I like how someone put a string of "pearls" around her gravestone. She wore them a lot on the show.
Ohh! I just noticed that! 🥰
I loved watching the Andy Griffith show. She was a great actress. Rest in peace Frances "Aunt Bee.
Love Auntie Bea. She was so adorable in that part. Still watch that show yet. Thanks Dear Lamont. Love your peaceful voice. Bless you always. ❤️👵🏻📺
@@cindys3468 Ok Aunt. I just put it that way.
@@cindys3468 Yes your right lol 👍😀
He use the south way. Now I remember. I’m a oldie too. 👍
Hi, Linda, I grew up watching the Andy Griffith show in the 70s,a great show, may frances Bavier RIP 💐 and a great night to you
From one crazy cat lady to another, Rest In Peace, Aunt Bee! Thanks for showing her grave!
I've been watching The Andy Griffith show on Amazon prime I wasn't alive in the 60's I'm a 90's baby but I love the show
Yes the show is timeless.each new generation discovers and is warmed by the andy Griffith show.
One of my favorite shows! There was an episode with pickles. It’s hilarious! Aunt Bea makes pickles to enter into county fair but she wasn’t a good pickle maker. Andy and Barney called them kerosene pickles 😂🤣😂. Great show!
I loved Aunt Bee! Her character reminded me of my own great grandmother. The pickles are from an episode where her and a neighbor lady were entering a contest at the fair for best pickles. Aunt Bee's were sooo salty that no one could stand to eat them and the race was on to get rid of all those jars of rotten pickles before the fair. Funny show!
They tasted like Kerosene.
Those kerosene cucumbers

Awesome, I live very close to this Cemetery. My sister who passed in 1991, used to care for Frances. So did my niece until Frances passed away.
"Maybe I should've looked it up before I started filming... maybe I just didn't feel like it!" I freaking love your matter of fact attitude. Love your channel Lamont ❤
My goodness if that was aunt Bee at 87 years young in the picture you showed of her. I would of never knew it was her. She changed as she got really older. I know we all will but that didn’t even look like her. Wow. Cool video Lamont! Why it was fascinating I might say. lol. Thanks
She was one of my favorites.May she rest in peace.Never forgotten.
We have been to Siler City, NC. On the show, whenever she went to visit family, she would say she was going to Siler City. The story goes that Andy and Ron Howard went out to her house to visit her after the show ended. She would not let them in. Her house was recently on the market; it had been completely renovated.
Andy also died in NC, near the Outer Banks. He was buried I believe the same day. If you go to Mount Airy, NC, it’s like going to Mayberry. Mount Airy is where Andy was born. They have a wonderful museum there about the show. You can tour the city in a police car like on the show. They even have Opie’s candy store.
I thought I read somewhere that Aunt Bee finally called Andy to apologize for her bad behavior and they made up befor she past away?
@@kimberly9129 yes she did call to apologize to him for being so difficult before she died.
One of my favorite shows growing up!
Wow RIP Beautiful Angel 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 Sad Story Poor Aunt Bee's 😞😞😞 Good Actor God Bless Her Always 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 From Edinburg Texas
The Andy Griffith show is timeless, but it really went downhill after the scene stealing Don Knotts left.
Yup
right it wasn't the same even when the show switched to color
I love your videos Lamont. You do these people in a respectable way
I just subscribed to this channel
@@Karl671 hes a very respectful TH-camr. You'll enjoy his videos 🖤
Eve Arden was a great actress of the time, movies, TV and Broadway. Come On man you should know! For penitence show us Eve Arden's grave, BUT thanks for taking us to see Aunt Bee, enjoyed !
Yes he should know eve arden.
Thank you so much for doing this! I live in Fayetteville NC about an hour drive south of Siler City NC. I've always been a fan of the Andy Griffith show. I knew that Aunt Bee was burried in Siler City, and this video makes it all worth while to be able to see her final resting place. RIP Aunt Bee!!
I loved Aunt Bee and grow up watching the show.
She was the best Aunt in my opinion I love watching the Andy Griffith show
Everybody loves Aunt Bee for sure. The show just always made you relax and feel like home with the entire cast. Glad to see flowers and pennies from Heaven. Be Blessed. 💘
🙂
Oh wow I’m watching the Andy Griffith show again. I love all the characters. 👍🏻
RFD stood for Rural Farm District. Yes, Frances Bavier was difficult to work with and in contrast to their on-screen chemistry, she and Andy Griffith did not get along when the cameras weren't rolling! She called Andy Griffith not long before her death to reconcile. In the early 1950's she also played the mother of Jerry Lewis in the classic Lewis & Martin film "The Stooge." Also contrary to her wholesome image as Aunt Bee, IRL Bavier was a chain smoker, which undoubtedly contributed to her declining health in her later years. In the 1986 Andy Griffith Show reunion movie "Return to Mayberry" that you referenced, Bavier was not healthy enough to reprise her role as you mentioned, besides being retired from acting, so it was written into the movie that Aunt Bee had passed away, there is a scene in which Andy visits her grave.
Rural Free Delivery. To deliver mail directly to farm famiiles.
@@auaiao9 yes Rural Free Delivery !

Bah Vee Ay.. very under rated actress.. thanks for sharing Lamont. Everyone needs an Aunt Bea in their life. ❤️
Loved her. RIP Aunt Bee. Thanks as always Lamont.
Love Aunt B so much. Can't help but remember her as I grew up. I was missing many family figurers but this show & aunt B made me feel like home. I still often start an Andy Griffith show to fall asleep. I've seen every show atleast 300 times.
When my daughter was young she kept wanting me to teach her to whistle. I soon found out why. She wanted to whistle the opening theme. She drove us crazy with it.😁👍☮️
HILARIOUS!!!
Aunt Bee....she was amazing....the show was a major hit and still a classic....great Tribute Lamont, as always. 🥰💜🙏
Thank you for posting Aunt Bee, this is your calling and you do a great job from the way you relay the stories and the empathy you show. May the Lord Jesus Bless and Protect you on your journeys to the different gravesites. Your are amazing. ❤
Thank you for taking us along.
Eve Arden was a sarcastic wisecracking actress. She did a number of comedy movies with the Marx Brothers etc. You might remember her as the principal in the Grease movies. I loved watching her cause her lines were at times hilarious.
Yep. Forgot about Grease. She was also the nurse in Bewitched when Samantha had Tabitha.
In the 1950's, she starred on the TV show, "Our Miss Brooks", with Gale Gordon & Richard Crenna. She was a supporting actress in the movie "Mildred Pierce" which starred Joan Crawford in her only Oscar winning role. Butterfly Mcqueen was also in it & was in "Gone with the Wind" as Prissy.
Loved her! I would watch the show every day! 😊😊😊
Eve Arden was an excellent actress and her shows fun to watch.
Yes eve arden was a comic genius.
How wonderful was this woman loving and kind and I loved the people that were in the show with her too. Thank you for the video I really did love her personality she was so strong and lovely.
Thank Lamont for this video, This was one of my favorite shows growing up!
hey lamont!❤ thank you for remembering Frances Bavier rip!!! Aunt Bee!!!!❤❤❤ love to you lamont!! ✌out!!!
Seeing the jars of pickles makes me happy. Such an iconic episode and an unforgettable character
The writing on top of the pickle jar says “here’s your kerosene cucumbers” and I couldn’t read the rest 😊
The pickle episode taught me to just be honest!! If they can’t handle honest criticism? That’s their problem. Loved her and the show. Another great vid!
Yes Lamont, The Andy Griffith show was Great with Aunt Bee! R.I.P. Francis!
I still watch Andy Griffith every day..thanks for the video Lamont..I enjoy watching all your videos on all channels.
Hey Lamont 👋 we miss you! Thank you for all this logs! You are a star!
I absolutely positively love the Andy Griffin show . I still watch the returns of the Andy Griffin show today. I loved Aunt Bee she was an amazing actress! May she rest in Peace! Rip
Awww! Loved you " aunt Bee" RIP beautiful lady. How funny we share the same birthday only mine is December 14,1956 and we share a love of cats and I too am a crazy cat lady and do cat rescue and TNR. Andy Griffith was my favorite show as a child and I still watch the reruns ❤
That's beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
My Grandma loved the show..Thanks Lamont, definitely an interesting gravesite..🙏💯
LOL, The Whistling of the theme song made this video better by kicking it off like that!
I remember her and enjoyed her appearances, but didn't watch the show that much. I DO remember Eve Arden. She was the real deal, an honest to Pete big time Hollywood movie actress, and had roles with the best of them. In later years, when TV became a thing, she was Connie Brooks on Our Miss Brooks, a very popular show. Jeff Chandler was her love interest on that show. He was a HUNK!
I almost lost it when he said he was going to try one of the pickles 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 hilarious
Rip Aunt Bee ❤️🙏
Great job she was everyone's momma used to watch the show all the time loved her dearly rip auntie momma Bea we love and miss u always ❤ 💗 💖 💓 ♥ 💕
Wow Lamont wish I would have known you were here today! Would love to have met you and could have showed you the house she lived in! Welcome to my town! Siler city NC!
I love that show there needs to be more shows like that
I couldn't agree more, but the back then the show represented how times were in reality, today the way times are, it would only represent a fairytale.
Beautiful Stone. ❤️🤍
I remember the Eve Arden show; it was a comedy if my memory serves me correctly. Thanks Lamont for this exposé on Frances Bavier.
Yes the eve arden show ran for one season in the late 1950s.i own 72 episodes of the TV series it's a great life on dvd.
Thanks lamont for another interesting video thanks for sharing take care my friend ❤ 😊
I love Auntie Bea, and I love the Andy Griffith Show! ❤️
Andy could be hard to work with also, he had a temper. There's a couple of episodes where his hand was bandaged up from where he got mad and punched a wall. The Mt. Olive pickle plant is just up the road from me. Best pickles ever!
Yes andy Griffith wasn't the good Ol boy offscreen either.
Had a feeling you was going to stroll through my neck of the woods and visit Aunt Bee.. I left her a jar of pickles a while back
Rip legend God bless your soul
Mt. Olive pickles are made in NC. I live in southern VA and have been eating them all my life. How appropriate. They are really good and do not taste like poor Aunt Bea’s. I think she ended up in Siler City because so much of the show was filmed in the area. I don’t think you said that but still fun video. Watch it all the time. ❤️
The show was filmed in Hollywood....
Good Morning Lamont!
She was such a beautiful woman. I Loved that show. And I always thought she had a very amazing voice. I admired her beauty. I honestly wish that show would of continued? What a beautiful place where she was late to rest.
I laughed when you said she loved cats.
So Do I must I say. I only have 2 now. But they are spoiled...
Thanks for the awesome job you continue in doing and we also get to enjoy all the location with you.
Have a great weekend and please stay safe.
Americas’ grandmother. Certainly saw her as one how could be mine when I watched her on television. RIP my dear.
I loved "Our Miss Brooks". It was a great show in re-runs for years in 60's.
Hi lamont thank you for sharing this with us I have a seen a few videos of the Andy Griffiths show stay safe and safe travels Lamont
Aww I loved Aunt Bee and the Andy Griffith show as a whole.
You are the best storyteller Lamont
One of my favorite shows. I watched it over and over on Netflix. I've seen every episode several times. I actually canceled Netflix when they dropped it. Such beautiful actresses. Elinor Donahue will always be my favorite.
My all time favorite show. Watch it every night.
I love watching Andy Griffin Show RIP 🙏
She loved 🐈, and for that reason alone, I love her. She had a pure, good ❤
I didn't even know Camo Dave was dead. I guess that is a place to visit the next time in New Jersey.
Crazy. I just discovered that today.
Eve Arden also did a sitcom ,Our Miss Brooks on the radio and later on tv around 1951 -2 With Gale Gordon and Richard Crenna.
Aunt. B!!! "ANDY!!!" Loved that show!!
Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 yeah the dark green ones are good... those other pickles are done!
Thanks for posting this video, Lamont. The Pickle story is one of my favorite episodes too but always enjoyed when Aunt Bee would bring lunch to Andy and Barney at the jailhouse and they would fuss over how good she prepared everything for them and then their faces drop when they see the pickles in the mix. Also enjoyed the way she took care of Opie. Don Knotts added so much comedy to that show too. I wish he would have stayed longer on the show. RIP Frances Bavier. ❤🙏🌟🌹💎
My mom loved The Andy Griffith show. She would watch every day and we recorded some for her so she could always watch it.
Loved her .. Aunt Bea . Thanks for the story .
I watched this show with my dad as a kid. Best times.
Nice to see Aunt Bee Rest easy Angel 🕊️ beautiful ❤️ Amen 🙏
When on "The Andy Griffith Show",she wasn't too fond of Andy and gave him a hard time. A few months before she died, someone who used to work on the show told Andy that she wanted to talk to him on the phone. She apologized to Andy for the two of them not getting along better. And,when she died,no other cast members went to her funeral.
Loved these reruns when I was a young wippersnapper my Uncle 🙏🏿
I read she was hard to work with & complained all the time. She was good at being Aunt Bee. Thanks Lamont, Love Ya~~~~Sherry
She got really depressed n lived with her beloved cats. She wanted NOTHING to do anymore with tv, movies ect. Ain't Bee's pickles.....funniest episode of Andy Griffith 😊 rest in God's good love dear lady 🙏😇
She was very reclusive, a family would bring her groceries and fan mail. She mentioned that she hated she couldn’t be Aunt Bea for fans she thought they were a little saddened upon meeting her in town. Great video!
Welcome to N.C. Lamont. I'm closer to the coast about 30 miles from Wilmington. I've been through Siler City.
RIP Frances Elizabeth Bavier (December 14, 1902 - December 6, 1989) (aged 86) you will truly be missed and I enjoy watching you in The Andy Griffith Show.
I used to watch “The Andy Griffith Show” with my Grandpa when I was young in the 1990’s. I tried to whistle along with the theme song but never got it. RIP
Eve Arden was a well known actress back in her time and The Mother In Law series was popular.
The eve arden show lasted one season in the late 1950s.frances bavier was on another TV series it's a great life.i own 72 episodes of that show on dvd.
Thanks for the content Lamont. Love u
Now I have to look up the Eve Arden Show. From what I looked up the Eve Arden show ran from 1957-1958 and Francis Beaver's character was the mom of Eve Arden. Eve was a widow raising twin daughters.
Frances Bavier was a great actress on the Andy Griffith show, I grew up watching in the 70sMay Frances Bavier,RIP💐

Welcome to NC...and RFD stood for Rural Free Delivery, very common in the South back in the day
Beautiful headstone. She was so funny on the show.
Broke a brand new jar of Pickles a couple days ago, but don't think I would want to replace it with those light brown ones, lol! Great work as usual, Lamont!!
I love and still watch the reruns
