This is lovely piece of information for teams that are just starting out on ancient. It all shows how the teams adjusted to the growing mid control meta, whence you talk about the shallow mid smoke and mollying either side as a CT.
Wow! I am actually amazed how well and deep your analysis goes. I must say you are probably the best counter strike analyst on youtube without a doubt. I appreciate your hardwork and time in these videos!
You talked about spawns on dust2 and how to utilize them and again with this video on Ancient. Some of the most useful information I've seen in CS vids in a long time
Really appreciate all the work that goes on making this from using bots for fast spawns to nade replays, not to mention the editing as well to precisely point something out- all this makes this a basically extremely easy viewing experience. Thanks!
Great video! Super instructive about the different possibilities of both CT-side and T-side. It also gives us a good look of what the pro teams do which can help some amateur teams to try and improve themselves on Ancient or at least taking middle as a CT or a T.
Thank you for this. You are making such good content for the CS community. Helps me improve my own game and also helps me understand pro matches a bit better. Grateful.
hey mahone great video I love this kinda stuff. I've always felt like I have a general idea of site/mid peek timing and options but breaking it down makes it much clearer. Something similar for overpass pushing fountain for T/CT side would totally change my game
Thanks for the great video, Mahone! Could you make a video explaining what tactics teams can run with this mid control? For example, are there lurks into house, or doughnut executes, or ways to get cat, or even safe anchor spots to pause and wait for CT aggression in mid, and then setup? Cheers!
Thank you for your work. These are all fantastic videos. If you ever have a gap in content, make a video built for duos ( a bunch of two man setups) this is very approachable for a climbing player that wants to improve, but doesn't have the structure of a full team.
Would like to see more of different takes you can take, especially T push on A, smokes you can do in T-spawn to the doughnut, house, mollys to corner prevent CT push and suprise in corner. Vill gärna se mer av olika takes man kan ta, framför allt T push på A, smokes man kan göra i T-spawn till munken, hus, mollys för att förhindra CT push för att förhindra ct push och överraskningar i hörnen.
How valuable is mid-control on Ancient? If you would compare it to contestable areas on other maps, say for example banana on inferno? Which utility do you think is mandatory for Ts on Ancient to throw most rounds? Great video btw!
Thanks so much! To answer, in terms of how valuable mid control is, I think it's similar to taking mid control on Cache. It's not an absolute-must but it's certainly good to have the option of splitting a bombsite or cutting rotations to make hits more effective. In terms of the utility, I think that throwing the window + donut combo most rounds is pretty similar to throwing the sandwich + ebox smokes on Train. It's something you'll want to throw a lot to at least make the CTs respect the fact that you could take mid fast, so they have to either use utility/send a lot of people to stop it.
what's the scene consensus on ancient? I'm just coming back to csgo after about 1.5yr break, was faceit8 before, now I am dog water, but having fun...barely remember my util for the old map pool. Is this one sticking around? Worth learning? No one seems to play it on faceit.
My future teamates will thank you, Ive never sat down to actually learn these because its sush a bad map, but I guess its time to do so, btw great video, short and informative (still shit map tho, bringbackcobble)
First video on Ancient! If you have any other suggestions on Ancient related content, please let me know down below!
good demos :D
Let hear some B splits/defense next! Amazing content as always!
How to play awp on ancient, just in general!
One thing I think would be helpful is how to hold a particular choke point on CT side. Such as dig/ruins or donut/tomb
Please go over some defaults for ancient!
This is propably the most useful video on high level cs I've ever seen. Soo deep and including the counterplays etc. just brilliant. Thanks
Huge compliment, thank you so much!
Love the conciseness, density, and respect for the viewer to understand everything you're saying
Thank you, I'm really happy to hear that!

Craziest break down ever on a map i have 0 knowledge on. Great VOD examples with examples, counters, and counters to the counters lol
Thank you! Glad to hear it helped

Thanks so much, definitely will be something I implement for a future overpass video!

Will do for the future! I had thought about doing those for this video but decided it deserves its own video. Thanks so much!
Awesome stuff, still a lot to learn on ancient
Thank you, definitely a map that hasn't been completely figured out yet!

It will be sticking around but not too sure if it's all too popular to play. Hoping this video could change that in some way 😋
@@mahone_tv no doubt it will! Thanks for the videos as always bro
The doghnut molo is banned now right?
Not anymore
