These SA tv ads appear to date from the 1990s to early 2000s. Number 8 was quite droll, with the wooden mannequin girl applying wood varnish as a sunscreen! 😂🌞
I wanted to show my American friend the Met Eish Ja ad and come across this channel - and now im having so much fun watching these - I had to micro explain the joke in met Eish, now i realize these are amazing I but i don't think anyone not in South Africa back in the day can truly ever get the nostalgic hilarity of these ads. I don't think i can explain these to my American friends 😂😂😂 but these are some of the best. My favourite is the Plascon ad with the wooden dolls
Do you have those old underage drinking commercials there was one scary one I remember where there is a title that says , “good idea: Getting a Lift Home.” There was a young teenager in the front passenger seat of a car. “Bad idea: Drinking before you do”, then it ends with a sign post showing that girl missing
