Thanks a bunch, your settings fixed my issue. I remember this game looking fine on the Xbox One, but with my Series X, the default setting made the game too dark. Now I can actually see what the heck I’m doing. Lol.
@@my3rs307 I have it in RE 2 and RE 3 like 4 right (5 is okay too but not more), 4(5) left and then the 3rd option 3 to the right and in Village too. Resi 7 I have at default (middle) and in Resi 4 Remake I have SRGB, 5 right, 5 left and the 3rd option in the middle and it's perfect. It's the only Re Engine game where I can leave the 3rd option then in the middle. Try it if you play in SDR. Edit: You play on a TN panel? There it's different. It is usually not too bright when you follow intructions because of the 3rd option. It's usually too dark overall with missing details.
I finally got my PS5 yesterday! It’s really cool but I’ve seen some problems with that spider man remastered when the ps5 is on HDR it looks really good but when I turned hdr off from the ps5 when I go back the white and the sun and sky we’re super bright and overblown and could not see the details in the whites anymore? Can someone help with this?!
So just set max brightness to full right, min brightness to full left and brightness to full right. Go it. Could have been a 10 second video, though. But appreciate the effort. It's kinda the same for RE remake games. Going full left and right does the trick.
u must have something INCORRECTLY set up... in the Xbox settings, or the LG... watch vincents video from HDTVtest channel calibrating the cx and xbox for gaming, and repeat reident evil test
@@GamingTech-TH-cam If you are using RGB Full and Black Level High/Auto that might be the issue I know some games even to this day can look incorrect. I've switched to using Limited/Low for all my consoles and even on PC as the CX is designed for video level range and I haven't had any issues.
When I go from inside a house to ouside, the game gets darker e the colors washed out. If I return to the house and look outside from the door, the brightness and colors looks great again. Anyone knows how to solve this issue?
For console gaming and movies you must have your settings to limited (or auto) on both your source and tv. The should give you the correct black level. If you’re not sure, you can select YCbCr which has the same levels as RGB limited. Full range is common on a pc.
Even at max brightness, i find my self squinting at this game. It's abysmally dark, and the down facing flashlight doesn't help at all. Absolute bullshit.
It has. The Remakes have this and Village but think it's broken or doesn't fit If you follow the instructions in village. In Remake 2 and 3 I think it is best with with +5, -5, +3. In Village it is different. He plays on OLED but If you follow the instructions it also is too contrasty and dark in Village with missing details on a LCD. The console version doens't have color option like sRGB or rec.709 and maybe Village ist in rec.709 colors on console version.
Thanks for this video, instantly made a huge difference in the experience of the game.
Massive difference, thanks man. Looks great now.

Omggg thank you soooooooo much for this video... thanks :) :)
thank you very much for the video, it helped!🙂
Yeah, it's broken in Village in SDR. If you follow the instructions it is way too contrasty and dark with missing details on a LCD screen.
If you follow the instructions, it's too bright

Your sdr settings is limited or full range ?
