    I drove 2013 Haval H6 with 1.5T and 6MT(one generation earlier) in China for 4 years when I had international assignment there. It was very reliable and I had zero problem in all my 85Km. It is the one of the best cars I ever drove. I had 1981 Honda Civic 1500 CVCC 5MT, 2000 Saturn 2000 SL 5MT and currently have 2006 BMW E90 and 2016 Toyota Rav4

    A big step finally taken by the Chinese. It is reliable, affordable, fuel efficient and most importantly, powerful than its rivals too (which other Chinese cars lack). Haval has just pumped this SUV by giving it probably everything one would demand for but the question is about the perception which a potential buyer will have about it. Hearing the word 'CHINESE', there might be many buyers who would be interested in the car but would end up walking out from the show room without signing the deal. If the value of such cars is anticipated to go higher in the future, then all their struggle to establish themselves as a brand in the UAE is worth as I personally feel when it comes to aggressive pricing and loading the car with oodles of features and luxury, nobody can do it better than the Chinese. Hope this model proves to change their destiny for good in the UAE. It is surely a well crafted package with one odd I would say.
    What is your opinion about this and would you prefer this car over Honda CRV, Hyundai Tucson and VW Tiguan?

      There is nothing inherently wrong with the Upper echelon MIC cars like Geely/Haval/Wuling.
      However, the Traditional weakness of Chinese car imports (with its weakest link being Parts availability/dealership) still applies.

    Hey, very nice review, I am from Peru and have seen your videos many times. I have some questions, in terms of service, does Haval responds ok? Do you think this car would present any failures in a long time? Also, could it come with Android Auto? Would you recommed this in front of the Tucson? Sorry for so many questions, saludos desde Peru amigo.

    • @zarantarapore935

      Esta version que manejamos del Haval H6 no venia con Andriod Auto. De todas maneras, estamos seguros que en las proximas actualizaciones lo van a introducir.
      A nuestro entender el Haval H6 es mejor que sus competidores (Tucson incluido). De todas maneras no pierdas la oportunidad de visitar el showroom y hacer el Test Drive. Yo creo que vale mucho la pena manejarlo.

      Gracias por seguirnos! Un fuerte abrazo!

    • @zarantarapore935
      @zarantarapore935 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Fred,
      Haval is a relatively new brand in the market but let's not forget that they are a part of the Swaidan Trading Group who deal with brands such as Peugeot and a few more in the UAE. Taking that into account, it is safe to assume that their after-sales service would have to match industry standards.
      Whether or not Haval and other Chinese automobiles will age well, is something we will all need to see with due time, but the fact that they are offering a significant upfront cash saving, will be enough for most to overlook its shortcomings in the long run.
      Currently and the model we drove didn't come equipped with Android Auto, but we're sure this is something small that they will add in upcoming models or with a simple system update.
      Whether we would recommend the Haval H6 instead of a Tucson is a good question, but yes as we've shown in the video it really is a good car and we would recommend it over the Tucson.
      We would definitely urge you to visit the showroom and do a test drive, because only after that will you appreciate how much the fully-loaded H6 is offering you for far, far less money than its rivals (the Tucson included).

      Hey Xeniosaias,
      You are absolutely correct. Chinese cars have come a long, long way from where they were and will eventually reach a point of market domination. We saw the same cycle with the Koreans a decade ago and now we're seeing it with the Chinese. Reliability will need to be seen in the long run, but let's not forget that you're paying nearly half of what you would have for its competitors so a few compromises should be expected.

It's got the looks, the power, the interior comfort, the necessary safety features, etc. However, three things that may not cross your mind spoiled it for me. It's throttle modulation was very uncomfortable, it's handling and stability deteriorated sharply above 120 kph, and the headlights night coverage was inadequate despite the upscale hardware.

    • @YallaMotorEnglish
      @YallaMotorEnglish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Yasser,
      The price is a little high because 86K at the end of the day is not a small amount of money, but keep in mind that the Haval is more affordable than all its rivals.
      Have you had the opportunity to test drive one yet? We'd love to hear your thoughts.

      Hi Masoud,
      Although Haval is relatively new to the UAE and to the Middle East, they have been selling cars in countries like China and Australia for several years now and people seem to have no problems or issues with them - you can see this by just reading the comments on this video.
      Chinese cars have really improved in the past 3-5 years and will continue to do so.

    Will they stand the test of time when its got 150k kms on the clock and 5 years old? Unlike hondas and toyotas... i highly doubt it. Things will start failing after 2 years and itll be a burden in countries where support network is limited.

    • @zarantarapore935
      @zarantarapore935 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Frank,
      Good point indeed.
      The reliability of Chinese automobiles will need to be seen as they age, but let's not forget their proposition.
      Currently, Chinese automobiles aren't promising years and years of faultless mobility - sure, they may provide that but they're banking on significantly lower prices and a bunch of tech.
      Many individuals would be lured with the significantly lower prices and would be willing to trade decades of effortless motoring for this upfront financial saving.

      I have owned BMW, Mercedes, Ford, all have been unreliable. All new cars are built to a price, manufacturing techniques very similar, shared engines & platforms. This is 2019, not 2000, most car manufacturers offer similar qua;ity products, surprisingly China as well.

      In terms of features and quality it truly is. The RAV4 is overpriced (like all other Toyotas) for what it brings to the table, especially if you compare it to newer Chinese and Korean rivals in the market.
