Here in Asia, McDonald's I think is dominating the fast food industry. Except in the Philippines. McDonalds couldn't topple Jollibee since day one. They serve those western type of food like burgers, fries and chicken. But they kind of twist its ingredients to suit the Filipino taste.

Agreed! And as much as I like McDonalds for their fries and chicken nuggets, I'd go to Jollibee for everything else - the burgers, spaghetti, fried chicken, fillet and the like. Jollibee also serves more Filipino foods like palabok and halo-halo so it would do better in the Philippines than McDonalds would.

Jollibee is well known to do TV ads that's really family oriented..they do good storyline for those commercials.

how can you feel better ,, after seeing Dan !!! nearly in tears, and you're smiling at Dan of His reaction !!! I was laughing so hard,, what a cute comment,,,,,haha still smiling !!! Now we see that although in midst of sadness,, happiness does exist!!!
I didn't smile for his sadness, I smiled for the thought that the commercial got him there, you take my words exaggeratedly, even Dan was smiling about the commercial, You're just one brain taking this to higher meaning and make it came out like I was insensitive, review his reactions, even he, was laughing and smiling doing his reactions, he looks cute with his red nose and that made me smile, I wasn't smiling towards the commercial itself.!

I guess the Valentines' series (which is the first 3 videos - Vow, Crush & Date) wanted to remind us other stories of love. This is somehow to honor those people who are in similar situations on this Valentines' Day!
The "Date" for me also brought tears in my eyes. This is the first time that I cried in a commercial 😢

Well, truly a tearjerker! How about something to cheer you up...have u reacted/seen the Jollidance Showdown? Watch Jollibee give a throwdown on the dance floor when he did an "audition", really funny!!! He made it to the dance contest in 2016 dressed up as MJ and doing his dance routine!!!...search under Jollibee G-Force dance concert...you'll stop grieving for a change!😊
As for your question about Jollibee, it's also a fast food chain so it isn't like THE BEST EVER. haha but Filipinos who leave the PH and come home for visits inhale Jollibee like nothing else. When my sister AND my brother come home from Aus they eat at Jollibee for days haha. They have to eat it on the first day home and right before they leave. They even think about it like, "yesterday I had the burger and the chickenjoy, the other day I had the mushroom burger, and the burger steak, so today I should eat [insert another menu item here]." It's like they're making sure they get to eat everything that they like on the menu because when they leave they won't be able to eat at Jollibee for months. And I laugh at them every time, because it wasn't like they were such HUGE Jollibee patrons before they left the PH, but now they're the stereotypical overseas Filipino who binges whenever they see a store. That's how much of a cultural thing Jollibee becomes once it's gone from the vicinity.

I think it's the nostalgia that Jollibee brings to Filipinos who went to live abroad. Jollibee reminds them of 'home'.

the second one "crush" is actually a happy one because they did get married and have a happy life. The guy says "our grandkids". Outstanding reaction as always! 👍👍👍👍
I didn't know which way to take that. I first thought he meant 'Our Grandkids' as in theirs, in which case the married life would be happy. But with the theme of all these ads, I also thought he might be referring to 'our Grandkids' as in his. Like when you talk to someone else about your house - you might say 'I love our house' even though the person you tell isn't living with you. Maybe we should ask Jollibee about it. Before I could really think too much about it, we moved onto "Date", though in hindsight I would agree with you that they did end up together.

I've seen many non-Filipinos here on youtube who love these Jolibee Valentines Day ad clips & many of them got sad or even cried on those videos but some of it got scratched their head especially on the Vow episode. And it proves that the Filipinos have a great creativity especially on this one. My favorite are Crush & Date episodes and nothing else, and damn! If this Jolibee Valentines Day ads should be a movie then it should be nominated at the Oscars next year (Ha!)
