I really enjoyed this docmentary, and I have to say, I was very dishearted that the dominant female was killed!! I am glad you didn't show that unnecessary action. How much WILD is available??? Hardly any. How many sheep....how many cows.....sheep and cows far outnumber any wolves. We, as humans, have always thought and acted as though WE are more important than any other life form.....I say....cut back on the domesticated animals and let a few of Mother Natures' other forms have some room. I live on a 100 acre ranch. My grown children have sheep.....we also have coyotes.....every lambing season a lamb or two gets taken by the coyotes....my kids have never killed or poisoned them.....before white settlers came the natives lived with the wild.....not seeing them as anything but their brothers and sisters....their reality was they were all connected. As colonizers we saw ourselves as separate from nature and thus we had a right to tame and conquer her. I hope that attitude is shifting to one of open heartedness. I appreciated those ranchers who thought of ways of living with the wolves and protecting their flocks....truthfully my sympathies and compassion almost always reside with the WILD. However, I really appreciated your nonbias approach to your film and enjoyed it very much. Except for the killing of the alpha female. Which, of course, wasn't your doing....you only reported it.
