With the updated P7 and upcoming G9 Xpeng is stepping up their game to a whole new level. Both cars delivered outstanding results in the large Norwegian range test earlier this week, outperforming competitors far more expensive. If customers gets their G9s as promised Q4, it should be a massive boost to the brands reputation prior to the release of the G6 in Europe sometime next year. Looking forward to seeing how things turns out for Xpeng and other newcomers.
Good review, made me actually interested in this car. Can one get a tail hitch? And what will the max towing capacity be? What will the tounge weight be? Do you know if they have updated with more apps by now? Waze? TH-cam? How does the charge planning work you think? Can one play youtube in it? Also while driving? Hate cars that deciede you cant play while driving.
The software of Xpeng has really involved, so a lot of apps now available..like Netflix, TH-cam, Spotify etc. But worth to know is that the new xpeng p7+ is on the way and built on the new platform. It's a lot better.
@@ItsOnlyElectric OK, sounds good. It seems like a nice car, I am a little hesitant because, well, first, it is Chinese, and secondly they do not have a lot of service points here in Sweden. It seems like the wing model is not available, or they dont have any in stock here in Sweden.
@magnusb6311 tror wingmodellen är mer en gimmick. Den fanns att beställa för ett tag sedan men är nog bäst att köra med performance utan wing. Men värt att göra när P7+ kommer till Sverige. Det är en helt annan bil .
I would prefer standard doors and they should offer an LFP 75kWh battery pack. Wait until you get your hands on a PERFORMANCE BYD SEAL that is LFP. But yes I love the XPENG P7(i) too.
Looks like a very impressive car. Great video! I personally, still think NIO is better. Even the wings, the patent of the speaker in the headrest, and the voice commands. They are definitely welcome additions and make the car very competitive. On the other hand, its performance is not as good as NIO's, the charging is better but not by much, the replacement of the batteries more than makes up for it, with NIO there is a ten-year warranty, where you can be sure that the vehicle will not fall apart five years later. The design of the P7 is certainly impressive. I prefer NIO's design. But I will certainly understand a person who thinks otherwise. Since the prices are so similar, and even if you choose the BASS plan the price is lower... that's why I still think NIO wears the crown.
@@ItsOnlyElectric A larger version of the ET5, the ET5 Touring, is about to be released. The version has much more storage space, maybe even twice as much. Besides, the vehicle is higher so you will also have a lot of headroom. It is also simply longer, so it is even more spacious in all directions. It is more adapted to the terrain. Some people complained that the seat is too high and that it is not comfortable for them, so the seat is lower and more reminiscent of Model Y or Model 3. It will be possible to buy it, and also do test rides on June 15th.
I see a lot of these here in China. they're definitely Model 3 rivals. the P7/P7i starts at just $35k / CNY 250k in China, so the Model S comparison doesn't really make sense. it just so happens so be a bit larger than the Model 3 because pretty much all Chinese EVs are a bit longer than their main western rivals so that they can offer more space in the rear.
It's hard to compare the prices in china with the prices in Europe. Taxes and transportation costs adds a lot to the price. Size wise it's in-between the S and the 3.
oh myyy how pitiful your suffering is, may the world come together and rescue you from the evil depths and darknesss you let yourself fall into. should have stuck with coal chuckin cummins bud and your suffering would be non existent
As a former owner of P7 Performance , I dont recommend anyone this car anymore. Its nice will get attention superbly comfortable, but will give you problems after some months. Know this: Gaspedal is attached with clips its feels a bit loose even new and has no support underneath. As time goes, it will make insane clicking sounds, noise from pedal and it will feel like its wandering several cm in every direction. Solution is, there is no solution sadly, its designed like that. They changed both my pedal, cause brakepedal is bad to, but got the same problem 2 months later with the new pedals...the third time I got my buy cancelled and got all the money back from dealer, no questions. 2 mechanics said to me it was the worst design they had ever seen...stay away or dont , your choice ( still same pedaldesign on new P7 and G9). This is not to talk Xpeng down, cause I really lovede the car..but thats sadly how it ended
Even the top leadership of Xpeng insists of pronouncing the brand "X-PENG" (not "X-PONG" or "Xiaopeng" (prouncounced Chiaopong) internationally). To the company I imagine i'ts a matter of creating a branding that's realistic outside of China. Xiaopeng (with a Chinese pronounciation) is simply too complex and doesn't make sense outside of China. Xpeng wants to sell cars, not the local brand name.
@@orangelobs I guess in order to saving your effort for your incompetence; but ""Xiaopeng" (prouncounced Chiaopong) internationally). " the international part I did not agree, you are quite arrogant.
I'm not sure how you were offended by my comment and how what I said is arrogant. When I state that the company itself uses the pronounciation "x-peng" outside of China my source is videos, news and advertising involving Brian Gu (HVC of the Board and Co-President) and other company representatives. So if Porsche had nothing to do with the development of the P7, why are there pictures of the car being tested and worked on in their Weissach R&D center?
