This is the Tissot PRX Gold in 35mm but it also comes available in the 40mm version. The Tissot PRX Gold has been such an awesome watch especially under $500. #shorts #shortsmas
No. I think quartz here is a better option. I f a watch gives 80 hrs power reserve with good accuracy in a lesser price then it is fishy. Please do research before you buy.
Love this watch! The Tissot PRX is clearly based on the Rolex Oyster quartz Datejust and I love the vintage style to it. My bread and butter is vintage divers like the old school Omega Seamaster 300’s and the 5513 Submariner but I love the vintage dress watch look this has going. Especially in that gold!
@@turnbasedtoddy7664 thank you for your correction, as I said, dressier watches aren’t really my thing and my knowledge on them isn’t strong. Tool watches like divers and chronographs is where my knowledge and experience is. But all the same, Rolex came out with the Oysterquartz around the same time the Seastar came out so we don’t know who really did it first. They’re both relics of the 1970’s that look almost identical, save for the middle links being a hair different.
The silver and Blue PRX is a sharp looking watch . My favorite watch is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas and this watch is very similar. I'm not a fan of the gold though. My favorite is the Blue Chronograph. I would think this was a Homage to the Vacheron, but see you said it was a Date just homage???
The integrated bracelet results in the watch having a much longer effective lug to lug. I wear a 41mm seiko dive watch daily and tried on the 40mm prx, and to my surprise it dwarfed my wrist. I agree that the sweet spot is probably somewhere in between, but the 35 fits much more like a 37.
When u say gold PVD coating, are they using actual real gold to coat the watch? In other words, we know it’s stainless steel underneath but the part that u can see - is that real gold?
Quartz watches are available at many price points. Grand Seiko has amazing quartz watches starting at $2,000 all the way up to $9,000 for a limited edition.
Nice watch but if I buy a more expensive watch I want my money put towards the movement of a mechanical if your gonna buy a quartz may ad well just get a real cheap one
I dont get what you mean “easy to maintain” if it has a battery? Wouldnt it be easier to maintain if it were automatic and never needed a battery swap bc it lasts forever?… plenty of automatic watches for less than 500 bucks
@@InebriHATED i thought servicing was only for cleaning not to reset the time. Why would you constantly have to “service” an automatic if the whole point of them is that they literally last forever
@Sergio Hernandez automatic watches should be serviced every 3-5 yrs. They replace worn parts and relubricate everything. Helps keep it running in top shape and maintain time properly. It can cost anywhere from 100 to thousands for, say, a Patek. I personally dont own any watches over 2k so I dont worry too much about service. If its under 1k, unless its sentimental or something, Id never worry about servicing it. Id wear it till it fell apart lol.
I mean, you could buy a timex that LOOKS decent to a untrained eye... Who wants to buy a stainless steel watch PAINTED gold that anyone who knows anything about a watch knows is low cost/quality lol ... If you want a statement piece in your collection spend an arm and a leg, if you don't have the money uou dont need a "statement piece" you ain't got nothing to say 😆😆

500 dollars is a lot of fucking money
@Darius Moldovan it is???
Prx is LEGENDARY. I cant wait to get one but I just bought a black bay
I recommend the PRX Powermatic stainless steel with black waffle dial. Outstanding watch and with a great Tissot 80h power reserve movement.

@@mohzmmedzia3165what’s fishy about that??
@@mohzmmedzia3165I agree 100%.. The quartz option is a better value for money.
Is the quality same quality automatik and Quartz same quality the Watch?
@@HansPeter-pe6cw I think so. It's the same watch, simply the movement is different so both are made with the same level of quality
Waiting for powermatic version. Will 100% buy then
love that vacheron but 69k 😤
It's so nice

Yup! I was actually thinking the Rolex OysterQuartz too! So good for under $500 🤯
No... it is based on its own design from yeaaars ago.
@@WatchGeek46 the oyster quartz datejust came out a year earlier than the prx. So yea, it's based on the rolex.
No it’s not, it’s based off their own model watch from the 70’s called the quarts seastar.

Making a statement is important, but you have to be careful about what you state 😂
I’m waiting for them to come out with a 37mm. I have an 8 inch wrist. 35 is too small but 40 would be too big for a vintage look.

@@paulallenscards good to know, I’ll have to find somewhere to try this on. Thanks, man.
@@jonboy8181 if you have an 8 inch wrist then I’d bet the 40 suits you more. Mine is 7 so it just doesn’t taper well on me.
@@paulallenscards to get that vintage vibe I almost want it undersized. Especially if I got gold. A big gold watch doesn’t look good on anyone! Haha
is there any product out there that we can use to gold plating so it can last long ??
I have a (7.7inch ) 19.5cm wrist. Do I have to go with the 35mm or the 40mm?
Vacheron Constantin 222 and Zenith Pilot Chrono is my dream watches.
Saw your ad at JFK the other day!
That’s amazing! I have yet to see the billboard yet in person, but will do so soon
I have this watch and it was a great buy
Looks a lot like Vacheron Constantine 222.
PRX Powermatic 80 Steel & 18K Gold Bezel Mens Watch is my choice !!!
Wrist size?
When u say gold PVD coating, are they using actual real gold to coat the watch? In other words, we know it’s stainless steel underneath but the part that u can see - is that real gold?
Not using real gold, it’s just a coating through physical vapor deposition, basically just creating a gold like color on the surface
$500 for a quartz watch?
It’s almost gold son
You can get them for 350 all day
Quartz watches are available at many price points. Grand Seiko has amazing quartz watches starting at $2,000 all the way up to $9,000 for a limited edition.
i have 3 of the powermatic in 40, tried the 35 on but it looks like a ladies watch on my wrist.
i own this watch, it is a good alternative
Thinking of grabbing a green one soon
The difference is cunning.
Almost missed the 222 in the beginning of the video.
Don't wanna spend an arm and a leg 😅
What is your wrist size
or you can get the Tissot gentleman with the solid gold bezel
I spent an arm and a leg and its worth it too.
I've been seeing this watch on different accounts for the last 3 days now.
And whatever you do, don't try to apply a leather strap. It's great as it is already.
Kinda wish it didn’t have a seconds hand
Comparison from sky to base
Got one from Amazon for dad for $300. For the money that I paid for the watch certainly worth it
Great gift!
I wouldnt buy a watch that fades or scratches the coloring
Nice watch but if I buy a more expensive watch I want my money put towards the movement of a mechanical if your gonna buy a quartz may ad well just get a real cheap one
If I ever get one of these I’m taking it to a watchmaker to remove the seconds hand. The ticking really kills the look IMO

Service on an automatic costs far more than a battery

I think he’s talking about the price of servicing. Autos don’t run forever without a service.
Gold plated and a quartz?! Nope. Steel with automatic movement is the class watch. Plating fades and quarts is for Timex. Next! 😂
They have all kinds of versions, including automatic in gold and stainless steel… and PVD plating lasts a lifetime for all we know
You're of average IQ correct
Powermatic better >>>
Is it real gold or titanium nitride?
It’s PVD gold so just a plating
It’s not actual gold. Therefore no statement
That’s like buying a wrapped Honda.
Prx is junk
35mm, what wrist do you have hehe
how big is your wrist?
PVD plating 😅
the tissot look too yellow tho
I dunno gold , ok pvd LSD
You're just spending an arm
why not a real gold?
Потому реал голд прибавит 0 в цене
that’s so grim man, fell so far to recommend a gold plated quartz for half a grand
Tissot lol
Isnt 35 only a womans size
Not necessarily, men’s watches used to be 35mm and smaller years ago. And there’s still a shift of people wanting to wear smaller watches these days.
