- In this review of the Alpinestars SP-8 V3 Gloves, we discuss some of the included premium features and whether this is a good all around glove to have for any occasion.
Here's my indepth review for TopSpeed:

Bought them today they sit very nicely feels good.. haven’t looked it up before or something just now looking for reviews 🤣
Have you worn any other gloves from them? I have the SMX-1 gloves and want to upgrade to these. Since it's the same brand, I'd assume that the sizing would roll over, but I'd be ordering online and just wanted to make sure.
@@stevenperez9141 I have worn ixs gloves before and for me it was the same size.. the alpinestars gloves I like but took some time to break in before the would actually become comfortable
Same lol
@@Alex123456789675 I bought the same size as I wore in the Smx-1 mesh gloves. They were really tight at first, but they broke in well. After a couple of days, they were bearable, and now, over a month later, they are perfect. What I’ve seen online is that you can soak them in water and then wear them to stretch them and break them in quicker, and then apply a leather lotion to them. The same size worked for me, though.
Thanks for the video just ordered some
It was a very nice and honest review, that´s very helpful. I was thinking of another pair of gloves, which I´m checking. Thanks.
Anyone looking at these gloves DON'T get the air version. They look the same but they arent. The stretch fabric on the cuff is on the opposite side so is under the leather cuff strap making it not stretch. I'm not sure why they did them differently there because the gloves needs it. The cuff has a small opening and doesn't slide over your jacket easily very easily to bigin with if your jacket arms don't have a velcro strap to synch down the sleeves. My jacket has a zipper down enclosure and i have to push it under the gauntlet to go all the way under it.
is it realy that huge of a problem? Im looking after good loking sports gloves for warm to intermediate temepratures here in germany... so the air version would be a good way after my thought
@@leo0528 I've been trying to break in my air gloves. They still kind of suck compared to the regular, but it's getting better and I'm starting to get used to them more. It's not as comfortable. But if you haven't tried the regular ones then you probably be ok. The regular just has more flexibility at the wrist without bunching.
Good, I was tempted but it doesn’t come in all black
@@Caleb-fv5fp The sp8-air does come in all black or black and white.
Several shops in Germany or holland sell them online
How well do the regulars vent on the fingers?
I've been looking for a good pair of overalls. How about you review those next time?
😂
They just arrived, I sized as large but I have an issue with the length with the middle and index fingers. Which is sad. It feels tight. IDK if I should pick a different brand or just go for XL
I have a winter alpinestars glove with insoluation in a medium. I assumed a medium would fit in these and it was way too small. I tried a large and an XL. The XL was way too loose and the fingers were too long. The Large I still struggle a bit to get my hand into it and it gets a bit easier over time but the fingers feel tight when I make a fist and I hope they will break in and loosen up.
@@trsskaterhey it’s been 5 months, did they loosen up?
@@alessiomira434 they loosened up after a month of riding. The glove feels tight but not too tight to cause any pain. But the palms by the knuckles got loose so they bunch up under your hands a bit when you are on the throttle.
@@trsskater thank you for answering! I recently bought 2 pairs online, a size M and a size L. Size M fits a little tight and size L fits too loose. I’m thinking to keep size M and hopefully they will stretch enough to be more comfortable.
@@alessiomira434 Yeah definitely go with the smaller one. The one that is too loose will only get bigger.
great review thanks 😀
sp-8 v3 or sp air
Can you use them in the rain?
They're perforated for breathability... Not true waterproof.
@@VectorBurnOfficial so your hands might get wet but no damage to glove, im just curious cause i just got mine today.
