Wow, I’m Irish and Female, I didn’t know I was oppressed.

My mum was Irish and oppressed. She was the smartest one out of all of us. She never wallowed in self pity, though she could have done. Grew up poor, really poor. Father was gassed and died of TB, two sisters died of TB, Bombed in WW2, and survived a usually fatal form of TB herself. But became a teacher..

Peterson does a phenomenal job articulating well-reasoned opinions on topics within his domain. Sometimes, he’s out of his realm, though.
Unfortunately, he tends to dominate conversations, and Dr. Sowell is now well into his 90’s, so I’d rather it didn’t happen. It’d be like a younger Gary Moore overplaying tons of notes on guitar, overwhelming an exquisite but elder BB King.
Twenty yrs ago, Thomas Sowell was without peer. His books are filled with Sage Wisdom. Time for him to rest and enjoy.

Collaboration, encouragement, kindness, support and being genuinely happy when others are also happy is the biggest life lesson you can learn as a person and as a community.
This allows stories like mine, where a young guy from one the UKs most deprived areas, son of a postman father and a factory worker mother ended up with a PhD in software engineering and a 30-year career as an IT consultant via my own software company. I could not have done any of this without the unflinching support of family and friends.
The deprived left-wing areas of the UK are no different than the religious affluent right-wing areas of the US/Canada. Everyone has faith in some way, some to God, some to community, some to moral values but it is very similar.
And at heart they are all good people, the fact you do these podcasts, yes, I know it’s a business but you and most of your guests have genuine empathy. Just like the people of my community
    Thanks for sharing.

Isn't intersectionality simply a word to describe that some people are in deeper shit than others due to an accumulation of contributing factors? Like when you are in a house and you are sick, when the walls come down due to an earthquake, it might be more difficult for you to survive than an athlete down in the street.

Black. Women. Should be at the *bottom* of that triangle. This is a conservative forum so I believe it's a bit unintentionally biased though I know you mean well. But black women should be even above gays. Because I'm the eyes of others we have to: strive to be more modest-still get over sexualized. I had a person tell me that since I didn't have a dad (I had a wonderful step dad) and wasn't rich I'd be considered easy and trash. Ppl tend to think that there's no scientific reason that black girls start their period early without even considering in their arguments that nutritious factor that could be in play which would be a good thing to do if you're being objective in your argument. We are pretty? Well spoken? We get plucked for the highest bidder and poisoned into a corner only to be slandered and accosted by the very ppl who wanted to own us in the first place. Socio economically we are more likely to come from a background where there not a headstart financially therefore less time spent with parents which makes significant difference in intelligence and grades in school. There IS a mental barrier that we have as you g girls thinking or feeling that somehow were not as good as the others around us which takes a toll on our self fulfilling prophecy. There are many other factors that go into play but to say that because ones color they're less intelligent is really effed up and so many people believe it this perpetuating the knowing in air about us. We get less care in the medical field therefore more likely to not have our needs met or the right test run. I'm a little different because I do get treated well because I think I'm a celebrity but even then, I'm being scientifically tested left and right, lied to used, EXPLOITED, and misled so badly that it's almost impossible to escape. We're like Medusa in that we're harmed for our beauty and Lord forbid we fight back because we'll be labeled angry or hostile when by nature we're the most nurturing and generous people out there. I don't like to subscribe to the idea that it's white ppls fault for our plight that's why I defended a wonderful access Drew Barrymore when she was being grilled by a black interviewer unjustly. I also air on the side of nurture vs nature so socioeconomic factors again come into play. Halle Berry did award winning jobs on so many films before she won an Oscar for a film in which she slept in detail with a white men. Whether people know or it's subconscious we are looked at as lesser and that's very disadvantageous to us overall. Sorry my response is all over the place. I've been verse in those race studies and I think they're false and outdated and to keep telling them is wrong for obvious reasons. Digress much?

This gets so tiring. Why is that you all still go about talking about this stuff as if it’s an organic movement that sprang up from this or that intellectual when we have a goddamn Declaration of Interdependence from the Collegium International which was tasked with creating a doctrine of global governance? Why is that you all can’t take five minutes to read the Declaration of Interdependence and see that it had five goddamn action items in it? What is so hard about understanding:
    a. Invent democracy on a global scale
    b. Identify and protect world public assets
    c. Construct the conditions and indicators of sustainable development
    d. Build a universalism of values
    e. Guarantee economic and social rights
What is so hard about understanding the specialities of each of the signatories of that declaration in areas of Information Theory (Edgar Morin), Interdependence (Benjamin Barber), Critical Theory (Jurgen Habermas), Thought Reform (Robert Lifton), Asymmetry in Markets (Joseph Stiglitz), Politics (Michel Rocard), Power Maneuvering (Milan Kucan) and others? Why is this so goddamn torturous to get any freaking person to acknowledge a group that literally wrote about gaining soft power and have ties with the Club of Rome, Open Society Institute/Foundation, the Clinton Global Initiative (gee, I wonder what the global Initiative is?) the Obama administration (Michael Doyle was Obama’s foreign policy advisor) and others?
I’m seriously perplexed why none of you have the courage to go seek out documents and timelines from the Collegium International (abbreviated CI like the Communist International - Comintern).

    • @lovelearnandgrow2853
      @lovelearnandgrow2853 ปีที่แล้ว

@Jonath Liles Because in Historic terms it is a Very New Movement in Humanity. As you state in the Declaration of Independence for the USA.. When is it ALL men were created Equal for this Country? The 13th amendment didn't come until 1865.. while Britain started this movement in 1807. But when did others begin to have a RIGHT to vote? It was in August 6, 1965, by President Lyndon Johnson. It outlawed the discriminatory voting practices adopted in many southern states after the Civil War. Or for women? So yes this is new for many people esp older people who were born before this. The THING I see though... is there will have to be a GREAT DEAL of Forgiveness for us to march ahead... if the PAST continues to be an issue then this MOVEMENT will fail. Sort of like if a Men or women cheats on their spouse... if there is an apology and forgiveness then there will have to be given a BLANK SLATE where the others doesn't keep bringing it up with HATRED. In my opinion this is why the Native Americas are still in poverty and despair.. they continue to see themselves SEPARATE Group of PEOPLE from the Nation.. just like if the BLM grows.. it will place themselves deeper into isolation which is not the way to successfully move ahead.

Okay I didn't take I to consideration the disabled. But they are oppressed by their mental and/or physical limitations. When looking at it from the scope or societal oppressiveness I maintain black woman. There's an example of: Reba's famous "Fancy" where a mother turns her daughter into solicitation (and a favorite song I'm not attacking her by any means) was well received and still is a great song. But when Beyonce made a song with herself in the back of a car with HER HUSBAND and had a lyric I've been drinking watermelon the conservative hell hounds BLASTED her for it saying she was a bad influence to young girls for singing about her husband and having him in the video. It's a mindset and it's biased. I really do appreciate your talks and I'm not trying to be contrary here. I'm just trying to give my point of view. Again, in I'm playing devil's advocate in my own life example because ppl for try to reach out and help me in my plight but because of my owners that help falls on deaf ears or never reaches me all together. But I'm an exception. I do believe that you have a lot of value to offer intellectually and I have so much to learn. But when I hear dog whistle phrases like "left/liberal extremist" it feels misleading.
