I really like your week-end tips and tricks. Found a Ragtime Annie sheet, a transcription by Austin Rodgers, from Bobby Kerns Collection. Not one single note, the whole song is in double stops. Tough. Very difficult for me to get good sound on both strings. I much like the song, and have 10 different versions of it.
That's so cool - I think it's a tune that gets overlooked a lot but it's really sweet and has certainly stood the test of time so it deserves some attention, right?
I was having troubles changing bow directions on Ragtime Anie. Can you show how to go to the next phrase using the down bow on the B note? I checked several videos on YT, can't find anyone that uses that bowing. Thank you for your videos, always pick something new up.
Like everything in fiddler this is much much harder than it looks.
No kidding, right??? It's such a small thing, but can be such a bugger. Keep at it - you'll get it!
Thank you, thank you! This has baffled me for so long.
It's trickier than it appears - happy to help!
You always know the trouble spots!
Always inspired by my students and the challenges they face. I try to pay attention. :)
I love these videos. Keep them coming!!!
You betcha!
