    Great video! The tip about the radius lead in and out is priceless. All insights about CNC for us newbies is appreciated.

    Love the videos but I am curious about something. In your programming at the end showing the 2 passes you had cutter comp turned on. If you have the diameter of the mill called then wouldn't your hole have been .5 small? You programmed the mill to feed to the center of the mill when it would be cutting the circle. If you used comp for that wouldn't that put the edge of the endmill on that line instead of the diameter you are wanting?

    I have odd shaped saw cut square bar. I would like to make into a round bar. Do you have any videos on this type of mailing operation?

    Hi Tom,
    Is there a technique to rough out the stock around the inside of the cutter,in perhaps a spiralling fashion similar to Haas g12,g13?
    Many thanks

    Thank you Tom for this lessons, I like it. This split screen on 9:20 was very helpful to visualize the toolpath. And also is it posible to make the NC like this:
    G40 Y1. J-0.125;
    G0 Y0

    I haven't finished the video yet but I know if you add a value in Z you get a ramping motion. Combine that with an L value (at least of Fadal) to repeat and tadaa!!, circle milling made easy!

    Instead of I and J form of g03 can't we use R value here?

    How would this work for mill turns with regards to climb milling or conventional?

    • @TomStikkelman

      When circle milling a hole you would use a G3 to climb mill (counterclockwise direction) and use G2 for conventional milling ( clockwise tool path).

    Hi......! Thanks for the info bro. But don't you think that the tool start point which is at the ctr of the holes is rather to far from your lead in/out .

    • @TomStikkelman

      You can defenitely move that start point closer. Or make the initial move a rapid move.Thanks for your feedback Mymoon Wade.
