Nakhon Si Thammarat is believed to be the place where Buddhism arrived in Thailand during Srivijaya Kingdom brought by Indian/Sri Lanka seafaring merchants. Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan is the most sacred temple here and there is an annual parade to carry long saffron cloth to drape the sacred stupa.

At DMK, they have this place that sells the BEST pastries (2:28 Tokyo Sweets)_...some kind of Japanese AIR pastry....lightest, best tasting thing I've ever had.
