Gr. Kim: You did a great job on the THORN. I lived on Guam for almost two years. It is amazing to now go to TH-cam and see how much the island has changed and the growth of the population. I am learning a lot from your videos.

What an absolute Saint you are. The relief of having that thorn removed must have been wonderful. I seriously have the greatest respect for you Dr. both for your exceptional skill as well as your joyful and positive spirit. I know if I had access to your genuine care and compassion as well as your support and encouragement I would feel confident I was receiving the best possible Medical Care possible. I got so caught up in my feelings I almost forgot to say thorn. LOL 🥀

A question- is that point on the Nail Plate damaged? Will a new nail grow out straight and attached?😢

When I was 12 I was playing in the yard. There was a stick in the grass that I tripped over. I looked, no broken skin, but a bruise. Through out the year the top of my foot where the stick hit me would swell up then go down. It didn't cause any other trouble. So exactly a year later it swelled up again and I think this time it hurt. So my mom took me to the doctor. She was worried about it being cancer. At that time cancer was just barely penetrating the horizon. The doctor cut into my foot and he saw the lump in there and he pulled out an inch piece of stick. Who knew with no broken skin. The stick had some nerves wrapped around it as well as tissue. I am 65 and still have a bit of a noticeable scar. Wasn't a thorn, but was exciting nonetheless.

As a kid I got a long thorn from a Hawthorn bush stuck in my upper arm, or so I thought, I poked prodded and used scalpels and never got it out. This went on for years I would open up the skin dig around not find anything then give up and it would heal over. It was not until my last attempt I realised there was no thorn in my arm just a black mark where the thorn had tattooed my skin.

I'm wondering. When you put tge tourniquet on, Is that because you numb the toe on both side and where expecting a more invasive procedure with bleeding? It just looked easy. Perhaps it just turned out easier than expected?

You are such a wonderful man. Have a beautiful black Labrador and unfortunately I have a terrible problem with blackberry bushes that keep growing back every time I cut them. He often will get one of these thorns in his paw and they are so difficult to find. This may prove to be very helpful in the future. There's nothing worse than when your best buddy is that uncomfortable. Blessings.

I can't believe Dr Kim didn't use the correct tool to grab and remove thorn, he continued to use forceps which pushed the thorn back in toe. Not only this but when he finally removed thorn he managed to let the thorn spring away. Good luck letting this person work on you. He canny be a doctor don't know one doctor that something like this could or would happen.

I watch these videos to try and make myself not so squeamish when it comes to procedures of the toenails. When I was a child, I was swinging a closet door back and forth, and one time it caught one of my toenails and ripped it right off. It didn't hurt at all, but I think that had something to do with my phobia. I went in with my teenage son to have his big toenail removed. I was trying not to watch as the doctor was injecting Lidocaine, and he was doing ok until all of a sudden both the doctor and nurse looked up at him, I stood up and looked at him and quickly wrapped my arm around his waist to keep him on the table because he was going stiff as a board and was headed towards the other side. Once he came back around, the doctor was already working on freeing the nail, and then I said I'd better sit back down, and both of them looked at me as all the color had drained from my face. By the time it was over, we were both fine, but there is just something about messing with toenails and fingernails that I can't handle.

Ok ok, so i am not trying to come off as ignorant, but what is a holistic for doctor? It makes me think that he uses twigs, berries, hay, and mud to treat (it's a joke) but real talk, i used to live in a very small town where the family practice Dr also seen animals (vet) and the chiropractor was the same. And some of the techniques were really old school BUT WORKED. Awesome video, though i don't know why I'm watching it. I hate feet
