap to the back of their enduro bikes which seems like a great idea
I actually bought the 35l rhinowalk tail bag for the passenger seat on my Goldwing and it’s really well made. Was £160 so not cheap. Around £100 less than other leading brands. Very impressed with it. Good video mate 👍🏻
Great to hear you like it! I was ready for that bag to tear itself to bits in the drag test, and if not that, expecting it to fill up like a balloon in the jetwashing, but nothing! Super impressed with it for such a bargain price compared to the others on the market
@@SamVBikesthis one was bought in a rush from Amazon as the sw motech ones would have taken 4 days or more just before I was going on a trip. I actually think it’s a good bag. I mean I didn’t drag it through muck and ice on a monkey on a green lane but mine has held up well over a year ! Funny video mate. Gave me a laugh tonight. Subbed.

I have used Rhinowalk pannier bags on my T100 for a year and love the product, 2x20 litre bags less than 100 quid excellent quality.

I’ve got the rhino walk copy of the sw motech tail bag similar to Richy Vida and I’m well impressed so far, not used much but I’ll defo be giving it a good go this year.

Great product test Sam, I love that you really abused this kit and that they wouldn't normally get such abuse. I'm impressed with the rhino results, especially for the price! I but they would work in conjunction with kreiga products too to build on existing kit I have! 👍
Thanks bud! I was very surprised it managed to stand up to my abuse! Definitely wouldn't even get close to that level of abuse on a day to day basis! Unfortunately the clips don't go together but there's no reason to say you couldn't use the same loop rings and hooks on both!
@@SamVBikes sounds like they will work together in a reasonable way. I would have bought more kreiga kit if it was not so expensive as I would use it enough to justify the outlay. To leave a rhino.bag permanently strapped to the bike for carrying locks would be okay as it's unlikely to get nicked like a kreiga would!
Exactly that mate! And if you manage to ruin a Rhinowalk bag, you can replace it twice before you get to the cost of one of the Kriegas!
@@SamVBikes and you can get a full set for the price if 1 kreiga bag too. I don't ride in the bad and cold weather but if you look at heated body warmers and stuff, aimed at fishing and other activities that are non bike branded kit, the prices are a fraction of keiss and gerbing. I do wonder how they would compare? It seems bike branded gear carries a premium price and in some instances, 4 or 5 times the price of the alternatives but, like the rhino kit, looks suspiciously similar!
Yeah would definitely be interested. I guess the Keis and Gerbing stuff has to have a much better resistance to cold, and go much hotter as its got to deal with the wind chill at 70mph! But the luggage.. that has no excuses haha

Hello mate, I got some Rhinowalk 48L saddle bags last year. Served me well on the NC500 with rain on the way up for 5 hours!
Selling now as I can’t be bothered with the straps. A great bag if you are on a budget!

Nice mate! Yeah part of me would love some decent panniers which are rackless but I can't bring myself to spend the money for the once or twice a year I use them.

What is the bar end mirror/handguards you got? Doing my monkey like a scrambler and your set up looks ideal.
They are cheap universal ones off Amazon! The mirrors are CNC bar ends! Let me know if you can't find them and I'll try to find the order so I can send the links

The handguards seem to have different mounts if you swap the design. Joe bought the carbon versions off this link and had a different mount turn up!

I have fitted biltwell thruster grips instead and got a handlebar brace coming, grips are thicker and way nicer, combined with brace they should dampen the vibes now the bar ends are removed but can always poke a hole in the ends later if i decide to add handguards.

Surely, the cost for Kriega is in the design, initial test, getting it to market, promotion, and warranty's. Where as Rhino have simply copied and ripped them off. Good for consumers short term, but will it be worth all that effort in the long term. I unfortunately would buy the cheaper one, but feel a bit embarrassed about it. Good test, though. Keep up the good work.
Yeah definitely. I assume there is some level of testing, promo etc for Rhinowalk but save a shed load in not having to do the design and everything else! Thanks for watching
