In this video I tried beating Terraria's as the bard class, which is a new class added by the thorium mod, that's centered around using musical instruments as weapons. And here's what happened.

The bard class is absolutely one of the most interesting classes in all of Terraria
Bard is such a cool class, it was my first modded class playthrough and I loved it ever since!

i just recently discovered this guy and... he is perfect. his editing is phenominal and funny, his content never gets old, and he is overall one of the best terraria youtubers i have ever watched. i cant believe this guy has so little subscribers. he deserves way more than he has.
Your videos are so fun. And great job playing with the bard class, I personally didn't mind the weapon changing mechanic a lot since you can do the same with summoner to swap whips to get bonuses but I understand how it could be kinda of annoying. Either way, great video and I'm excited to see whatever is next.
That very much feels like classic EverQuest bard. The most fun character I’ve ever played in any game. Having to switch between instruments to keep up several different buffs was awesome. Had hot keys for switching and everything. Good memories…
I have been waiting for this! Bijou’s editing and general skills have never failed to amaze me.
First: i LOVE the movie formats. Bingwatching for like 1-6 hours tmod is amazing.
Second: even for a long video, the editing dosent seem to wear out around the end! Very impressive. Subscribed! Also stardew valley movie when? It should better be 6 hours!
Quick tip for thunderbird, you can halt the birds charge and make an oppurtunity for massive damage if you hit it with a broadsword (regardless of damage type, healer has some broadswords) or swingable tool like a pickaxe.
These videos are getting TOO good, I'm going to have to charge you a fine for too much quality.

you are never a bard in thorium until you have an entire hotbar of different weapons that you must constantly cycle through to keep every buff going
The first time i played the Thorium mod, i went with the Bard Class, i love it so im so happy to see this vid drop.

Try the Polarities mod, it's super cool and it has a feature where you can get a special weapon for no-hitting a boss.

I recommend luiafk (though I think its name was changed when it got ported to 1.4). It does the same "infinite potion effects when you have 30 potions" thing, but you can combine infinite potions together in order to save inventory space

I find it fitting how the pet you farmed for is a reference to Persona 3's Orpheus, based on a figure from Greek mythos of the same name.
Orpheus was a Greek poet and musician, skilled with a lyre and wed to a beautiful nymph. On the day of their wedding, his dear wife died and Orpheus travelled to the underworld armed with only his lyre and his words in an attempt to rescue her. It is my favourite Greek myth, and I highly encouragd you to check it out if you haven't already!

Yesterday i saw this video and started my own playtrought, ill say i carried myself over and ended up playing 13h and almost got moonlord
the healer scaling post plantera is completely nuts, i played a 5 player expert thorium playthrough with friends as a healer and the fallen paladin armor gives way too much defense for a class that can access self healing weapons, i ran frozen turtle shell and all warding prefixes on my accessories with the fallen paladin armor and consistently had 120+ defense as a result and i was able to facetank anything that wasnt the final boss for the rest of the playthrough

I've played bard class ages ago. Back then it was the weakest (probably still is, idk) class out of all. Took the longest time to get any stuff, serious lack of end game stuff / progression. It made it so everything is more challenging, extremely so. I dont remember how many tries I did at the last boss(es). I notice the last boss in this vid has different attack patterns. Maybe its easier? Maybe its harder? It was so frustrating that I stop playing for months, came back do a bunch of retries, stop again. Came back (after they added a few more things including the rainbow stuff) and finally be able to beat the last boss. There were no timer-related stuff when I finally beat the boss. Both bard and healer are supposed to be support characters in multiplayer but for some unknown reason healer did better solo compared to bard.
May I ask what were you guys use for mining? Are those like some sort of bombs?
Im pretty sure theyre from thorium, called dynamite shurikens or bomb shurikens and are sold by the demolitionist
