I was always annoyed by the paint scene where Adrian somehow managed to wash every trace of paint off the suit and into the sink in like 15 seconds. How did he know it was all off? Did he throw his entire torso under the sink? There's just no way he could have gotten himself squeaky clean and ready to rumble with no trace left on the suit.
Adrian willing to hurt an innocent child, killed Cecilia's innocent sister, and killed random officers just doing their jobs, I say killing him is justified.
I personally would’ve done what Cecilia did in a heartbeat. Would killing him have been unnecessary? I don’t think so. Preventing a whole bunch of shit from happening (again) is much better than defending against it.
@@jjonahjameson8429 let me introduce you to another lesson about living in society. 1. It's public comment section so anyone can reply any comment 2. Surprisingly we are not fucking NPC in your life, but autonomous humans. As far as I see you aren't author of og comment so I miss the reason why anyone would need permission from you to join.
Killing Adrian was absolutely necessary. He has damn near unlimited resources so who knows what kind of shit he could do and you would constantly be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life even if he never bothered you again. Not to mention that pos deserved it anyways just for what he did to her BEFORE the movie actually started
I agree, and she was dead set the moment she stabbed bro with that pen in the cell. You could almost hear a click of certainty in the movie. Once she fought back, she wasn’t gonna give up until she spilled blood.
The only objection I have is her chosen method. Attempting to make it look like a suicide was stupid, and not just because at this point everyone knows about the invisibility suits so the camera footage is incredibly suspicious. Adrian was strong enough to punch through a car window and lift her off her feet one handed. Banking on her ability to overpower him and forcably slit his throat was not a smart move. Better option, take a gun to dinner and shoot him from across the table, then call the police yourself. Going to jail is a very minor risk, especially since she's got a pretty solid battered woman defense. Even if that doesn't work, going to jail is still a way better outcome than a plan that relies on physically overpower the man who's been tossing her around like a rag doll all movie while he's holding a knife.
If he doesn't already have CIA/NSA backing letting him get away with MKULTRA/Epstein bullshit, the day Adrian steps inside their office for a Werner von Braun type deal is the day Celia becomes a ""wanted terrorist.""
@@Prexon339 I saw the old movie and read a couple of the first few chapters but knowing how it ends (movie wise) is a spectacle and I get why this movie was so violent
The downside to most of these solutions is that it assumes Adrian isn't capable of adapting tactics. Adrian is clearly stronger, smarter, and more connected than Cecilia. Her money is coming directly from his estate, and I'd assume he has a way of tracking what she spends it on. Not to mention he's able to keep constant watch on her personally without any trace. There are simply no preparatory measures she could take that would take him by surprise. And when he sees what she's doing, he would definitely shift gears to turn it against her. Buying off security teams, making sure specialty gear never arrive, sabotaging any self-defense classes, etc.
Yeah, Cecilia is dealing with pure evil and the reality is he had won. He completely sabotaged everything in her life and had complete control over any outcome outside her own immediate doing. The only way she was going to live past giving birth was with Adrian dead.
Except, if she gets in a car, or even public transportation, Adrian is 100% done. He can't get in the car with her without giving it away, even if she gets on a bus, it's possible he couldn't get on if she's standing there paying for the ticket (and he'd have to stand right behind her in line), or he'd be in too close proximity to others and be felt. If she gets in a car she can go anywhere she needs and buy anything she needs. She would also be able to stash the things she buys in a secure location since Adrian won't have any way to know (assuming she pays cash or uses another way to hide the storage unit payment).
A handgun with a laser is all she needed. You would see the end of the laser hitting something invisible and then a couple rounds to kill the dude. You can buy both these in person with cash. No need to order specialty equipment.
As a survivor of domestic abuse I say this is spot on how it actually is emotionally. I got married very young to a much older guy who ended up abusing me mentally and physically for years. The physical part was no where near as bad as the emotional and it took me 4 yrs in counseling to fully recover from the ptsd I had. Didn’t know how bad he had damaged me psychologically till after I left and started dating again months later. I remember the first time my boyfriend came home I quickly jumped out of bed and begged for forgiveness for taking a nap because my ex would get severely mad at me and start beating on me or yelling at me if I didn’t call to ask his permission first. The most dangerous time for a woman or even a man in a abusive relationship is when you leave. I was stalked months after not only by him but his family. So this kind of thing happens unfortunately and how scared she was and paranoid is very true to how survivors behave after leaving. I now work with other women like myself who have gone through this. I have lost a few friends as well because a lot of women won’t make it after leaving their abusive partner. They end up getting murdered or take their own life because of the stress they are put under. But it is worth it because I rather have died trying to get out then having to live the rest of my life like that. I am back in court with him now because we are having custody issues. he threatened in the past if I took him to court he would kill me. But now I’m not afraid of him and yes I do own multiple Guns. And I keep my address secret. But these kind of people feed on fear and control. Don’t bow to it! The best revenge is living a full and successful happy life. And not being afraid to stand up for yourself. Make sure people are aware of what’s going on, get a weapon like a gun to defend yourself, keep a tape recorder or a voice recorder app on your phone to record their threats so you can get a restraining order, SEEK COUNSELING IMMEDIATELY because you will need help getting over some of the traumatic events, and never be afraid to leave. Plan ahead and if you have no where to go call a domestic abuse shelter they will help you. Abusers are able to do this by making you believe you’re less than and cut all of your support off. But there is always a way to escape. You don’t deserve that and you deserve to be happy and loved. So please if you are in the situation I was in with someone abusing you, please don’t stay quiet and just get out. I understand it’s hard but I’m telling you your life will improve when you do.
The only thing that bothered me about this movie was how strong the invisible man was. He punched threw the window in the beginning with his bare hand, and then later in the movie he lifts up Cecilia by her neck with one had. Then he’s able to beat up the cop pretty bad with his fists causing blood to gush everywhere. The invisible guys (both of them) look no more than 180 pounds soaking wet. That cop she was living with looks very cut and more than capable of defending himself against a lanky lawyer and a scientist who clearly spends all his time working on tech. Unless they had brass knuckles or the suit gave them super strength, just seems so unrealistic. But then again, this is a movie about a guy who rather than using his cutting edge tech to do a bunch of cool stuff with his invisible suit, he fakes his death just so he can mentally and physically abuse his ex wife for hope that she’ll get back with him.
Even though this is a pretty good movie, I still have several problems with it. Mainly, Emily. If my sister called me to schedule a ride for the middle of the night then was extremely panicked when she got in my car, I wouldn't be sitting there playing 20 questions. I'd drive on and ask questions on the way. Second, I don't care if the man is supposedly dead, you do not take any chances of leading anyone to a hideout. My first thought would be that he may have someone trying to find Cecelia to hurt/k!ll her. Then, believing an email that presumably is unprovoked. Nothing about Cecelia's behavior suggested hurtful feelings toward her sister. Then, the blank stare at the knife. Idk, y'all. If I saw a knife floating in the air, I wouldn't just be like, "Huh. That's weird." Like what??? Come on, girl.
Yeah, your last part is flawed. What would you do exactly if you saw it floating? Grab it? Edit; keep in mind what's been going on already and the drugs in her system
I do agree that Emily should've driven away right away, but what we have to consider is that Emily's and Cecilia's relationship was likely very strained. Adrian has been isolating her for years, likely sabotaging any close relationships she has and in the eyes of everyone else, he was the picture perfect husband. Emily had no reason to believe that Cecilia, who lives in a mansion by the sea, is being abused and is actively in danger. She was likely annoyed that she had to drive to an obscure place in the middle of the night, rather than recognizing the cry for help.
Leaving her with massive resources basically ruins this movie by itself. Nerd already mentioned it, but hiring private security, outfitting them with thermal equipment and moving to a heavily fortified house would have kept her safe. Hell, she could have just gotten a home with reinforced walls and windows, then put a bear trap by the front door.
@@gear2902 except at that stage of the movie, Adrien is still confirmed to be "dead" via suicide. In his will, to give her a monthly payment of 100k, wouldn't have been able to be affected by him directly. He would have had advance his timeline and/or modify the original plan. which would also have left him at a high risk of being exposed too early. As was what happened in the movie, her being convicted/accused of murder was what made the legal document null and void according to the wishes laid out in the will. Someone modifying it after his supposed death would be fairly illegal/fraudulent. Unless there was parts written in that makes this possible. A living representative to dictate what happens. So his brother could have been given the legal power to do such things, power of attorney to be specific, arbiter.
@@gear2902 I mean no amount of resources is going to fix that problem. Sure he could get in and kill her or just blow the house up or something, but he wouldn't be able to directly terrorize her. She also knows what he's up to. He doesn't have super powers, she could absolutely surround herself with trained soldiers with IR equipment. If he got anywhere near her, he'd be exposed. He exposes himself anyway with the phone thing in the attic, so it's pretty much guaranteed that he gets caught at some point. There was no reason to give her those resources in the first place. It accomplished nothing, and even a single payout would have given her enough money to pull off what I just said for a few few months. I don't think dead men can modify the terms of their wills either. It was just a stupid thing to include at all that doesn't serve the plot in any way, and just introduces a major issue that make the protagonist look like a giant moron.
The phone in the attic thing should have ended this, first thing people do in those situations is call the police and say "Hi I hear movement and talking in my crawl space above the house, I think somebody has snuck inside and is living in there, please send help". After that the police would arrive, find all the stuff and at LEAST assume somebody was messing with her, maybe not Adrian invisible, but either his brother or somebody he hired. They'd likely then question the brother to find out what he knows as he'd be a prime suspect for helping him set all this up.
He is rich, bold to assume he doesnt have connections to put this stuff under the rug. It would never lead to adrian and he would just come up with new plans.
@BustBoy333 if two cops mysteriously disappeared they’re gonna send more cops to come look for them, realistically he can’t kill all of them. He would get caught pretty soon
I love how Cecilia ends up being proven right about every single thing she was telling people, but then when she tries telling them it was definitely Adrian who set it all up and is now attempting to look innocent; they immediately go back to "that's impossible, you're being crazy!" The dude made a fucking invisibility suit to stalk and harass his ex, but he couldn't possibly fake his death/kidnapping whilst framing his brother to appear innocent? It's gotta be the dude who has no logical motive for doing what he did and would've had very limited or no knowledge on how the suit works/how to use it without Adrian's help. The suspension of disbelief needed for this movie isn't for the technology, it's for the sheer moronic ignorance of all the people in it. You have half a mind to think they're all in on it with Adrian with how actively they're trying to defend him.
The main question to that is what motive does the brother have to be doing that? We can argue that maybe he was being framed, but with what? He still had to willingly put on the suit, we know for sure he was in on some of the bigger plan already, why wouldn’t we think it’s possible he did it? Do we have proof of he was framed? We eventually found proof of everything else that she was claiming but no proof that Adrian is framing his brother.
The movie began with a sister who didn't begin driving when the window was shattered. She only started driving when her sister was halfway out the window. So you are correct.
Nah, the tech makes 0 sense and would’ve had to be developed for years and years with multiple variants not just a few suits in his lab. I mean I could get deeper but for me they offer the dude way too much ability he is a normal human being and lives a place where there’s a lot of people with lots of money so no way he gets away with any of this in any sort of legitimate way. It’s so much risk that would all depend on his brother getting killed.
In one of the scenes I think I saw an arm portion of the invisible suit but in a bulky shape. Like it had shell like layers in the arm before the final suit
Dropping straight down from the attic while holding the knife would have been a terrible idea. There's paint on the ground you could easily slip and fall from, and if you're holding the knife there's a serious risk of you accidentally stabbing yourself
Well, if she had fallen and stabbed herself he would have come down to help her. He wants her to have the baby so if she were to injure herself and possibly the baby, he would have stopped his attack. And if he did she could use that to her advantage, playing up her injury so that he may call for help of even take her to the hospital. Then she could report everything he did to her. But this is under the assumption that he won't just get her sedated for possibly trying to "kill herself" like he would spin it; though if her injuries aren't in line with what he says then she has at least a small chance to use that.
I doubt this, paint aint even all that slippery. Secondly, from the angle she dropped, she would've certainly slipped on her back, and the way she was holding the knife would result in it hitting the side. Plus even if she tripped, she would hold her hands out on instinct, how would she get stabbed by a flat knife?
13:28 A general mistake so many characters make in movies is not taking a moment while they are searching for the antagonist to ask themselves, “What do I do if I find them?” Wtf was this lady going to do if she found her husband outside the open door?
She didn't care. She just wanted to know. Clearly wasn't thinking straight considering the circumstances Edit; plus the drugs he's been sneaking in her system by this point
It's possible that Adrian would have been arrogant enough to think that he had that much control over her, so he wouldn't need to be careful with his passwords.
Personally, when finding Adrian’s phone, If I remembered James’s phone number I’d send the pictures to his number. Doing so would raise suspicion especially if Ceciliia is in the pictures. James knowing it wasn’t him, his daughter, or cecilia would have enough alarms raised to call the police. Especially coming from Adrian’s phone number, the police would have to take her more seriously.
While it's the logical sollution. It still wouldn't prove it was Adrian or an invisible man. There's also the fact that she's so paranoid and strucken by fear that a lack of judgement in the moment makes sense
@@matheussandbakk9959 still, people would have to put a bit more consideration into her claims. Though they might not believe it's an invisible man or Adrian, they'd still have to keep close watch of james, his daughter, and cecilia if a stalker is out and about. Substantial evidence like that would be enough to start an investigation.
@matheussandbakk9959 no but that's not the point at that stage, the main point is establishing that she's being stalked so that she gets help to prove it's Adrian
I watched a drunk friend smash someone’s passenger side window out with his fist once and he’s not even that rough of a guy. Adrian looks like a beast and definitely could’ve easily shattered that window irl
The one thing I dislike the most about this movie is the fact that half the physical stuff done to others make no sense. Like there's no way Cecilia could hit the daughter so why would the daughter think it came from Cecilia. She should be more confused on who hit her. The part where her sister died makes no sense, as there's no way no one noticed Cecilia not getting up and sitting back down. Even when everyone isn't looking, someone must've seen it happen, and realized a floating knife killed her.
@@alwegiesushimi6137 they were a table length away. At least one person would've saw her getup, or sit back down. Yet no one does. Or even see the floating knife that clearly isn't being held by her.
RIGHT?! I was like at least have a kid see it to explain why people would think Cecilia killed her sister because kids are rarely listen to especially if they said the knife flew up
@@deliriouszora Most people can reach across a dinky two person cafe table, especially with the added reach of a knife. Use a carrot or something harmless to try doing so if you doubt it. It wasn't exactly a banquet hall.
Another important note: Since the suit works off of cameras and screens, not bending light, he would still have a shadow. So if you really want to track him down in your house keep all the lights on and keep the rooms fairly open, that way you'd see Adrian's shadow and record it, proving he's there.
That's not correct. If the suit mimics the light that would have gone through the space he was in if he wasn't there from all directions, he would have no shadow.
@@grahamcrosbie394 If the lights on the suit mimicked the light that would have passed through the space he occupied then he would have no shadow. Calcium is wrong.

@@Tom-en1mu yes and as the inheritor to his will you probably would have that right as well. Granted that isn't always possible for example if the person was cremated or buried it's harder to achieve
The most gut-wrenching scene for me was the one in the restaurant where Cecilia for the first time reconnects with her sister just for her throat to get sliced open.
@@MsNorthernTiger more like black magic. It gives you temporary power for potentially long term negative effects. The stronger the effects the more powerful the negative consequences
I really love some of the shots in this movie. The camera follows one of the guard's head as it gets slammed into a window and falls to the floor is one example.
I wonder how well the murder of her stalker would've held up in court since a lawyer could argue how would she know how to operate such a suit and if it's even her size
oh God yeah it's sized for a grown man not a woman how the fuck did that work at the end? well I guess if it's loose it's invisible anyway so it wouldn't really matter? God this movie is so good but the second you start questioning it hurts your brain
@@RequiemPoete yeah but you also can't get charged just because they think you did it with no real evidence if they found the suit on her then yeah boom she did it but if she hid it then the argument of why would she even know how to operate something like that could work
The reason Adrian does all these things, and thinks no one is capable of matching him intellectually (which is why Cecelia is able to guess his passwords, because he underestimates her) is because he is the quintessential narcissist.
This episode should be fun, considering this movie has some of the most egregious examples of plot forcing things to happen unnaturally/illogically for the sake of drama and tension that I've seen.
@@Tom-en1mu She doesn't take the stolen optical suit to the police as proof that her abusive ex-boyfriend may still be alive but wearing one of these suits. She doesn't even try putting that stolen suit on to escape the mansion until the end when the plot calls for her to use it. She doesn't call the police when she hears footsteps in her attic, leading to the first encounter because she checks it out herself. When the daughter gets punched, she immediately assumed it was Cecelia despite her being far enough away that it couldn't have been her. And a girl of Cecelia's size being able to throw a punch powerful as that? Impossible. There's plenty more examples, just the most glaring IMO.
@@joebundy69 I think because of *Cecelia's mental state* during the majority of this movie these aren't really that bad in all honesty. I mean her not calling the police ~ although bad, the police were introduced into this movie, and they just found the bad guy faking being captured (I think) and it didn't lead to anything other than Cecelia being thought to be more crazy (and her thinking herself as so) - and like in the video, we don't know if the police would take her side/are working with Adrian. I do think not wearing the suit until the end was weird because without putting it on when she first picked it up, it is probably unlikely that she would of even been allowed to put it on (since she was still being watched by an invisible person at basically all times), since she could just be stopped ya know? Also I feel like the definition of 'impossible' are being misused here. Yeah it was *very very unlikely* that the daughter punched her ~ but unless she knew that he was invisible at this time (which I don't believe she did) it is literally the only reasonable option imo, I mean 'invisible man? or something super unlikely happening' ~ due to the fact that invisibility is probably impossible (I mean even the tech in the movie is super unrealistic) I would personally choose the second one.
@@deprimada3560 I understand not stabbing him in the head and panicking when she threw the pain on him. But after that she had the phone that belonged to what's his face, which had pictures of her sleeping on it. The police are fucking useless, but that would at least have proven that there was a stalker after her, regardless of her mental state. The fact that it was what's his face's phone doesn't prove he's still around, but it does prove someone close to both of them is doing it. At the very least she could have gotten protective custody, and anything that happened to to anyone close to her after that would have easily been chalked up to the stalker. He would have effectively lost all of his power and influence over her.
Like I don't really believe in death as a punishment, but in this situation I'd agree as he's insane, dangerous and so close to walking scott free. In that situation I wouldn't even consider it murder, but an act of self defense. If the evidence was there and he was going permanently to jail, I think that would be the fitting sentence however. Though the situation of being the person, stalked and abused for so long, with so many close people harmed or killed, I probably would have done the same as it's not about justice or logic at that point, but straight up feeling so unsafe until his existence is gone
@@matheussandbakk9959 Also people like this never go away, the only real way to confirm that you're safe from them is if they die. In real life most people like this don't have the resources that Adrian does so you technically could get away, but with Adrian, Cecilia had no way out unless he was dead.

Hind sight is 20/20. She did what she had to do. If she had turned evidence over to police unqualified to understand the situation and also unable to prove certain actions due to the invisibility factor he would have been released. Not to mention he probably had an army of lawyers and endless funds and connections to make sure he was released. She absolutely did what she had to do, she would have died otherwise and her baby (if she kept it) would have eventually ended up in his hands.
Exactly, at least NerdExplains understood his foolishness after saying such a thing that she didn't have to murder him. The only reason she wasn't killed was because he still wanted her baby, that's literally it. And once he got what he wanted, you think she magically wouldn't be murdered and supposedly die from childbirth??? Like hello, we are dealing with someone who can and will get away with murder repeatedly. Wearing the invisibility suit or not, you weren't seeing the real him, only what he wanted you to see. Only the victim herself knew the real him. Slowly, us the viewers started coming to the same realization she knew all along, that she was going to be killed by him or she had to kill him. She tried to do it the non-violent way as Nerd explains at the beginning of the movie. Look how that turned out.
It was out of self-defence, the reality is she would have been metaphorically burned at the stake, she was put in a lose-lose situation. Anyone who has been a victim of narcissistic abuse and is aware of that can relate to this movie.
@@egopathtime3273 Adrain didn't care bout the baby. The dinner he made proves that. He made sushi with raw fish and had wine there. Things that will harm the baby. Is he wanted that baby. @@richelledecastro7705 That's an interesting take, personally I see it as him setting more traps to blame her as a bad mother to cause her pain. His whole thing in the movie was sabotaging her life, and the theme of him messing with her food was persistent all throughout the movie. I think him being a sadist isn't too far fetched. But your point still stands, that he only cares about the baby in terms of "winning" his little game and further destroying Cecilia in the most painful way possible. By giving then taking and withholding. Very classic abuser tactics. I made him out to be less of a monster than he really was, I stand corrected. I did not catch that part with the bad food as I was only able to watch the movie halfway through and relied on this review for the rest.
@@richelledecastro7705 Yeah, his scene in the rain with her, about hurting those she loves, yeah, it does give a motive for why he wanted the baby, to fully control her. That's part of his little game, you don't discard him, he discards you.
Killing Adrian was really fucking satisfying regardless of wether he deserved it or not. And if you ask me, he did deserve it for all the people he’s abused, manipulated, assaulted, and outright murdered. If he were left alive, he very likely would’ve preyed upon more individuals like Cecilia, if not because of wanting to control another unknowing victim, at least so that he would show Cecilia he was gonna torture another woman, and psychologically torture her again. That’s why he needed to be taken off the human census in my eyes.
@@MDG-mykys It had to be him. For starters a narcissist would have no reason to keep such a great invention a secret. Secondly the brother would have no reason to waste all his time and effort on Cecilia who he barely knew. If he wanted to hurt Adrian he would just kill her and give him the news. Thirdly at a point the brother offers Cecilia an out is she agreed to go back to his brother. Finally Adrian himself dropped hints that it was him all along.
@@OK-yy6qz yeah, but you never know for sure, none of these are proofs. I know she had to get away from him, but she had enough evidence for domestic violence.
@@MDG-mykys actually there's a proof. It would be impossible for the brother to make it into her cell in time ,he would be escorted outside of the jail when the meeting was over and the girl would be escorted into her cell immediately he simply didn't have the time to change into the suit and follow her back into the cell. So that had to be Adrian. Also filling a case for domestic abuse on a guy this powerful wouldn't even phase him realistically and im not even sure if she had that proof.
@@OK-yy6qz Time calculation isn't much of a proof and that just tells us that it might not have been the brother but someone else, and you haven't watched the video if you say it will do nothing to him, in these times it matters less how rich you are, plus he not completely guiltless, he should still be suspect for the events, the police won't exclude the case of staging. But in the end it matters less, I'm not saying it wasn't him, but that you can't prove it and in this movie, with an invisibility suits and many inconsistencies, logic matters less.
I think your comedy is much better than cinema summary. And you don’t fill the video with, “what they do next we haunt them forever” type of comments. Thank the lord we have the nerd to explain
Her biggest mistake was when the sheet got stepped on, not body slamming him in the bedroom with Sydney sleeping right there and James in the next room. I'd love to see Adrian try to explain that.
Honestly, I think this movie exemplifies any woman's greatest fear. The possessive, stalker who is not only a billionaire but has access to optic camouflage and can influence your personal space in ways you could never escape. Actually that reminds me, what happened to the Dog?
I've gotta say emily got very lucky, it seemed that adrian didnt really want to kill her. which made this much easier. Going into public places with cameras is the best option. Cause the knife thing wouldnt have worked if there were any cameras at all. Which most places have cameras, after being the so called murderer. Claim you never did it, and an invisible man framed me, then say to watch the camera feed and it will prove adrian is alive. Then the police and more can all work together to fight him.
@@Homelander1234 you could request in court for them to review the video footage and they would legally have to go and get the footage So don't say that let them take you to court then request for them to watch the footage Even if Adrian sabotaged the cameras somehow that would cause some investigation even if not related to your murder case Plus he couldn't do much to you in jail anyway
He's a genius billionaire he's basically evil Tony stark, and you don't think if Andrian can make an invisibility suit he can hack the cameras in the city?
I love how the directors of this movie purposely made wide shots where you can see the whole area showing that Adrian is right there in the scene but you don't see him they make a wide shot so you know he's there but they don't let you know he's there it's so cool

I'm gonna geek out for a second at the amazing guntuber channels that NE uses as his resources on here. You get clips from Lucas at T-Rex Arms, Mike from Garland Thumb, Matt from Demo Ranch AND the sickest Asian in the world, Tu Lam with Robin Tactics?! You seem to be pretty well-versed in the firearm realm and I absolutely respect the shit out of you for it. Even if you only use them as resources to make a point, that's much more than most people will do and makes me think you're actually interested in the reality of firearms and weapons technology for your content. One thing I will say, however, is that I would recommend using some sort of standalone FLIR or similar thermal monocular to search for heat signatures rather than specifically using a thermal scope on a rifle. With the scope, you necessarily HAVE to be pointing a gun where you're wanting to look and are thus limited by the field of view. With a standalone, you can use it basically any time without having to point a rifle around, risking the safety of others and possibly causing significant legal problems or red flags. I'm sure you have enough skill and resourcefulness to be able to find the information, but if you ever need any assistance in making determinations or detailed information regarding firearms or firearms technology, I would happily lend you a hand because that's my specialty. Well done, NE. It makes me want to unsubscribe just so I can hit subscribe again!
Just for reference, because I don't think it was mentioned, the knife used to slit Emily's throat was the same knife taken from Cecelia's kitchen fire incident, hence implicating her further as a psychopath.
I remember when you were only at 100K subs. You really helped me during the beginning of quarantine. It's crazy how much you've grown, congrats on a million 😈
I do really enjoy the notion of hiring a small seal team to deal with it. Adrian sneaks his way in as the lads and lasses make their way out of the closest, thermal vision and a joyful grin. Quick choke slam "I seeee yooouuu"
So what I'm doing is wating you out till there is like 8 or 9 vids I haven't seen yet, then binging them all. This ones like number 3 so its gonna be a while from now. Sooooo worth it though.
With the part where Adrian punched Cecelia's friend, that made me mildly upset. They look to be atleast 4 feet apart, and there's no way in heck Cecelia could have punched her so quickly, from the side no less, when she was 4ft in front of her
I thought it strange that James didn't check Cecilias' hands to see if she had punched Sydney or anything for that matter. Her knuckles would have reddened due to the amount of force she'd have to apply to send Sydney flying. Plus, based on the positioning, Cecilia would have had to use her left hand to punch Sydney. Cecilia is right handed. A crazy person would more likely have used their dominate hand. James should have known/realized this being a cop and all. True, it could be said that his Dad mode overruled his Cop mode, but nonetheless.
@@gamerleal9265 I think the logical explanation is that, who else could they have believed to do that? In such a situation and I was punched, I'd think it more logical I wasn't paying attention and the woman who is the only one nearby (and looks like she's having a mental breakdown) punched me than speculating it was an invisible man.
Yeah plus I know for sure that the girl would have SEEN Cecelia hit her if she did, which she didn't. I would be freaking out because I just got punched by nothing. My first thought would not be that my trusted friend hit me.
Definitely agree with killing him to protect herself and her child if she was going to continue the pregnancy. Having to live in fear is not living. And he killed her innocent sister.

I just wanna share that the only thing that makes moe want to watch more "how to beat videos" are how you explain stuff, easy understandable with twist.
Im actually happy to see the ending for this movie was at least a bit clever and justified. She was definitely more clever than most horror movie protagonists.
A plan that relies on her physically overpowering a man who's been tossing her around like a ragdoll the entire movie and who we saw punch through a car window without his suit at the start is not a clever plan. The fact that it worked doesn't change the fact that it was a dumb plan.
That intro music makes me feel like Im walking up to the final boss. Love ya videos, excited to see what's going to happen with this channel in the new year!
The first thing I thought of was Predator 1. So I would go into the woods, cover myself in mud, and set up all sorts of traps (net traps, pitfall traps, etc) while the Predator theme music is playing in the background. After everything is set up, I'd make a huge bonfire and give a firm war cry, indicating that I'm ready to get down dirty and nasty... that didn't sound quite as I intended... or did I?
I never watched this movie but I have a theory for a motive for adrian's brother: if Adrian put in the will that she would get the money as long as she wasn't convicted of a crime, setting her up for said crimes would stop the payments and then perhaps the money might go to him. If the brother killed Adrian for his money and only found out about the payments when the will was read... Just a theory
That does seem like a surprisingly possible motive. It definitely does seem reasonable enough to hold up, although the movie unfortunately didn't go too deep on Adrian's brother's side of the story, so we don't get to know for sure if that was the case, or not. Definitely interesting to think about, though.
I think people forget that sometimes family helps family no matter how wrong their family member is. That sickness in Adrien is probably in his brother too.
Would make sense as long as he didn't keep coming after her while she was in the physh ward. In fact the only way the invisible Man could have made into her cell in time (assuming the brother would have been escorted outside and Cecilia would have been escorted straight to her cell) is that Adrian was also in the room already wearing the suit.
Appreciating all the callbacks this episode. Btw I've known a couple people who have punched in car windows and windshields. Doesn't turn out great for anyone who does it but it's possible.
I went into this movie thinking it would be really different, as it had high reviews and remakes usually don't get high marks unless they revolutionize the story in some way. As the story moved along, the inconsistencies began piling up, such that I became convinced that there was a big plot twist coming. 1. Adrian committed suicide, but somehow they either confirmed that with no body, or he snuck out of the morgue after feigning death and no one noticed. Maybe he paid off the morgue, the funeral home, the cops and the reporters? But that’s so many potential leaks, there’s no way that’s feasible. Especially since he wasn’t really a criminal mastermind. He was a California tech mogul. I don’t know how much power those guys have over the entire justice system, but I don’t think it’s that much. 2. Why did her sister, who knew she was coming out of an abusive relationship, completely shut down on her after receiving an email? Something that is very easily faked and very easy to brush off. In the email, she says something like “I never want to see you again. I don’t want to know you.” And then she shows up at the sister’s house…Yet the sister is still convinced she sent the email? What kind of logic is that? She said she didn’t send it and is obviously going through a lot of mental trauma right now. Why not listen to her? 3. Why did Sydney think Cecilia hit her? She was basically lying on the ground and the hit came from the side of her head. Sydney would have certainly seen her initiate the strike if that were actually her. The first reaction would have been something like “Ow! Something hit me. Did someone throw something through the window?” not “oh my God, this laying down woman who is my friend that just paid for my entire college education and who has no reason to hit me just hit me! She’s a dangerous maniac!” 4. Multiple times, she had her hands on him. Smashing plates over his head, kicking and punching him. She must have known that he didn’t intend to kill her (because if he did, he would have done it ages ago), so there’s no reason to escape him. You have him on the ropes, you pick up a knife and finish him. But maybe she’s too scared from her past trauma with him. Fine. 5. She saw that paint will reveal him. Why did she not find new ways to reveal him during those multiple times she got her hands on him? Her lack of preparation is staggering. 6. Why did she not use the phone she found in the attic to prove that someone (even if it isn’t Adrian) was spying on her? She couldn’t have faked pictures from over her bed while she was sleeping. At least not without a ton of preparation that cops would not assume she did (like setting up some kind of tripod to take fake stalker photos of herself). That would have been enough proof to at least be taken seriously that someone was stalking her. And that unknown sender with the “surprise” text. Maybe they could have tracked that down somehow? 7. Why did she find the suit and then hide it in HIS house? Why not take it? What was she hiding it for? Of course, this comes back in the final moments of the movie, but the only reason she would put it there is if she was preparing the final scene from that point on which, given her fear, I can’t imagine her thinking that far ahead. That suit was concrete proof that would have immediately enacted around the clock surveillance/protection and an investigation into what’s going on. 8. When she told her sister about the suit and then her sister sees a floating knife behind her, why is the sister’s response complete horror? The sister is a cop, right? So wouldn’t her immediate response be “Cee! There’s a floating knife behind you!” and flip the table and draw her weapon (if she was carrying it) or something? Why would a cop that, in the previous 20 seconds they said was stronger and harder than even James, be struck with fear to the point of inaction? And why did Cecilia just lift her hand and hold the knife after it was used to kill her sister? Her hand was down. And then her sister is killed and she raises her hand and “catches” the knife, almost in the exact place that it had been floating. That doesn’t make any sense at all. 9. As she is being arrested she claims she can “see” him, even though we can clearly see she can’t. She’s staring at where he might be standing, sure. But there’s nothing that would tell her that other than a boiling over of fear and paranoia. There are many other inconsistencies in the movie past that point, like how did Tom hide in her room at the asylum while also being the lawyer at her meeting? Surely she was escorted directly from that meeting back to her cell, so when did he have time to leave the meeting, put the suit on and go back in there? Or maybe that wasn’t Tom in there, but Adrian, in which case I ask, did they find the second suit? Or is there a third suit? How many suits did he make and did he somehow just lose track of the one she hid? Then there’s the question of how he was stabbed with a pen multiple times and still totally fine to restrain her, attack guards etc. Plus the question of how a suit made of cameras doesn’t make any noise when you move (and, more to the point, hides all sounds you make as a relatively large man walking around) and how using pepper spray on it would actually do anything to him, but past inconsistency #9, I had come to a very concrete conclusion: Cecilia is suffering from PTSD and and we were following an unreliable narrator. We were seeing the world through Cecilia’s eyes and seeing the PTSD and hallucinations that come with it. She did send the email. She did hit Sydney. She did not find that phone or anything else in the attic. She did kill her sister and the fights she got into with Adrian were all in her head. She had created some sort of alternate personality or alternate perception of the world that allowed her to do these things without knowing or recognizing she did them, and then fabricating the story of Adrian terrorizing her to back it all up. It could have been a really powerful message about the trauma and psychological side effects of being in an abusive relationship, even after you escape it and the threat is over (as he is dead). But no. They then reveal that it was just a big con job and the brother was in on it with Adrian etc etc. Rather than have a twist, which the bread crumbs were subtly leading to, they revert back to the predictable and safe ending. Now, I’m not one of these people shouting “Oh man, this is a feminist propaganda movie!” I didn’t actually get any political agenda at all from this movie. Maybe they were leading me down the path to intentionally make me start doubting that she was telling the truth and if that’s the case, then they succeeded in that. Although, giving us her perspective and showing us very clearly that she wasn’t doing it would make me doubt that was their intention. Even still ending it with a very wholesome “and we caught the bad guy and she was right all along” is not exactly ground breaking and it did not meet my expectations of a movie with such good reviews. When taken at face value, it was a good suspense thriller of an abusive relationship with the woman taking revenge at the end. But that isn’t new or interesting. Maybe I just expected too much from a mostly typical thriller movie.
1: the most logical conclusion is that he probably faked his death using an already existing body with some of his dna or dental records around for the cops to confirm maybe even doing surgery on the body to make it look like him. 2 good point but the behaviour isn't completely unrealistic all this means is that the sister is a shity person 3 it's the most logical conclusion she was distracted then punched and there's only one other person in the room. 4 explained it yourself, fear ,when attacked the most natural reaction is to flee especially when fighting an opponent you're scared of and seems to have supernatural powers. 5,6,7 actually good points. 8 it's a freaking floating knife how can you expect any reaction besides freezing in fear from an object floating by itself. 9 that's the point of the scene at that point she's overwhelmed from her paranoia. Overall the movie is good because it showcases the tropes of the paranoia of a recently abused victim combined with the downplay from everyone else

I live with my family which probably won’t be the fastest in reaction but at-least they wouldn’t be sheep (at-least my father wouldn’t my mother and sisters are cattle) so ye. Overwhelming force and if I die then shit it was gonna happen either way might as-well go swinging.
Get a giant ass dog that can do some serious damage. Depending on the area, Turkish Kangals are able to be legally owned, and they are vicious. They have the most powerful bite force of any dog breed (743 psi) so it would shred that suit, are used in sheparding and have been known to be able to kill wolves (but they're mostly used for chasing or scaring off predators), have a great sense of smell and would be able sense him, and can be trained well to be a guard dog because of their naturally protective nature. Adrian or his brother try to sneak in, they're getting stomped by 60 kgs of protective rage.

Not coming out for two weeks after escaping abusive relationship is understandable. I seen the show Evil Lives Here that interviewed those that live with evil and some stay hidden for over a month before started coming out into public and even then never let their guard down until they found out that person they are hiding from was arrested. Even then there of course was backlash of living in such conditions that led them into hiding like PTSD and paranoia.

Killing Adrian was absolutely necessary.

Cecelia is literally just too good to live in this situation 😭
Ngl people breath loudly
How to are we not heading him
As a survivor of domestic abuse I say this is spot on how it actually is emotionally.
You sound like a very strong and passionate person, I hope the best for you and your family

@@Tom-en1mu bruh. Would you grab the floating fucking knife in front of you? I'm pretty sure she meant run away my boi

I think she was just too scared to live on her own at this point
Plus her loved ones were targets
It's just like gacha life from ugly to pretty lmao.

So you are correct.
it's almost like the movie was proving a point by doing this, almost like the writers had some narrative undertones with the themes
There's paint on the ground you could easily slip and fall from, and if you're holding the knife there's a serious risk of you accidentally stabbing yourself
if you have a dog, she'll probably buy you some time
wait...
Adrian could even cause your death to seem like an accident with the police believing you fell off the ladder and stabbed yourself with the knife
This is where this guy flaws. I guarantee you if that does happen, he will say he never would've done it because he would've realised that fact.
Considering Adrian killed her sister and set his own brother up to be killed.... yeah I think his death was understandable

A general mistake so many characters make in movies is not taking a moment while they are searching for the antagonist to ask themselves, “What do I do if I find them?”

She was right next to her
@@alwegiesushimi6137 they were a table length away. At least one person would've saw her getup, or sit back down. Yet no one does. Or even see the floating knife that clearly isn't being held by her.

Could the brightness of the screens have counteracted his shadow themselves?
@@grahamcrosbie394 That's what I thought!
That's not correct. If the suit mimics the light that would have gone through the space he was in if he wasn't there from all directions, he would have no shadow.

"Knowing when to quit and establishing a little runfu" truer words have never been spoken
This episode should be fun, considering this movie has some of the most egregious examples of plot forcing things to happen unnaturally/illogically for the sake of drama and tension that I've seen.
I mean her not taking the obvious evidence directly to the police is really all you need to see.
Elaborate. Please. Could you tell me a few examples?
If you don't think Adrian deserved to die, you are out of your mind
ikr? He killed her sister in broad daylight at the restaurant. There's no guarantee he won't eventually do the same to you.
@@matheussandbakk9959
Also people like this never go away, the only real way to confirm that you're safe from them is if they die. In real life most people like this don't have the resources that Adrian does so you technically could get away, but with Adrian, Cecilia had no way out unless he was dead.

She was definitely more clever than most horror movie protagonists.
A plan that relies on her physically overpowering a man who's been tossing her around like a ragdoll the entire movie and who we saw punch through a car window without his suit at the start is not a clever plan. The fact that it worked doesn't change the fact that it was a dumb plan.

I think Cecilia summed it up pretty well; you're just the jellyfish version of him. Everything but the spine.
She’s a dangerous maniac!”
Plus the question of how a suit made of cameras doesn’t make any noise when you move (and, more to the point, hides all sounds you make as a relatively large man walking around) and how using pepper spray on it would actually do anything to him, but past inconsistency #9, I had come to a very concrete conclusion:
Cecilia is suffering from PTSD and and we were following an unreliable narrator.
2 good point but the behaviour isn't completely unrealistic all this means is that the sister is a shity person
3 it's the most logical conclusion she was distracted then punched and there's only one other person in the room.
