  • Fitting extended wheel studs on the race car because I changed the wheels. this is necessary as the wheels I picked foul the ap 4 pot calipers so spacers are required, the reason for changing the wheels was because I brought them with the correct tyres for the mg cup and these wheels are the lightest wheels for a F / TF apart from the ultra rare ultralights.
plus I go on a little rant due to I'm not allowed to run spacers in the class I want to compete in.

    Great content as always.
Would the Mike Satur front camber kit be classed as altering the suspension pickup points?

In theory yes, unless it states vehicles can be adapted for camber adjustment.

Hi Greg, great videos and they've been a real help. Could you tell me where you sourced the longer wheel studs and the wheel nuts without those silly decorative caps? I'm doing some club racing and would like to do the same. Thx

The studs came from a chap called Dan Surridge who runs cmc motorsport, quite well known in the MG community.
The wheel nuts are just standard, as I need to run standard wheels and have the floating washer on them, just remove the chrome cover and use an 18mm socket on the nuts.
Glad I've been of some use 😂 and your enjoying the videos.

@@gregoryelgood Thanks Greg, I'll follow that contact up! By the way, did you have a good way to get those tin covers off the wheel nuts? I tried prying them with no luck, ended up cutting one, but it scored the nut underneath :(

@brockbenson4603 I wedged the spinning washer in the vice and used a punch and hammer. Sometimes the washer comes off the nut easy to put back on with a hammer.
Not too much effort is needed.

I dont really understand why they distinguish an F from a TF in this case. Especially if you have TF subframes fitted anyway?

I Know, Doesn't Really Make Much sense But That's Then Rules Unfortunately.

Good luck finding trophy wheels, we'll not get into the weight of them.
