Einfach wunderbar!
The clarity of the line. There was another artist who emphasized that...British multimedia artist William Blake. Perhaps this is why I think of Blake as the beginning of Romanticism and Stravinsky as the end of it.
While John Adams is a conductor, he's primarily a very in demand composer so he spends most of his time writing large orchestral works, operas, concertos, and chamber works. Typrically when he conducts, the program will usually include at least one of his larger scale works. In fact, his Slonimsky's Earbox piece from the mid '09s was inspired by this work and Nicolas Slonimsky's Thesaurus of Scale and Meloidic Patterns.
This is a wonderful piece of music and wonderfully played. I have to say Stravinsky wrote some wonderful music. Thank you so much for uploading this.
Wow!!! How come I didn't know this piece before. Masterpiece!!!
Same. As an orchestra musician I have played a good number of Stravinsky works, yet somehow this one has escaped me till now.
Muy buen sonido, magnífica dirección y orquesta.Gracias por este regalo de cuarentena.
