absolutely adore this breakdown and how easy it was to follow such nebulous concepts as rotation and information control
i love how this also reflects back on the current meta where even in a 5v4 cts still want map control advantage for info because they know t executes, trading, and afterplants are so refined that without info to make the correct rotation cts can get shut out, it seems that on inferno navi prefer to punish these info plays more towards mid... perhaps since its easier for the ts to isolate 1v1s either at long or short and more difficult/uncommon for cts to coordinate plays rather than take the 1v1 or fall back (at least compared to banana)
mahone videos dont just give you different plays to make, but they make you think more critically about your decision making, and come up with solutions based on understanding how the opponents will react to the state of the round
    best cs yter hands down

sick video, I am convinced this level of cs content will raise the bar for youtube cs content. Finding patterns a team follows must be harder than copypasting a set strategy with commentary.

Love the concept. Just to add one thing, the amount of firepower that Navi have right now, with s1mple being at top form, and electronic and b1t being world class riflers, helps win these duels, that other teams just wouldn't. Navi has always appeared to be a systematic team, meaning that if one thing in the system goes wrong, everything else will most likely fail. Before b1t arrived, Navi had joke t sides, as Flamie just wasn't putting up the numbers. Yet when b1t came in, Navi pieced everything together. If you watch Navi games, even when Electronic is playing down, he still manages to have high impact as he is the best player at creating space, and gathering solid info in the world; in part to his game sense and his fragging ability. This allows s1mple to be activated, and without Electronic, s1mple wouldn't be the same player. All this ties together in strats like this working, and basically any other team at this moment wouldn't be able to pull this strat off.

Great video! Electronic is amazing for winning the duels against awp in brackets, but that was only possible because opponents were pressured to make an information play like you described. Tactics + skill.

    Note to myself:
-First step : make sure to lose a player early so you can be in a 4v5
    -Second : win the round

Honestly what I'm seeing in this videos is CT forcing aggression, especially uncoordinated types, despite having a 5v4 advantage. In almost all these cases, the first CT to die is picked off in an angle where they committed to a fight rather than playing for info or setting up crossfires. Isn't the A site usually a strong CT site given how many crossfires teams can set up? NaVi didn't use too much utility in these clips to take A after taking brackets. Instead they're allowed to creep up on people lane, or long, and take 1v1 duels where the CTs are throwing their life since they do not have faith in their site holds. Could it be argued that in these cases, it's NaVi punishing bad CT plays by instantly committing to a site (generally A) as soon as they lose the first guy, and the CTs not anticipating it and thinking it's still a default?

Appreciate the comment! Those are good points, there are many ways to interpret this. I believe this comes down to not having enough information/map control because of the fear of a B hit rather than an A hit. Imagine being the CTs where you're in a situation that you give up mid brackets + banana + long/even CT spawn. If the Ts hit B either through just a straight exec or a B split through CT, the CTs at A cannot impact the round despite being up in a 5v4.
The other point you raised about uncoordinated reaggression, you are correct as perhaps using a flash or two would have been a lot better. If we consider the option of dedicating more than 1 player to reaggressing for information, that can open up other holes in the setup, or even create a worse situation where potentially the Ts hold for that aggression and turn the 5v4 into a 3v4. Risk/reward is the main consideration, if there's only 1 person aggressing, then the worst that could happen is a 4v4 with some information gained about what the Ts might be doing. The best that can happen is that the 1 person clears map control, maintains the 5v4, AND has information gained about what the Ts might be doing. I think what's more impressive here is that NaVi have not only setup this situation, but also know how to capitalize on it fully by following through with the hit and trading effectively. Not all teams can do this.

Obviously probably more to it, but I think one thing that's noticeable is that they're a lot quicker in reacting together (either pushing together or falling back together) as a team, where maybe before they didn't do this so much.
