I love this series. Its just fun to sit down and spend 20 minutes learning a lick. Typically, learning the music is one of the least fun parts, but they way you keep it moving while spending enough time and giving useful tips and breaking stuff down throughout the video makes the whole process a lot of fun, not just the end product. You've honestly helped me find enjoyment out of learning the music, not just playing it
Marcus, I love what you're doing. I'm new to regimental drumming and I'm struggling with the rhythms. I'm reading the score and it shows the 5 note groups aa 1/8 notes, eg. 5 notes spread over 2 beats, but to my ear, it seems you are playing them over one beat. Am I missing something? Is this a kind of short hand notation for line drumming?
Marcus, you're still awesome.
The rebound sound like a bubble thought
Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘
He’s back!!
OMG Marcus, you made a baby cry! :0 ...and the Marines sent out a plane to investigate as well! NICE! (Exceptional work, as usual! Very infectious!)
My kids (I have 3) were running/crawling around the whole time. It took 2 hours to film 😩
@@marcushawkinsmusic ==> Nonetheless, as the viewer, well worth it for us! Very appreciated and well done!

@@goldendragon759 I counting it in halftime for some of the stuff.
@@marcushawkinsmusic Thanks for taking the time to respond. That makes a lot of sense. So grateful for these licks, really inspiring and fun!
