Excellent work and fine production value. I was most of the way through the video before I noticed the view/sub count. I thought this video was easily on par with modellers like Plasmo or Nightshift.
I’ve just discovered this channel (thanks to the Panzermeister36 Collaboration), and I have to say, you’re already a candidate for one of the best modellers on this platform! I’m planning on grabbing this kit now, it’s very cheap where I am for a full interior kit... though, weirdly, it’s actually cheaper than the version of the same kit *without* an interior.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my videos, and yeah, that price difference is weird. I think that you probably will soon see, however, that there's a good reason its cheaper than something a little highter-quality
Thank`s Scale Studio I `m building my first Tiger 1 Tank & just put those tension rods/bars in however on my instruction sheet there is no diagrams or pictures on what way round they go in , so thank`s for this video.
Great video...just starting this model...yes,the instructions are a bit lacking in detail and with starting have already run into issues with fittings....so,you do the inside turret and lower hull in putty/thin cement mixture..do you also do the suspension area or leave that?..have you put out the second video yet?...glad I came across this site just in time...thanks
I actually am finished with that model at the moment, so you should be able to roll through the whole series! I don't do the suspension areas, just because it ends up getting covered in mud anyways!
Mad Lad can’t believe you textured the inside steel of the tank. Unfortunately none of the problems from the Original 1996 Academy kit has been fixed in this “new” Airfix kit. You bought back memories of having to skip a few steps forward or even check the box art to see where some internal components go..., p.s. you were right about the tool kit, the two batteries are on the hull floor either side of the crank shaft by the rotating turret basket mechanism
Got it, yeah, I saw those. This kit really hasn’t endeared me to the tiger I. It was definitely a good experience, and I’m hoping to do more details and stuff on my next project
Yep! And you can definitely tell. I has old academy quality. Bad fit, bad detail, and bad shapes. But you know, for the price it might be worth it. Unless you know about the RFM kit lol
Well what i did learn about this video is this tiger kit is horrible..I stick will to RFM and Takom Airfix could of done so much better. But awesome video hope to see more thumbs up 👍
@@TheScaleEngineer It was a good kit for its day but is showing it 30yr age now... And until recent years I would certainly not consider Airfix to be quality but they have upped their game alot in the last 10 years...
@@TheScaleEngineer correct bro like I said it's showing its 30yr age... Keep up the great videos, really good content so far.... I will be starting a YT channel in the near future... Look forward to maybe doing a colab with you 👍👍
@@TheScaleEngineer would you ever think about doing a painting guide for something like tiger 007 (I'm looking into doing a death of Michael wittmann diorama but I cant find the paint schemes for it/what paints I'd use)
Yeah the kit has pretty average detail, but it's a 90's tooling for an incredibly cheap price, so I think with a little work this is one hell of a deal
I have assembled Tiger I in various scales by different companies, and found this Airfix kit has so much details than the rest. Thumbs up!!
Thank you very much.
For a noob like me. God sent.

Really informative with some useful warnings and tips for the build.
Nice video, good narration, nice and clear.
Jason👍
Thanks!
I brought this kit so I can follow your build.
Awesome! Be warned, it’s not exactly an easy build, and not because it’s complex.
Amazing video! Keep up the good work.

I know I am pretty off topic but do anybody know a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Edwin Immanuel flixportal :P
@Warren Jefferson Thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it!!
@Edwin Immanuel Happy to help :D
Amazing video!
Thanks!

I just found this channel. Awesome detail. I am looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks! Welcome aboard!
Great video my friend looks amazing very well detailed thanks for sharing and stay safe 👍👍
Thanks my dude! Glad you liked it!

50. Good to know someone cares.
Great video !!!! What color do you plan on painting the interior
Ivory
Scale Studio
Your own mix for ivory ? And what paint
Its Vallejo model master ivory
Love your details will you post a vid on track link build?
Ive ordered this kit.
I’m working on that, should come out soon!
Wish someone would do the same full Tiger 1 full interior but 1/16
That would be a massive kit!

Frankly this kit is a way better depiction of a Tiger I than Academy's depiction of their M18 hellcat.
This is old Academy repack :)

Thanks! and yeah, it was a bit of a disappointment for me as well.
Recon models Vaughn I'm pretty sure this is an Academy kit just rebranded for airfix
22:47 right side of the screen, what's that bug moving lmao
No idea, didn’t even notice it, just looks like a peice of sawdust
@@TheScaleEngineer lol, you did a great work btw, this model is looking awesome!!!
Thanks!
Parts looks very close, almost same as a copy to the Academy kit.
It is the academy kit, just reboxed so you expect airfix quality and don’t get it

@@nigelsmith7366 I agree Nigel! But there are several new kits that are worlds above this one, namely rye field’s tigers

found somr enfine layouts on line, I think there 1/16 th scale
My kit doesn’t have enough track parts, maybe I’m doing something wrong?
I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't
What is the liquid cement actually used for? Is it like glue or something else?
Tankman045 it melts the plastic in the join of the parts, and when it dries it fuses the parts permanently together
@@TheScaleEngineer would you ever think about doing a painting guide for something like tiger 007 (I'm looking into doing a death of Michael wittmann diorama but I cant find the paint schemes for it/what paints I'd use)
Tankman045 you mean painting a specific tank?
@@TheScaleEngineer kinda. More tiger late production colours than a specific one
Tankman045 ah, cool! I think that I’m going to wait a couple seasons before I release another tiger. I’m definitely going to get a better kit as well!
Yeah the kit has pretty average detail, but it's a 90's tooling for an incredibly cheap price, so I think with a little work this is one hell of a deal
Better than the tamiya tiger 1/35 no interior detail at all
