I love that you randomly stopped to see the fawns. I am a Georgetown native. Growing up, we lived out by where sun city is now. Back when it was all woods. Our mailboxes were at the end of the street, and everyday my dad would check the mail, a doe would be there and he would talk to her. She just stood there, listening. It was absolutely amazing. He is passed now, but it is one of my favorite memories of him. Georgetown is a beautiful place!

The chickens are a great way to learn about dealing with bullying, life and death, and responsibility...at least that's how I was raised and raising our kids. Growing up can be tough sometimes.

I attended Southwestern University from 1981-1985. I banked in Wahlburg and wrote many checks to Wag-a Bag! I had a mean rooster growing up and it only seamed to get worse. We had hom for dinner one night and got a new rooster who was nice.

I have an experiment you guys can do if you need ideas. You can put an egg in vinegar and let it soak. What it does is the shell with dis love and you can see the yolk. It’s really cool

I live on a Farm in a smaller farming town in Kansas and I never see brand new baby fawns!! That is the coolest thing ever!!

My husband and I build our home we thought we would raise our kids in forever. Then we were told we wouldn’t have kids. Well we did have kids and still that home never felt like home for me. Two years ago we moved across town with our kids to a previously own home and after 15 Years i finally feel comfortable. You just never know. Follow God and your hearts. 🙏🏻❣️
I just came up on your channel a few months ago but I'm loving The Smiths. I am binge-watching as much as I can to catch up. You are so true, live for today cuz who knows what tomorrow will bring. My heart just breaks that y'all are having to go through this valley over the death of River but God will see you through the other side and your faith is strong. Would love to meet Amber and you at one of your meet and greets, keep up the great work. Y'all are inspiration to all of us that are going through bad times.
My folks in San Antonio had a mama and baby (doe and spotted fawn) in their front yard today as well.
We had a rooster and had to send it down the road because he did the same thing with our boys and didn’t want them to be scared of the chickens or get hurt

That is normal in Gtown. They used to eat corn from the squirrel feeder at friends.
When I lived in Leander by the Gabriel river I had them big brown spiders in the garage.

My parents had the same kind of rooster and we figured it was in their blood that they were so protective over their girls so we ended up never getting those kind again

I really hope you see this message, i will leave it on a few videos in hopes you see it. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you Amber and Granger do. Since I started watching your videos shortly after you started the smiths. You have no idea how much you both have inspired me to be a better person, a better father to my children, and just simply making my day brighter each time i watch a video. You really don’t know how much you inspire people. I really new that i needed to be doing things to make myself a better friend, father, and husband to all my family. I have been working on things that you have showed me and things you have done to allow me to see how much of a better person I can be. I really feel like i know the both of you, even though i have never met you, i really hope one day i can... Because of the inspiration you provide as changed my life in a major way. I can never repay you for all you both do for my family. However i really pray one day i can shake your hands and give you a hug to say thank you. Unfortunately I have never been able to make it work to get to a meet and greet.... hopefully one day my wife and I can come see you both. Such a great video... my motto. I am home as long as we are together, a house doesn’t make me feel home, my Husband and kids do! Also, my parents had a Road Island Red Rooster named Big Red. I was Lincoln’s age. It chased me and jumped at me. I was petrified of that Rooster. My Dad would chase him away from me. It was the only mean one we had..
I feel like Rooster is a great protector of the chickens. Give your new piece of land a chance and see what happens. And give Lincoln some more time to build confidence and to overcome his fear of the rooster. Maybe have Lincoln wear some tall rubber boots when and if he goes close so if he gets nibbled it won’t hurt. Good luck 🍀😌🙏🏻🎈

Hi, I live in northern Kentucky... I have been following a story about a Five year old boy that has been missing at a camp ground for 24 hours called Mineral Springs Camp Ground in Peebles, Ohio . At 6:00 Pm his body was found in the Lake . Please pray for his family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 His name was Cameron Walters.... I don’t know this family but in my heart ❤️ God is telling me to tell you!

When growing up on the farm, once a rooster starts showing aggression they only get worse from there and they can hurt a little kid being at eye level

I grew up in a military family, we moved so often that sometimes we never finished unpacking before we had to pack up and move again. I went to more than 16 different schools before I graduated (and I graduated on time). I learned early that things are just things, places will change whether you stay there or not. Look forward not backward, and be grateful for everything and everyone that touches your life. Love is love, and always give it freely. I'm in my 70's now and have friends all over the world (literally) that I am loved by and who I love in return. Do what is right for you, and make wherever you touch down HOME...
I love this! We have moved with our kids several times and ultimately bought a fifth wheel and now we full time travel and live in our camper home. Our kids have also made friends all over the country. Things are just things. It's the relationships and experiences that mean everything.

I lived in San Angelo TX for 9 months and I am so thankful I never saw one in my apartment! I heard horror stories of them crawling on your ceiling above your bed and then just falling in the middle of the night and getting stung lol Yikes!

Spray him with the hose when he goes after you. Lincoln can carry a spray bottle, or a fly swatter with him. Most important, he has to stand his ground with the rooster. Lived on farm my whole life, hurting or hitting the animals was NEVER allowed, but when we were little, we had a rooster that hated my brother, he was like 5 at the time. My grandfather finally told my brother, "you're going to have to give him a good kick". Just took the one time, and following through with standing his ground.

My daughter has a rooster exactly like that only hers is more aggressive. He can see me across the yard and comes running toward me to lunge at me or whoever he might see at the time. We wanted protective BUT he is overdoing his job. We aren't sure what we are gonna do. Good luck with yours. Ours is named "Rocky" lol

As far as the rooster, try carrying him upside down hanging by his feet and do that in front of his girls, it shows him who is ‘boss’. Carry him as much as you can when you’re doing things outside and offer treats by hand. I’ve had a couple aggressive roosters and doing all that helped. We’re lucky now we have a sweet guy that wouldn’t hurt a soul, but those little hellions we had before made taking care of our girls and being out in the yard tough.

At a horse barn I used to work at there was this rooster who would do the same thing Bolt is doing, except he was the only one at the barn. Every time i looked at him he would ignore me, but as soon as I turned away he would charge at me. It got so bad that I had to carry a wiffle ball bat with me. Bolt needs a come to Jesus meeting..LOL.

You could try to break in like they do a brooding hen My grandmother used to take the the most aggressive of them and try to break them of it and then once that she couldn't break she just processed and we would put it on the table and I do understand at least a little you should talk to them God bless good luck

That rooster needs to see the inside of your fridge!!! Actually there is a lot of stuff on the internet about aggressive roosters and how to deal with them, but EVERYONE in the family has to follow along, which might be difficult with kids!
You’ll definitely need to eat at Dale’s and Walburg German Restaurant!!!! We make the drive out there from Leander and both are so good!!! Love the live music nights at both!

God restored it all in abundance, I had to remind myself that I was so down that God left to up to me to do something, anything! he is in control we are on a planet traveling through God's kingdom.
