    So glad these fossils were found by someone as skilled and knowledgeable as yourself. It feels better to know they are being respectfully treated and in good hands, and not just deteriorating into oblivion and unable to be appreciated.

    I'm a 53 year old woman who still thinks I'm 20. You boys are living the dream. I could do what you do all day long. My bucket list is fossils like yours and megaladon teeth. You lucky dogs, what adventures you get to experience!!! So jealous but happy for you!

    What a crazy dichotomy between the danger of swimming solo w giant predators and the mind numbing repetitiveness of cleaning and preserving!
    So cool. I'm way impressed.

      Brave or dumb?
      When I lived in Florida a guy was eaten & killed by an alligator.
      He went to the store & bought 2 6 packs & decided to cut across a small body of water with a 6 pack in each hand.

    This was sooo interesting. Ancient life-forms are fascinating, and it does help to see how you are preserving them. So much work and it's much appreciated! There must be some parts of ancient dinodaurs that are in the DNA of life on Earth now. Another aspect for me, as a believer in reincarnation, is that our souls have lived right through from the early forms of life on Earth to the present day, not just humans, but the animals too, as we once were, all gaining knowledge and different experiences in each life-rime.

    I just subscribed to your channel after watching this crazy video! In my culture we say mazel tov- congrats to a job well done! From discovery to preparation, I was astonished to see how you were able to preserve something that was in such a delicate condition. I dream of the day I can do this. I am also curious about your diving equipment… what kind of air supply system do you use? I’ve never seen anything like it and while I love scuba diving on tanks, this seems much more well-suited to lacustrine fossil collection and I want to know more! But all in all this was exceptional!!!!!

    Wow I'm so jealous man! I love watching your videos. I live in Finland myself and as some might know, the ice sheet's completely flatted out this country when they slided across the earth so there are practically no fossils at all in the whole country. The only animal fossils discovered in Finland from the last ice age that I know of off the top of my head are 11 mammoth fossils (4 teeth I think) and a single partial deinotherium fossil which was dated at 5 ~million years. It's really sad.. I study biology myself and I collect bones myself, and fossils - which I have to buy or find in another country...

    • @DiggingScience
      @DiggingScience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      See, my wife and I have talked about what other countries we would live in, but almost nowhere else beats the US in terms of public fossil hunting! Really glad you are still enjoying the hobby in whatever capacity you can! Who knows maybe you'll have one of our fossils one day!
