please upgrade your UCA's. The stock ones are garbage and when you add a leveling kit/lift and you don't replace the UCAs you are running a much larger risk of the upper ball joints failing which can be very dangerous.
Folding tonneau cover! Trust me, best investment ever. Keeps the weather out when you need a "trunk", and out of the way when you need it opened up. The floor mats are definitely worth it, unless you have the rubber floors.
Just got the silverado custom rally edition. It already comes with all thes mods.Comes with 20inch rims, I just bought off road tires. One thing that really made it pop out more was changing the factory tints to 5%. But still beautiful truck man ,that red is amazing 👏.
I dropped a DECKED storage system in my 2020 1500 Duramax. Running boards...I live on gravel and they help to minimize rock chips. I also de-badged my truck because after a rain I don't like the gravel dust water trails left behind on summit white lol. De-badging is easy: use monofilament dental floss and slowly saw side to side through the adhesive. My son worked for a chevy dealership detailing vehicles and this is how they did it. I think it took me about 30ish minutes to get everything but the Z71 and duramax badging off. Timing is an estimate as I did it back in 2020 and don't remember exact time just know it didn't take me longer then that.
I got a bed mat for my 2022 GMC; my cargo didn't slide because of the coating they have on the bed. The part I like about the bed mat is when I'm kneeling in the bed; it's better for my old knees.
My understanding is anything under 3in you don't need to replace your control arms, I did this almost a year ago now and have had no issues to speak of. Thanks for the tip!
I bought the Weathertech bed liner even though my 2024 Silverado truck came with the Chevy optional spray-in liner. Also got Weathertech brand front and rear floor mats. Got a short antenna too. That’s it. Thought about wheelhousing liners but suspect those would promote rust. I’d also like some cornering lights but so far cannot find any.
I used a can of flex seal on one of my old travel trailers that I had to replace a wheel well cover. I had a flat which destroyed the plastic liner, so I built a wooden box and lined the curve with sheet metal and bent about 50 little tabs to secure that stupid thing. After that, I sprayed the entire thing with black flex seal and it looked like one piece of molded plastic. Obviously, having a clean surface is the most important part.
Great set up! I dig the 17s, it seems like everyone is going to 20s these days.. With your new 17inch rims, did you have to use wheel spacers to clear the front brake calipers or have to use hub rings? I just bought a 19 and it came with factory 17s and i was looking to upgrade to aftermarket 17s Thanks!
The rims are a -12 offset but I didn’t need any wheel spacers or anything and the rims fit nicely over the callipers. I believe 17s are the smallest you can go before they will start to rub
Those wheels and tires. You went from 20" to 17". So how close do those tires come to the upper ball joint if they aren't rubbing lock to lock? I have the same bef mat uts good quality. Have the same GM floor matts. I would go with Weaver tech. Gm are $130 front $90 for back. I only got them cause I had GM reward points from a new truck purchase.
What the point you doing leveling kit but still have stock upper control arm your putting more stress on them since you change the angle only matter of time b4 they break on you
With a 2in leveling kit you don't need to replace the factory upper control arms. Anything over 2in you have to replace them. I contacted Rough Country who supplied the leveling kit and they specifically say you do not need to replace the UCAs and haven't had any issues with them failing at that height. Plus, the trailboss trucks come with a factory 2in lift and they also have the factory upper control arms. Appreciate the concern though!
Again your changing the angle of the UCA you do not have a tb and the tb height is different and have longer drive axles seen guy say this so many times til it break on them but ur truck fyi go join Chevy Silverado group and you would see all the guys that say the same as you and what’s the end result
Those people that had trouble did leveling kits. Those lower the rear and DO put stress on the ball joints. They DO cause failures. The front spacers are good.
Those Upper Control Arms are weak as hell. And if they break, GM will refuse to cover the warranty on them. You should have really changed those, too. I was looking into the level kit but then saw that. The only way around it is an extended warranty with suspension rider. Otherwise, if you UCA breaks, you are your own warranty station.
those tires and rims are cheap, my tires alone Firestone destination x/t were $2,000 altogether, full mount ,balance, lifetime alignements etc.... i want the stock chevy black rims and they are 550$ a rim..so sounds like you got a great deal on rim and tire

In Georgia at least, it’s illegal to have an excessive lift without mudflaps

Upvote for a TPE or rubber bed mat. That factory spray-in liner is brutal on my knees.
Bed Rug is a game changer if you are in and out of the bed a lot.
My man just called them deckals

Not sure if tinting is legal here in Canada but I agree. I also love the red! Thanks!
35% Here in Boston but I'm getting my blacked out Rally tomorrow! I hope it treats me well.
Anyone install an oil catch can?

You will have to upgrade your upper control arms ASAP my upper ball joints went right away after leveling kit.

Yeah you need to do that if you pick a shit leveling kit. I have a readylift leveling kit and I haven’t had a problem.
@@roblacerra3257I’m about to buy that leveling kit, how is it holding up now? Thanks in advance
@@Jacob-gp3ruit’s awesome. Had it on for a year now, no issues!
What about the 2.7 turbo engines. Do you think they can handle custom wheels?
Yeah I don’t think you’d have any issues at all with a 2.7 and custom wheels!
Funny. Never seen this video before and I did all of those plus tri-fold tonneau cover and 5% ceramic tint
2 questions: 1. How many miles were on the tires when you sold them? And 2. Did you sell the tires separate from the rims?
I think there was about 40,000kms on them, and I sold them on the rims for $1000. I wasn’t going to use them for anything so pretty happy with it!
Nice Vid just one tip add 1 inch spacers to your wheels will make them pop and look more aggressive.
Thanks for the tip!
GM sells the front floor mat for $125.00. Put one in yesterday took 4 minutes real easy.
Not bad on the tire price. 265/70/18 falken wildpeak at3 were 1500 for mine. And thats only like a 32.5x10.8 or something like that

I think you did well. The only thing that I didn’t like was the mud flaps. I’m sure they are worth every penny, but i am struggling to like them
Whatever you do, do NOT buy these RC levelling spacers. Do it right and buy the proper strut kit which doesn’t mess with your control arm geometry.
is that a drop in bedliner or sprayed bed liner with the bed mat?
Spray in liner with the bed mat!
Anyone know if the ltz mirrors with light will fit on custom trailboss?

17s are the smallest rims you can go on these trucks I believe, but no rubbing whatsoever!
Curious on the bed liner - do you have to secure this down so it doesn't fly out? Or does it stay in place on its own???
Just stays in place! They're fairly heavy and rubber so they never move around.
Thanks for the share. The info on the Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit was very helpful💯👍🏽🇺🇸🙏🏾🔥

Can you provide a link to the tires and wheels?
There is a link in the description for you
mud flaps are horrible. Way to take away from the good look you had going
I was getting a ton of damage to the paint without them so they are a necessity. But I do agree, I like the look without them.
It’s because he put wheels that stick out past the fender looks ridiculous
@@TheForsakenghost you’re in the over whelming minority on that, grandpa

The mud flaps take away from an otherwise solid vehicle… Of course that’s just my opinion though!

Deckels? Decals
