Hey fellas, i’m happy to report there’s new contender in town, Mammamia Sicilian Deli & Market. I was told it was better than Mona Lisa, so I had to try for myself. I’ll be dammed, it was better than Mona Lisa. I got the Spicy Sicilian (equivalent to the Spicy Special at Mona Lisa) and it was phenomenal. Please check them out!
Thanks for the heads-up! A new contender better than Mona Lisa? That’s a bold claim, and we’re intrigued! The Spicy Sicilian sounds phenomenal-we’ll definitely add Mammamia Sicilian Deli & Market to our list. Can’t wait to give it a try! 🥪🔥
Thanks for the kind words! We did try an Italian beef at Milton’s, but honestly, it didn’t hit the spot. Other than that, we haven’t found many around San Diego. But we are on the lookout! 🥪✨
There was one place that was the real deal for a Hot Italian Beef and it was called Taste of Chicago. Unfortunately he just closed his doors this year. But please do let us know if you guys find any worthy spots down here in SD! Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the Breaking the Chains videos. We’ll definitely consider bringing them back for some future videos! Stay tuned!
Thanks so much for the love! For now, we're sticking to sandwiches, but who knows-maybe we'll branch out in the future. Appreciate the suggestion and your support!
Love your videos! Have you guys tried the sub sandwiches at Frantone's Restaurant? Frantone's is located in Cerritos, CA (near Cerritos College). They've been around since the mid 1960's I love their subs (5 meats & cheese or their Meatball & Cheese subs) and their lasagna is fantastic!
Thanks so much for the love! Frantone's sounds like a great spot to check out, especially with that long history since the 60s. The 5 meats & cheese sub and meatball sub sound mouthwatering, and lasagna is always a solid choice. We haven't tried it yet, but it's definitely on our radar now! Appreciate the recommendation-sounds like a place we’ll have to visit soon!
Thanks for the feedback! It’s great to hear you’re a fan of the Hey Tony. We’ll have to give it another try and see if we missed something! Toni just thought it had too much meat. Other than that it was great!=
I love spicy Italians! All these places looked yummy 😋
They are! If you love spicy meats, then go to Locally Toasted for sure!
Spicy

Hope you enjoy it! Be sure to tell them The Sandwich Snobs sent you!
@ I sure will, and I’m sure that I will give them a great review…
Love your videos…
PLEASE branch out to all restaurants not just sandwiches. You two have great energy and would love your take on all food.
Thanks so much for the love! For now, we're sticking to sandwiches, but who knows-maybe we'll branch out in the future. Appreciate the suggestion and your support!

You guys gotta check out BMH Italian Deli in La Mesa!
Thanks for the suggestion! We haven't made it to BMH Italian Deli in La Mesa yet, but it sounds like a must-try. We'll add it to our list for sure!
Does Vista have any samich places?
I’m sure they do! We are going to explore all of San Diego and hopefully one day… the world!
They look good but I think Rocken Jenny’s in Escondido is the best
Oh thats a close call!
We will let you know when we do our Italian Sandwich Series in Q1 of 2025
I disagree with your ranking of Locally Toasted. That Hey Tony is top notch.
Thanks for the feedback! It’s great to hear you’re a fan of the Hey Tony. We’ll have to give it another try and see if we missed something! Toni just thought it had too much meat. Other than that it was great!=

We will go there! you're the 4th person to mention it!
Italian Sandwiches without going to Santa Monica Bay Cities Italian Deli for a Godmother sandwich? Oh, the shame!
You do realize the title says San Diego right? 😂

That’s too bad. But thanks for the comment!
