People if you are scared of cost just go to the ER. You don’t have to pay upfront. Let the bill go to collections or negotiate the bill. Don’t lose your life over cost.

Some hospitals have a county card which pays for your care in certain Clinic. Even some Er has a special programs where your county pays your ER bill.

@@TroubleHarris I was hospitalized in 2005 for 6 days without insurance and a $10,000 bill for my stay. When I expressed my concerns about being able to pay as I was also unemployed, someone from the billing department told me to apply for "Charity Care", which was a fund of donations made to the hospital to help people with their bill. The application was short and a week later I found out that I would only be responsible for TEN PERCENT of my bill. Bills can always be negotiated. YOUR HEALTH MUST COME FIRST!

This toe definitely needs them huge granulomas removed! The bad tissue is so bad that if they weren't removed, the toe would look deformed. They would never heal and go away. They would just harden and look unsightly. I think the granulomas should be removed in all cases unless they are tiny. The one I had on my big toe was tiny. It wasn't removed, and it still made my toe look misshaped a little. ( I was a teenager when it was removed, so a long time ago. My parents were not informed it could be removed then.)

Not sure why you even have tourniquet there bc it’s not even doing any purpose. 2nd you would absolutely remove all that infected tissue. Then to not only not remove the whole nail but to not remove the enlarged tissue. There is no way that is all going to go away. The patient will be left with an enlarged toe which will make him more prone to ingrowns again.

I see a lot of people asking why did he wait so long? It is probably financial. Without health insurance, this procedure is expensive; he may not have had the money to take care of it. Specialists will not treat you if you don't have the money upfront to pay for the procedure if you have no insurance. It could be a multitude of reasons, but that is my guess.
But I definitely want to see a follow-up. I don't understand why not remove the entire nail if he wasn't going to use acid to kill the sie of the nails that he removed. I understand that there was a lot of blood and the acid probably would have been too diluted to work well. But that's also my point. Why not just remove the entire nail just to be safe? As far as the granulomas, I kind of understand why the doc didn't remove them. I think it would have been too much blood loss for an office procedure. But I highly doubt that they will calm down back to normal toe size. I think he should have scheduled to have them removed in the hospital. But I really want to see the follow-up of this toe. (Says the EXPERT podiatric surgery YT video watcher lol)

But the before and after was the funniest part. Before looks really really fucked up, after looks really fucked up. I don’t get how that would ever go away on its own just because the ingrown nail was removed.

1 he didn’t remove the whole toenail even though it looked like the middle part would fall off at the slightest touch
2 that large growth on the toenail isn’t going to “go away” it needs to be removed and reduced down so the toenail can heal properly.

@@kingrob9993 yeah. I mean it’s not a competition but teeth ear and face pain beats it all. And I have been through multiple surgeries removing large fibroid tumors. My appendix ruptured and I wait really long because I thought it was a cyst in my ovaries rupturing since I was on my period as well. So when I went to the hospital I had to have emergency surgery, I was cut open from upper stomach all the way down to the bottom of my stomach. I even went through septic shock, and had to stay in the hospital for a month.
After all that crap later on they found a small cyst in my brain pressing on the trigeminal nerve causing a neurological disease called Trigeminal neuralgia. Other wise known as the “suicide disease”. And I have 24/7 burning pain in my face and then I get waves of sharp pain like an ice pick going through my teeth or ears. At first I didn’t know something like that even existed. I assumed it was on of my back teeth from a bad root canal and just told the doctor to take it out. And the pain persisted. I went to an ear specialist and ENT. They told me to see a neurologist and that was when the gave me an mri. Unfortunately it a high risk surgery that many neurosurgeons are afraid to do. So many bad things can happen during a surgery like that. So I have to manage for now until I can find a better solution.

Y junto con varias otras, entre ellas las que toca el nervio trigémino, está entre las enfermedades más dolorosas. Los propios partos no son nada comparado con esos dolores.
