    Thank you! I was so inspired I decided to go to my local Lowes and grab materials and get going! Needless to say I am 3/4 done with this project and it's looking very nice! Glad I came across your video.

    Pretty cool finished product. For folks who have never done this kind of thing before, you probably should explain that there could be electrical wires in the walls, so using shorter nails is a good idea. Wood is 3/4" and drywall is likely 5/8" so using 1.5" brad nails for any slats that don't fall on studs is probably best... that way you don't poke the romex. Great Zoom background wall.

      Thank you for this comment, I'm getting ready to do my own wall and was concerned about missing the studs!

    Thanks for including the mistakes on here, it makes me much more confident that I can also do this cause I'm planning to do this soon but on a smaller scale. Looks really nice.

    Very nice! Gives a more cohesive look than the first wall. And all and all looks fairly easy to do.

    Love it! Have seen it on another channel too, but not the whole wall. Only behind the bed and behind the wall. The rest was black. Very nice. For a teenager's bedroom.

    I would suggest using a whole long spacer.

    Should have used a matte of flat sheen on the black

    You could have easier sliced off the side of that outlet cover instead of cutting into the wood. But hey good job! It’s easy for me to offer solutions when I haven’t done it myself.
    Also if you didn’t want to sand the nail holes you could apply painters tape to each board, nail through the tape. Then putty over the tape, stain over that and then peel the tape off. Cost a little more but it’s easier to apply and remove tape than it is to sand and clean up! Hope this helps

    Try using an angled cutting brush for wall corners for a clean edge without taping.

    I think you could have trimmed the outlet cover down by 1/4 and left the slat in tact to avoid notching the wood. Looks good!

      @rangersmith4652 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. And you can paint the outlet to wall color so it doesn't stand out at all. If you shudder at that idea, just buy an outlet and cover that match as close as you can find to the wall color.

      Or adjusted the surrounding slats to accommodate the outlet.

    Thank you for that. Can i use the nailer to concrete or i need a different tool

    • @hamburgers7817
      @hamburgers7817 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, in your case it would be best to use MDF board and cover the entire concrete wall with that. Paint the MDF Black then nail the wood slats to the MDF. In order to attach the MDF to the concrete, you will need Tapcons or some other type of concrete anchor. You can easily do this with a drill that has a hammer function.

    It would have been awesome to know what size of wood you chose, that was so fast I can’t even freeze the frame to screen catch it. 😢
