Thanks bro. I just did a couple of projects every time coding by hand. I had to go back cause I forgot from which direction to figure out G41/42. Maybe 6 more programs using cutter comp and I will have that in long term memory. Programming a CNC is far easier than fixing it. Be thankful.

Hi Jeff, Using your method I coded for two 50mm equilateral triangles 90mm apart - it worked perfectly. Then I thought hmmm I could code a subroutine and using parameters make the program more flexible. However, that's when it all went pear-shaped. It would appear that Mach3 can not handle g40 - 42 within a subroutine. Where do I go to learn about using G41 on G02 and G03 commands I've got these curves that are not 360 degrees and am only used to going center to center. I was also wondering, what about if you had to plunge out a pocket, what would your starting point be. I really like how you made thsi stuff really simple and clear. Thanks

Can you explain the difference between on the control when you use the full diameter of the cutter or when you put haft of the cutter or when not put nothing of the offset control
G41 = O.D. G42 = I.D. (on most machines) . Now give me the post 2009 HAAS code that recognizes it and where to put it because HAAS uses at least two R's.
