- A personal list of characters in Genshin I WOULD regret...if I didn't pull for everyone. But if I was forced to yeet some off my account, these would be the ones to go.

It's always fun to see other people's "regret" lists because, being an F2P player myself, I'll inhale absurd amounts of copium before I utter the words "I regret this character"
my copium supply flew out the window after wanderer kept getting flung by hilichurls and then couldnt hit them because he was too high

I’m an honorary f2p (2 wekins and 1 bp for 2 years of playing) and I’ve reached a point where I have enough characters that I can’t cope some newer units I saved for because they stop bringing value to my account
I'm also f2p but i have one regret, itto. I can't farm him as of now, i don't like his design that much, and i didn't even wanted him when i pulled for him, i literally just pulled cause i liked getting characters but i didn't want him (i was dumb, ik) i'll probably use him more someday though, he is my only five star rn (i'm saving up wisely) and i do like him a bit more now...

Best feeling is pulling for a character and kinda feeling like it was a mistake, forgetting about them for a while, and then randomly discovering how fun they are for certain tasks!

Finally someone else who doesnt hate ayaka sprint. Its good for exploration and can even make her walk on water forever. Not only that but it also gives her the same speed as tall male characters which are the fastest. Plus its still good in combat you just need to get used to it..
Ngl, I used to hate it, but now I enjoy it a lot, especially after the sumeru update which made her and mona dash much better.
I always switch to Mona when I have to sprint, shame I don't want Ayaka
I can understand why people wouldn’t like Ayaka for her sprint since before they fixed the dash for her and Mona, getting stuck at the small edges was really annoying and I’m a Ayaka main. 😂
I love the sprint, the fact that it can give her cryo infusion in battle is so good and if you can manage correctly, it will not deplete her stamina much while fighting. I started playing during Kazuha release which was right before Ayaka, so she was my first proper dps character, and I still main her. Though I can understand if people don't like it, but I personally do.
I LOVE Ayaka sprint!! I don’t love Mona’s as much, and I don’t know why, but Ayaka sprint is super fun.
I personally don't regret pulling for any of my characters. I've grown to love each and every one of them.

Same, i avoided too much building pity in banners with 5* i don't want, so i don't regret any of my characters, just cyno probably, and still i'm happy to have him in my account

Albedo… he is the only character I regret pulling. Just because of his limited bis sword that I didn’t even have a chance to get. The damage difference between HoD and cinnabar sword is so huge. I mean, having a character and knowing you will never get his full potential is heartbreaking.
When they put cinnabar sword in Albedo’s trial I thought they will make a way to get old event weapons, but it was just a copium 🥺
I use him, but I too regret... regret no playing since day one, Albedo is great 😕 no Cinnabar for me 😕
This!!! This makes me so sad. I believe he and Klee are the only 5 star characters without their own 5 star signature weapons. I guess you can count lost prayers and summit shaper but neither of those are optimal for the characters themselves.
@@mars9986They really feel like standard 5* characters honestly… And I highly doubt the developers will ever make a 5 star sword for Albedo, just because the Cinnabar Spindle is an incredibly strong weapon for him. But even if they do make a 5 star sword for him, its value to the account will be very low (if they put defense as the main characteristic). Plus, you'd have to spend 70 wishes, if not 210, just to have your Albedo deal damage as the Albedo of the old players who managed to get the Cinnabar Spindle. Sad
I got him on his first banner, still am salty about the fact that I took a break and missed his weapon !
@@yumirow7487 what a shame they can’t do a shop or something where you can buy old weapons. I mean there are a lot of event weapons that are just ok at the most. You can use them if you want, but they’re rarely the best in slot. But in Albedo’s situation there are just no alternatives except HoD. You can get the Catch, even though it’s an event weapon, so what’s the problem? Even if the cost of Cinnabar Spindle is star glitter, it’s still better then having no chance to get it at all.

I mean like overall cyno is not rlly a bad character overall...like there are better options for everything cyno does and his playstyle is not that fun but overall...not a bad character
@@chaitalibakshi9862 it's all dawn to comparison, Cyno get outdpsed by keqing, just because he cant maintain 100% uptime of anemo buffs and oz and on top of that w\o interruption resistance NA spaming driver/carry just feels bad.
I personally skipped cyno, but got planty of time to play him on my friend cyno simp acc (c2r1 cyno with 32 rolls set), and... he just was worse than my c0 keqing even after i mastered his TF rotation.
hech with 100% oz uptime and kazuha buff uptime, even c6 dori could compete with cyno aggravate team dps.
Yeps, Cyno is underrated character because he is not good with quickswap team (didn't stop me from using him in a quickswap playstyle with Yelan tho lmaoo)

Only character I regret is klee, she's still level 50 and I was already a yanfei main before pulling her. One character I started to regret was Cyno, but now the only thing I regret doing is not getting his weapon, I love him soooo much

I've started prioritising characters I like the playstyle of over meta characters. I don't really regret building big dps numbers but I really enjoy quickstyle swap reaction combos. My fav team rn is ayato tighnari fischl and kokomi :)
Me with my ayato kokomi nahida raiden team, i have all the big dps ones (morgana, national, hu tao vape) but I still choose the ones I love to play more and still 36* spiral abyss 🤔

@@joenkotazuna9453 a electro/hydro/dendro core honestly works with whoever you place, ayato & tighnari work especially well because unlike other hydros ayato can apply hydro off field while also filling tighnari's downtime.

The second reason to not like Xiao is kind of a skill issue tbh, but I understand that. Not everyone wants to plan where to push enemies and obviously everyone has their preferences. I mean my favorite character to play is Diluc lmao he's not everyone's cup of tea
I love diluc too, his bird so damnn satisfying everytime I play it
Diluc is arguably one of the easiest dps to learn lol he's so good for newbies, that's why I like him
My only issue with Diluc was that when I finally got him, I already had a maxed out C1 Hu Tao with 4pc Shimenawa.
Him being mediocre compared to his competitors, plus CW isn't exactly the most appealing domain do not help. But now that I've got C1 Batman, I suppose I can try him out 2pc/2pc atk%
@@Nyangorou1 2p EM is better than ATK. Use an EM Sands as well. Issue with Diluc is without CW he's even worse than people make him out to be lol
@@Nyangorou1 You don't even really need to farm for Crimson Witch anymore. Just farm for a different character, then any trash you get, dump it into the Crimson Witch Strongbox.

at c0 yeah i'd argue a lot of characters are way more fun to play than Hu Tao lol
Imagine if MYH gave us balance patches to fix the messes they keep releasing in clearly unfinished states. I.e Klee or Dori. Would be great to see them on the saem level as other characters.
Nah they'll just release new 4*s that "buff" them but only after hundreds of dollars to get C6.
Their idea of an F2P buff is a new barely better artifact set that takes several patches to farm! They're so greedy it's unbelievable. They shouldn't need direct monetary incentive to buff old units

i only pull when i like the character, so it saves me from having this list. the only limited character who sort of falls in this list is klee, who i got from a guarantee at 1.0 because i didn't know how the pity system works. still, i think she's really fun to play. i actually only built her a year after i got her. i bring her to abyss every now and then to challenge myself
Same, I have only 8 limited 5* characters (I've been playing since launch) and I don't ever regret pulling because I only do it for the ones I really love, most of the characters are easy skips for me
@@leozyxs i have 7 limited 5* and playing since launch. all except klee are 3x crowned (alhaitham will soon join the party). my never winning 50/50s and choice of pulling kinda go hand-in-hand lol

ngl, I almost got Haran for Ayaka because I found her dashing + NA + CA way more fun than her burst and I hated using her burst, especially when it missed.

@@lstsoul4376 i did this exact thing with kazuha/sucrose AND I still missed! i don't know, her burst is just kinda hard to control (+ I suck at playing her) and the enemies can still get out of the burst area so...
Cyno being the most regretable character from the community hurts me as a Cyno main. Did they not use him with nahida? He is insanely strong in quickbloom, he is meta in CN server too.
The problem is.. They are so blinded that they deny he's actually strong

For me it’s the fact that he’s so energy dependent.
Like I have Cyno and AlHaitham, who both use arguably similar teams, but I’d rather use alhaitham because his elemental infusion isn’t tied to permanently active burst up. I just hate the feeling of running around waiting to have burst up to do anything. Could be my skill issue, but it really makes me want to play other characters instead.
That’s the biggest reason for me because I keep switching between characters like Ayato wanderer and alhaitham all the time. I love my husbandos 😅
I mean Nahida wasn't out when he released and it's not like Nahida is particularly good or fun with him anyway against anything but bosses because his burst lasts so long and doesn't let you switch so you can't mark any new enemies with her.
His anti-synergy with Nahida is one of his biggest issues and one of the main things that they'll hopefully fix
@@sagearbor9414 Alhaitham is sorta burst dependant if you play him in spread because you want to maintain 3 mirrors for max damage
@@sagearbor9414 Not really an issue with electro res and fav on kuki if needed. I have 100% uptime with 122% er (thundering fury)
I regretted pulling Miko in her first banner. But dendro made her a bit better but the energy cost sucks especially since her skill doesn’t give her energy.
I don't have regrets because I'm the type of person who only pulls for a character if I like them. Really saves me the trouble of having a list of characters I regret pulling for.
Samee, I tried my best to pull a character only after the reviews are in and deciding that their gameplay is compatible with me. I mean-- as an f2p, you can't afford regretting a character X'D
I kind of regretted Ayaka for a while, I pulled her bc I needed a strong Cryo, but I ended up using Kokomi and Venti way more and with Dendro Cryo is even less important, but tbh her skin has made up for it, now I'm trying out some stuff with Layla.
The only character I kind of regret is Hu Tao, I should have skipped because I had no clue Eula, one of my favourite chracters, was rerunning next, but I feel like I wouildn't have regretted her as much in a different circumstance. With Mika around the corner Eula is gonna get a rerun for sure (like I really hope so it's been a long while), so at least it will be over. I kind of disagree with Eula being formulaic, I don't enjoy Itto in the trials but for Eula from what i know there are different ways to play around your burst, you can swap and release it earlier if you feel like the rotation is getting longer and you don't need as many damage, in trials I've done I hate Itto but I enjoy Eula much more (I even prefer Noelle to Itto playstyle wise Itto just has the worst playstyle for my preferences even if I love his character, I would really have regretted pulling him if I ever did).

Eula will more than likely be on the 3.5 banner. The only way I see that not happening is if there's razor too in the 4*, but honestly he has appeared not that long ago
I have prepared SO MUCH for Eula. She will have a Mika, a Raiden, and a c6 Rosaria, and a WGS, and a couple of my best artifacts on set. I’m so sad I couldn’t get her last time… I lost to Mona at 83…
And hey! We have the same opinion on Noelle! Cursed though that Gorou is always running w Itto. I feel like I’ll never get c6 Gorou at this rate..:
im so happy mika is coming to genshin because eula was left in the dust as other dps units got more and more utility. its sad the last ever eula buff we got was raiden shogun and since then it was just a downhill, i am for sure pulling her if she comes back in 3.5

@@alguien908 I already *have* Itto (a 20 pity accident when I was going for Gorou cons). My Gorou is only c1. I need MORE but I don’t want Itto cons… he’s a waste of a 5star as it is on my account
Always very happy to enjoy the evening with your uploads. Highly agree with Dori too, I actually had a pretty good anticipation that it might be a good alternative to Kuki (I didn't have her at that time) and ended up into a pretty strong disappointment. As much as I don't personally enjoy claymore users, having Dori was pretty bad for me :'))
If there's one character I regret getting it would be Nilou on my old account.I don't hate Nilou at all but I do wish I pulled for Albedo on his banner instead since I mained Klee on that account and and thought it would be wholesome for klee to have her brother with her.

I don't think I'll ever regret pulling for a character because the only characters I really pull for are ones that I kinda want regardless of how much I think I'd play them. I got Nahida because she's adorable (knowing I'd barely play her), I got Wanderer because I like his character arc and his voice lines sometimes make me laugh ("quit following me!"), and I got Xiao recently because the chasm archon quest made me emotionally invested in him and he has my favorite character design in the game, but I honestly didn't think I'd play him much! his gameplay took some getting used to but now I find myself crashing random hilichurl camps for no reason just to play him for a liiiiiittle longer every day lol (my ability to build characters is, frankly, embarrassing so spiral abyss is out of the question). I also only pulled for Layla because she's starry and pretty, and I plan to pull for Mika just because I think he's the cutest thing. my account is basically just a gallery of characters I like looking at lol
The only character I "regret" pulling is Ganyu in 2.4, not because she's bad or I don't like her, but because I realise that her synergy with the characters I had at the time is not so great. The only Ganyu team I could play was Melt with Bennet, Xiangling, and Diona, and this wasn't so great when I needed Bennet and Xiangling in the other half of the Abyss. I think it would've been better to pull for Zhongli at the time.
Pair her with nahida and proc burning for constant melt reaction. And nahida provides em to further enhance your melt.
Yea this is my consideration when pulling for characters, whether they synergize well with my existing characters or not. Like for example my 2nd account have Ganyu, Mona, and Childe; in which I wanted to make a Morgana and (Inter)national team. Considering this, even a highly valued 5*s like Raiden and Yelan would bring little value to this account which is why I skipped them and waited for Kazuha instead (bcs I lost 50/50 during Venti rerun)
i have different problem i pull for both in 2.3 but now i regret pulling for zhongli because he to op broken and ganyu is flexible can be dps and support , ganyu and ayato is fun combo
:0 The first person who also kinda regretted pulling for Ayaka!! I don't particularly know why I regret pulling for her, I just find her to be a bit annoying. Not sure if it's personality-wise or playstyle-wise. She just gave me the same ick that Itto did.

Def her personality, to me shes the worst character (personality-wise) in the whole game, shes just so lame, boring and plain that i find her extremely annoying

5:37 Acording to theory crafters Yanfei is INDEED stronger than Klee ! Although she's only about a 5% DPS increase , Yanfei is so much smoother to play than Klee , and thanks to being a 4 star you can get her cons way more easily , her C4 even allowing her to become a pretty good shielder
I also wish for everyone, but characters I rarely use are Eula, Shenhe, Albedo, Zhongli (yes Zhongli) and Klee

@@Kam1_9 probably because albedo while a good character can be replaced in many teams he fits in (beside mono geo), same thing with zhongli. As much as his shield is busted he doesn’t grant you that much more damage beside decreasing elemental resistance of enemies, he’s mainly a comfort pick and not a big damage pick.
I don't know if we have the same reason but I also benched my Zhongli. Zhongli is indeed a comfort in life but at some point I couldn't make a team without Zhongli in it. I have a Bennett but not getting interrupted during your attacks was such a great feature that zhongli does. I decided to bench him cause it felt like I was relying too much on that comfort. After I did that, it opened my teams to a lot more characters.
The problem now though is, if before I can't make a team without Zhongli, now I can't put Zhongli on a team. One thing I realized once I dropped Zhongli is I like reactions more than a standard DPS doing most of the work.
@@Kam1_9 I mainly play teams with a lot of reactions and geo just doesnt fit there and I just prefer Healers over shielders. Like sure, Zhongli can give some res sredd, but Kokomi can provide way more than enough healing while also being able to apply a lot of hydro and be played on field without needing a seperate build

I don’t really regret Ayaka but she is the only character who’s dmg I have that has dmg that I wish wasn’t surrounded around her burst
I'm suffering through using Dori because I've never picked up a Shinobu. But trust, the second she appears on a banner next, I am wishing a million times, haha.
Kuki is the fire of my heart, I've built her with EM as "nice reactor that also heals", and then Dendro came out.
Guide videos often say that Albedo can fit into any team if you don’t know who the last member should be. For me, he almost only exist in mono geo. Outside of mono geo, he’s mainly there to take the spotlight from the main dps. He can also buff EM but I’d rather use Sucrose for that, who I don’t even touch nowadays
To everyone that really regrets a character, I hope one day a character you really like comes along and the character you regret ends up filling a perfect spot on a team with that character. The game is not complete yet!

So about Dori, her electro self-infusion is quite meaningful for kazuha/sayu's swirl in teams where Nahida yeet away all the electro w/ her dendro app. She's definitely useful in Yae/Kazuha/Nahida team to battery Yae without sacrificing survivability and whatnot.
dori and alhaitham is very good combo. dori can heal, trigger seeds and apply electro for spread. plus, she regens alhaitham burst while he doing his things and doesn fight him for em sword like kuki
Dori is bad, she have no weapon 5* decent for her kit!
Alhaitham is very good the most broken, learning at how he does, he is busted!
Look up Dori freeze hyperbloom, that cursed team is low-key amazing.
I got Yae originally because my best friend got her,ended up loving her completely,kokomi came out of nowhere and now she's in any team i make,cyno same,both him and kokomi came at super low pity and won the 50/50's,cyno was bound to stay low invested but then i got his polearm and he is just so strong,and like 3 days ago alhaitam came out of my wish number 20 and well,happy

Meanwhile I love Eula for being braindead straightforward for when I have to play on a phone and aiming with my Ganyu becomes annoying, lmao.
I love hypercarries like Itto, Eula, Xiao, etc. But my only regret is Wanderer. I wish his blue stamina would deplete much slower when you dash or elevates. Also his damage is so underwhelming without C6 faruzan or C4 jean.

I've used to regret my Xiao, but recently i got a Jape spear from the standard banner and the release of Faruzan too made him more interesting to use again
Ayaka is honestly one of the few characters I’m just not interested in getting at all. Probably one of the last characters I’ll ever get whenever I do get around to pulling for her
It hits different when you try to build supports around the character that you pull rather than pulling for characters hoping they would work with typical supports like Bennett, Xiangling, Xingqiu,...
I too love Ayaka and Mona sprint. I personally want a pyro with one of these sprints because it would be fun to just set fire to the grass
I think I have "summoner's remorse" because a lot of characters are left unused until some rare event when I decide to pull them out. I've even stopped trying to build everyone because so many just end up collecting dust...that and artifacts can burn. Honestly, I feel bad about it too.
Ayaka is my biggest regret. She’s just boring. I also kinda regret Zhongli tbh. Pulling Zhongli is like smoking for the first time. Now I’m addicted to him.
You mean her character or her play style? I find the latter fine, but she feels like an overly generic traditional housewife waifu. Her visual design is good though.
Uggh same, I pull on Zhongli's banner simply because I like his character, little did I know I will be addicted to putting him on my team 😩

Agree about ayaka burst. Have you seen it in beta? It looked like she released an invisible shadow clone who went on a rampage with its blade, no clue why they changed that.
No regrets for any characters tbh because I have a rotating main team so I always use different characters to keep things free. The closest thing I have to a regret is tartaglia since I got him while trying to get rosaria but I still use him occasionally especially when up against mobs.
Lol I didn't like his playstyle when I tested him so didn't want him and I got him going for Rosaria. That's when I learned how dangerous chasing a 4* can be and how it can be tougher than getting a 5*. Took a break from the game but since being back I do want to eventually build him and give him a serious try.
I regret yoimiya. She wastes a lot of time killing enemies unless she needs a higher investment
Yaoyao really saved Cyno for me. He was benched for so long and suddendly I can't go out without him anymore
I haven't pulled much at all since I only joined fairly recently, I don't really have any regrets so far but I do sometimes with Wanderer

Eula is one of the characters i would love to pull since i like her personality but i might not pull her because i am not a huge fan of physical.
Totally unrelated, but I have never realized that you can break that wall at 8:39, I always crawled through the small cracks when farming those guys :D

i don't regret getting dcaramouche even though he's benched and unbuilt. he helps me with exploration and getting to areas i couldnt have got to before (because no kazuha or venti)

I don't even need to refarm for the new set (although I am trying, but I really don't want to farm for another year again, plus I have other characters to raise)

Mona-Ayaka dash is best for dodging. It consumes less stamina and you can do it multiple times. You can just slams the button multiple times and even you can dodge the raiden shogun attacks
Hmm... Stiiill gonna be pulling for Ayaka. Gave in using my Welkin currency for her Fontaine outfit, likewise have a soft spot for gimmicky mobility (hey, Kazoo pogo!), and here's a reason for ya: I still don't have a character who can double my weapon material synthesis. Skipped Alhaitham, but I have some catching up to do now that I've jumped up to AR56/WL7.
Agree with #1. I have Cyno -- who I don't use -- because I was collecting the 4-stars. I don't have Dori at C6, but I did wreck my pity to get her and it absolutely wasn't worth it.
While I enjoy playing Cyno, I kinda regret getting him because I feel like I will end up replacing his team in abyss and that his actually strong team is one I don't like
As for Dori I find that I actually use her on an aggravate team and for a very specific reason. To help understand the why let me explain another team and a problem in it. I had played an aggravate team of c4 Yae Miko, C2 Nahida, C0 Kazuha, C6 Fischl. Now with both Yae Miko and Fischl both applying electro Nahida keeps clearing it off what feels like every second from the enemy and that makes getting electro swirl on Kazuha really iffy. I found a way to get around this problem by swapping Fischl out for Dori. Sure I lose Fischl DPS but compared to the monsters of Yae Miko and Nahida on the team it really didn't feel like I was losing much of the overall party DPS. Dori's burst when down applies electro to the active character and Kazuha can use that to swirl with even if Nahida refuses to allow electro to stay on enemy. So basically trading Fischl for Dori is a change to make the rotation easier and adds the comfort of heals at the cost of a little bit of party DPS.
If Yae Miko and Nahida were both c0 with f2p weapons then Fischl's contribution to party damage would be a much higher percentage but with how strong they are really out classes whatever Fischl can bring. Also I did give Dori a budget build, I gave her artifacts I already had so I didn't farm for them and I only leveled her to 80 and leveled her burst only to lv8. My Dori gets her burst back in seconds and reliably has it ready on CD with such a budget build. I was using her at C0 for all this as I just got the free one from a past event and I didn't dump any wishes in her. I have zero regrets on my Dori. I did get her c1 from a free wish on standard so that is just more reliability to activate sacraficial greatsword ability.

I have C6 Klee. If there is any regrets, it's that Mihoyo made her relatively weak and refuses to at least make her burst stay active while she switches out.
Nilou... At first. Bloom was a new reaction at the time, and I just wasn't used to getting a delayed dmg. Used to be, when I click... something dies, or gets damaged. It's almost tactile.
With Nilou, you just had to let her 3x E out and wait for your dendro teammates to create reactions and your driver to create more. It's not the most engaging.
Then Nahida came out, and I still built my Nilou, because I wasn't satisfied. Now, at 57khp, and EM focus besides, she's always been in my abyss team since getting her built. Same with my Itto, I just built him and now, there's no regrets. Turns out, you just gotta build them, and because of the unlocked potential, (and the time investment you put in) you WILL love them. Lol. because that build? That's your baby.

I don't really regret pulling any character, the closest I can think is Childe and it's not cause I hate his kit, no I like it, it's just that I have too many build projects going on right now that he keeps getting pushed down the list to get finished, collecting dust and I kinda regret getting him to not use for lord knows how long.
Eula and Ayaka rock. Dori mains in co-op make me sad. I don’t regret anyone but I really never ever use Shenhe, Scaramouche, or Xiao.

Put Xiao on VV full EM (just steal your best VV set) and Favonius Polarm, Put Xingqiu on Emblem, Dendro on deep wood, Fischl on Thundering Fury
Xingqiu burst, E, E, Dendro MC burst, E, Fischl burst, Xiao burst, normal attacks and skill spam. Stay near OZ. It's a hyperbloom team where you use electro swirled to activate hyperbloom

for me it's definitely hutao and to a lesser extent childe and raiden. Hutao got replaced almost immediately for a multitude of reasons, childe and raiden slowly drifted into the background because I would rather play other teams. I've been playing since release and it's getting increasingly harder to justify getting new characters because I don't wanna stop using my old characters that I *still* like a lot.
edit because of comments: Hutao (C0 with deathmatch) mostly got replaced by childe + xiangling vape and ganyu + venti centric teams. Both of them cleared 1.x content as fast or faster while being a lot more fun to play. At the same time these teams were also way less invested than my hutao team, which are the main reasons just stopped using her. By the time inazuma came and more single target/melee cleave oriented abyss chambers got released I tried using her again, but by then the difference was even bigger because I didn't keep investing more into her due to focusing on other new teams. And now I am at an investment level with the characters I actually use that it really doesn't matter much what team I play. Right now I mostly play yae + tighnari in aggravate, nilou bloom, itto geo (finally got c6 gorou) and mono anemo quickswap and occasionally whip out raiden and childes teams. All of those are more enjoyable than hutao ever was while also clearing the current chambers quickly.
Also stoped using dps raiden,but full em raiden in hyperbloom so comfortable to use now

The only way Hu Tao got replaced is with a stronger Hyperbloom team with minimum investment, or simply because you don't like playing her.
The only other reason is maybe you got Yoimiya who is weaker but easier to play
What you said about xaio is true there was a domain in sumeru that creates a vortex that suck enemies if you do plunge attack and that made me clear the domain in seconds even though my xaio was not well built .. maybe they don’t want to do it since in his c6 you won’t be doing much plunging unless I’m single target
Well. Im very picky when it comes to pulling new characters. I think the only character i regret pulling is Childe (mr cooldown). But to be fair i never really wanted him, just wanted to try the act of "pulling". Also Albedo, but again, i pulled for Bennett Sucrose and Fischl. So Albedo was an acceptable collateral damage:)
Ganyu. The idea that I have to play around her charged attack feels so tedious. And this says a lot when I main klee, but at least you can aid her "clunkiness" with cancels and positioning. Also, Eula just because physical feels like a fossil of a concept.

I briefly regret pulling for characters, when, cuz of my inability to save primos, I don't have enough for everyone. In 2.5 I regretted pulling for Yae, cuz I lost 50/50 on Raiden, but could've had enough primos (but I grew to love Yae so much), then in 2.8 after pulling for Yoimiya I thought I won't have enough primos for Kokomi (I got her and both are irreplaceable now). Other than that, I'm happy with every 5* I have
Upd. But when it comes to 4*... I collect most of them just for collection, without even thinking to build them, but there was one I kinda regret pulling - C0 Faruzan. The following happened: I lost 50/50 on Tartaglia's banner and wanted to save 100% guarantee for Raiden. At the same time, I was waiting for both Wanderer and Faruzan, but I needed to look at test run to fully decided is I'll roll for Wanderer or not. So, when it was out, I understood that Scara is not my character, so I didn't want him, but wanted Faruzan for Heizou. I got multiple heart attacks while trying to get her. However... I don't use her and mostly use Heizou with Kazuha. Faruzan's energy problems are horrid, I gave her ER% sands and R5 Favonius, but it still feels like I greatly lack energy. I was so excited for her...
Your view on Ayaka is almost identical to mine. I like her dash and CA, as well as the free cryo infusion. But the rest of her kit feels uninspiring.
Making sure i dont regret my next pulls: Should i go for yelan or skip and save for nahida? (currently on 50/50 and my luck sucks)

If you really want nahida (which it seems you do since youre considering saving for her rerun) id say go for nahida. Yelan is a really good hydro applicator but xingqiu works just fine, and even if yelan doesnt re run again for a while i bet we will get some new good hydro applicators with the release of fontaine
prioritize getting the character youre excited to play, video games are for enjoyment after all
Dunno why people hate on Ayaka's dodge because when I use her I never have to because everything is perma frozen or dead.
The one character that I regret spending time and resources on is, weirdly enough, Ayato. I mained him for a bit but the second I got him friendship Level 10, I never touched him again. Even a benched character like Itto I’ll play with every now and then, but never Ayato. His play of just standing there holding his attack just got real stale real fast. I could never really find a way to make him fun for me. But other than that, absolutely no regrets with anyone else.
I remember co op ing during klee's first rerun, and everyone was saying she was the strongest character. How things have changed
I don't regret having someone particularly. I only pull who I want. The only regret is have to skip rerun whoever I wanted for the new/next character I also want.
Eula is the only character I regret pulling. At the time Raiden was my only 5* limited character and I needed anything I could use to help me with the abyss. People said she's good with Raiden so I went for it. In the end I found her gameplay and aesthetic too boring so I almost never used her...
I regret pulling Yae Miko, I had her BiS. I simped for her the moment I saw her but after I got her something about her feels off. I tried to make her work, put Fischl on her, do Aggravate, do Benny, do Hyperbloom. I still feel unsatisfied. I then realized that I like being interactive in battle, that’s why I like Ningguang and Ayaka cuz I need to keep clicking buttons. Though you could do NA Yae Miko, Ningguang’s NA is still more fun and has gimmicks to it. On the side note, I also feel the same way with Venti. I kinda regret him cuz I cant make him work on chonky enemies but the moment you need him, he feels worth every hours of my chest hunting. Also, I thought I regretted pulling for Nilou but she made abyss a child’s play and her cutscene in Samsara is 🤌 lol.
While not an owner of all characters i regret pulling eula right now:
, i pulled her when i was still new to the game and didn't know anything, i pulled her just because of her autos, i didn't even need to know her burst i played her in trial her autos seemed really fun and as someone that was playing physical kaeya at the time and also physical razor eula felt like a perfect fit, and my past self loved eula.... and then inazuma came out.
Not only did i get ayaka, i got incredibly lucky and got c2 raiden while trying to get c4 xiangling (about 70 pulls total with carry over 50 pity from ayaka banner), but also enemies just countered her, you had enemies that would be mobile and not let you attack them like rifthounds especially electro ones (because you carried electro on you so they were always enraged), you had the rise of PMA that meant i did less physical damage and most importantly I as a player changed, i started liking different teams i started liking using taser, reverse melt, freeze, i stopped playing eula even before dendro came out, now that it's out i have even less of a reason to play her. and it makes me sad but somewhat nostalgic to think back about eula but i don't think i want to go back to her. she was a character that helped me get 681k crit in 1 single strike, and while i can't beat that right now i can see myself being able to in the future.
Characters I regret.. Itto (I thought he was fun but never built him and im not the biggest fan of geo, and honestly I just wanted to be taller than my friend in-game who also got him), Xiao (never built him and dont use him), Ganyu (same reason). Now I would say Tighnari, Mona, Keqing, Diluc and Jean but technically most of those were 50/50s so I cant regret them. I also kind of regret Albedo, tho he does have a build (despite his low crit rate). And finally, I regret getting Wanderer. I loved his story, personality and design so much I just had to get him only to discover I dont really like his gameplay, especially since if you don't have a shield combat in air can be difficult, and I have Sucrose. Yes I made Sucrose a DPS because shes my favorite along with Wanderer (lore wise ofc) and I love her gameplay.

I also used to regret "pulling" for Ayaka, but it's a different story.
My account got hacked during the extended period of Ayaka's rerun back in 2.6 all the way to mid 2.7, and my hacker got her alongside c1 Diluc. After I got my account back, I used to always look at her with anger because she basically stole my savings for Baizhu. I would throw her off the sky nail on dragonspine a few times, let her succumb to the cold climate, let her burn next to the fire flower, etc. But after 2 weeks living in denial, I started to think that I should've been mad at the hacker and not the character, and hey I basically completed the Yashiro commision comp because I also happen to have Ayato and Thoma. Gradually, I started to warm up to her, and after another few days I've finally convinced myself to properly build her.
Now I'm a proud Kamisato siblings haver, and using them both in the same team is one of the best things I've ever done.

I definitely regret Eula and going for her c1 and signature weapon, and I regret pulling Childe though it was mostly for a joke anyways. The boy stays at level 69 until the kills enough stuff to level up.
The only “regrets” i have are when I pull a character/weapon but then a another character/weapons I want comes along afterwards. Soon the banners pass and I don’t get what I want but my hype and excitement have died down and I don’t really have any regrets. Even though there are some characters I don’t use anymore, I’m just glad I got them cuz I just like collecting stuff. Plus, there will always be reruns. Good weapons and characters are now getting stuffed close together so I’m pretty sure everyone “regrets” pulling something.

I think Nahida and Kokomi alone are already the premium version of Nilou's teammates, and you even slot anyone into the last slot (Hydro or Dendro ofc), but I know how you feel, it fells something is still missing.
There's no shielder and grouper, though at least Yelan's E can group small enemies and Xingqiu's Rainswords has dmg reduction
She does pretty much exactly one thing (Extreme AoE damage) and that's kind of it really. I have her double crowned but rarely use her since her kit is so niche that you'd only ever want to use her once in a blue moon.
i regret doing a 10-pull when approaching pity on raidens banner lmao… i accidentally got one raiden at 80 pity and her c1 in one multi and I regret not doing singles because I could’ve gotten alhaitham…
The only regret 5* character I have is diluc who is c1 ... All my other limited 5* are perfect for me . Given that I am very lucky with my summons and a c2 nahida that came out of nowhere .(Kazuha, Ayaka,Yoimiya ,Raiden,Yelan and kokomi have been very useful and my team options are many so I don't get bored of them ☺️👍🏼) My next target is yelans bow with 160 pulls saved up for it next is probably dehya if she gets a decent buff or eula/shenhe.

I never pulled for any of the characters you regretted. I do not regrett pulling on any characters except maybe Itto who was an accidental pull.
I think the only character that I felt bad pulling for was Childe but not because of his gameplay, I got mad at him at some point but I don't remember why 😂 I used him in the abyss for a very long time and he was my strongest character at the moment and actually enjoyed his gameplay...
Till Ayato and Itto came around lol. I replaced him immediately and now, I can't stand his gameplay anymore (again, not because his cooldown) It's because Ayato has some interruption resistance and Childe can be juggled around quite easily if hit 😅
