Normal situation in Egypt or in any Islamic Arabic countries . Bakshish is normal … I hate going to Egypt or Marocco . You are being scammed everywhere … you are lucky you are alive ❤
Be careful in Egypt / Morocco / Tunisia etc, put no escort on your dating profile, to be honest I probably would have given them the €40 Euro to get them out, it's scary for foreigners .
Mental note for people traveling to new countries- spend 10 hours researching the country (2 hrs a day for 5 days, it's easy)= TH-cam, google, reddit, expat forums. You are in a country that exists via survival. Money equals survival. You are not in your home country. Take care❤
Jose you are crazy man, putting your life in danger for $40, you are cheap. You should gave him the money, I beg you get a good time. Money is just money your life is worth way more, give the money, any price they would ask still cheap because you life is more expensive
You should definitely not have done that. You are in the Middle East. In any country, you have to be careful, but in the Middle East, things can escalate due to religion. I live in Egypt and even if you're going into a hotel with an Egyptian, you must show a marriage certificate. Also, even if you're in a touristic city, be respectful of the culture, especially when dealing with Egyptians.
There’s no such thing as a free lunch. Sure she wasn’t transparent but how can you be so naive that she hit on you? You enjoyed her so pay up and move on.
@@josemaccena. Seriously Jose? When you go to a country where women’s economic opportunities is much less than men’s. They have to earn their own money to pay for their expenses to support themselves and families. Whenever someone offers you goods and or services be wary and ask them how much? That way you can decide if to accept the price.
Scary, and also hurtful to think you’re making a genuine connection to then go through all that. I’m sorry you had that experience

@@josephcacchio560 I don't think it's a matter of naivety, just cultural. Or are you going to tell me you had it all figured out at 27?
