I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I pre-ordered the Q3 and it hasn't arrived yet but I did play with it at the Leica store and based on the few times I used it, the screen, viewfinder, focusing system, and processor are significantly better. The autofocus of the Q3 is miles ahead of the Q2 and that alone is such a big deal for me. That said, the Q2 is still an INCREDIBLE camera and the final results will be very similar to the results you'd get with the Q2. You also might find some good deals on a used Q2. Personally, if I didn't have any of them now, I would 100% get the new one just because the improvements will definitely make a difference in usability and its newer technology :)

Nice review and photos! Which other Leica cameras (other than the Q2 and SL2-S) do you own and use? I have a Q2 Monochrom and three Leica digital color cameras (CL, SL2, and M11; I can also see getting an SL2-S someday) and love them all (I’m not knocking other brands as I also have older Canon and Nikon cameras and enjoy them, but I prefer the simplicity of Leicas). However, the Monochrom is the one I default to because of the camera’s image quality and it’s old-school feel (dedicated manual aperture and shutter speed controls). BTW, your English speaking ability is excellent.

I do see myself also picking up a Monochrom in the near future since I love shooting BW. Just don't know which one I would go for! How do you like the Q2 Monochrom?

Great camera, I own one but the AWB is hit or miss. I also did own the monochrome Q2 and the photos are fantastic. If you crop a photo it is incredibly good. I dropped my Q2 and dented the lens hood but it caused a glitch in the EVF but it doesn’t come out in the photos. I would have to send it to Leica in Germany (I live in the UK, so not far) to get it fixed but the cost is probably expensive, so I have just got used to the glitch.
Oh no I'm sorry that happened! I'm glad it's not affecting the actual pictures though! Totally agree on the AWB. I use manual WB for the most part because of that same reason

Personally, if I only had the Q2 I wouldn’t sell my Canon gear. I actually still have my canon camera & lenses, and still use it for weddings mainly because I can switch lenses. Also my Canon is faster, has dual SD card slots, etc.
@@guibenites-ny is there a setting on the camera to make it black and white or did you do that when editing? Also, I wonder how that would compare with using the monochrom Q2.
I own the x100f but never used the x100v. With the F I notice that the images are a lot softer than the Q2. I also prefer the colors and contrast on the Q2 a lot more. That said I do use the Fuji when I want to be more low key or just want to grab some shots occasionally on a walk or a trip.
@@guibenites-ny it honestly stopped all together after a while. It happened the same way you described. I had tough Sony cards and I still use it but honestly hasn’t happened in over a year and I use my camera every single day. Weird lol I love the thing but sometimes I wish it it had more lol
