The other songs on the album will be completely different than this one both said. Away from Ayreon and Epica sound. More experimental, a bit of Rammstein as well. She will also sing a song in German and one in Dutch! I'm looking forward to the album.

Love the progressive/genre-hopping aspect, and of course Simone is stunning vocally and visually. Arjen’s writing is very obvious (this feels like it could have been an Ayreon song from the Transitus era), but I am also really curious to see what the rest of the album will be like.

As fun and complex as the song is, I was a little surprised that somehow there was too little Simone in Simone's first solo song for me. I feel like the choir (albeit amazing) singing both the chorus and the epic breakdown at the end didn't really give her amazing voice a chance to truly shine. Still, I'm very much looking forward the rest of the album! Edit: It turns out Simone IS the choir, confirmed by Arjen himself, who answered my comment under the original video 😅

Perhaps someday you will appreciate Epica and regret that you were previously biased towards them after hearing only a few songs. Their discography is absolutely gorgeous. Simone's song is definitely not better than their discography. maybe you don't like that Epica is quite heavy
She's spent twenty years building a career with Epica, based on talent. If she wants to wear a dress like that because she still looks that good at 39, she's earned it, her talent is well established.

Yes,me too.As the say,all songs are different,Simone sings in German in one song and,for the first time,in Dutch.So,sounds very interesting.

10 x better than Epica. If you had no idea who it was you could easily mistake it for Nightwish. Could so easily be Marko on the guitar.
