I'm so glad people are realizing how nice painting chests are. Whenever I play vanilla its the only way I can organize my items. Also loving this series, so excited for more!!!
@@FARMBOT-4-LIFE I know! I do that too, usually my system is to use gold chests painted to show broader catagories like building blocks and then named chests to further organize. Also like wild said I'm a more visual person so I find color to be easier for my brain :D
Fun Fact: deerclops's hitbox doesnt cover his feet like very other enemy in terraria, so you can treat it similarly to Dont Starve, and kite his attacks by going through his legs. You WILL still bounce off if you shield dash into him, but if you have hermes boots, and dash from far enough away so as to not bounce, you can loop him and constantly attack without getting hit! Hope this helps someone!
It also attacks in a pattern, the first 2 attacks are basically the same and if you stay between his legs, he literally can't hit you. You need to run to his side on the third tho as it can hit you there too.
That is helpful, neat reference too. Thanks. My Deerclops arena tends to be a few rows of platforms ending at just above his head, so that method should work well there.
You know what's crazy, is that this series is still MASSIVE. Wild's videos always cheer me up when I'm feeling LOW. i hope this series never TAPERs away or my love for this channel might FADE

Thanks to you I'm like 50 hours in with barely Slime king and the Eye as the only bosses I've beaten, because I'm actually taking my time to learn and go slow, enjoying the game and making actual nice homes for the NPC's on their biomes.
I had some feels for this on my previous playthrough, with a main focus on making an underground arena with a full sprite mural, and an epic super-highway across the world. Fun stuff. Never bothered to go Hard Mode on it, I was satisfied enough lol.

For the glowing moss you only get 1 per world but once in hard mode if you put glowing moss in a chlorophyte extranctinator you can get more of the colours. If you put any glowing moss in a regular extractinator you get the other non glowing ones
Thank you so much for making this content, I know you’re not exclusive to Terraria, but watching this has generally brought out the Terrarian in me once again. I even started up a world with some of my siblings and really tried my best to do everything I can to experience true terraria like the good old days. Once again, thank you and keep up the good work, I would love to see more!!!!
Really enjoyed this episode as always! If you're looking for gems, I remember seeing an insane town-critter-hoik-shimmer-gem farm. It used town critter spawns underground to generate tons of gem critters and automatically hoike them into shimmer, which turns them into gems. Should be fully AFK-able too.
I found out the simpliest way to fight deerclops is without any arena, on the natural uneven surface. While he's struggling in one place in the corners, just spam attack his legs. Not the most exciting method, yeah, but effective nonetheless.
Man you have grown so fast. Remember first seeing your underrated items pt and loved that video. Really love how your taking your time on this playthrough.
You might be able to paint the moss any color if you use the deep paints, you can make them with any 2 regular paints at a dye vat. Also great video, I'm really loving this series and I really enjoy the way you build, you just kinda go for it and see how it turns out, that's what creativity is all about ^^
Awesome stuff If I remember correctly only one moss type spawns per world so you might need to go to other worlds not 100% sure tho Also little tip try shimmering moss
I ended up making a bunny farm that was a lot simpler, it was a platform you stand on with one above it, above that a shaft with a slight cliff in spawn range, with barriers on both sides above that which went past spawn range. You have to wait for the bunnies to fall off the cliff so its not as fast, but it works about the same. Also, general tip, these sorts of farms work well for worms, too. Get that golden worm!
I like how he went mediumcore mode instead of hardcore because of the trauma of the last series 😂 But also this siries kinda just REQUIRES dying Amazing vid btw
Nice build dawg, it really is nuts what can be done in vanilla. Some of the builds I've seen . . There are people that produce 3D builds out of Terraria's 2D engine, it's insane. All vanilla, just using different blocks, paints, hammered blocks, and actuators to create depth
This is a great series. I used to watch a lot of terraria content but it got a little old at some point. This manages to tap into that passion again. I may just start a new world of my own, when I have the time. Thanks for the great content :)
I really appreciate your builds in this series, they are seriously impressive! Small tip for regular houses: make the walls around 2 blocks thick, it makes them look better and can add more detail If you want to improve storage clarity even further I would recommend using different kinds od chests (made from marerials related to what's inside). Additionally you can name them using item IDs. The formula is [i:id_number], for exmple [i:757] will show up as Terra Blade Also, all kinds of moss can be harvested with a paint scraper although only the glowing variants can be turned into bricks. Don't forget you can also obtain helium moss by throwing any of the glowing ones into shimmer
i really like the approach, youre taking to the game, it makes me realize there is so much more to the game, than what is visible on the surface. thank you for making this classic feel completely new again. :)
I love your wacky but pratical, and just cool approach to Terraria, my favorite PC game of all time! Gotta say, the power of the Slope Arena is amazing! My brother saw me playing it on stream against various bosses and now loves it's Godly powers too lol! Also, thanks for the platform trick as far as vines/bamboo and other places I didn't think of to use them!
using non weapons to fight bosses is so underrated. like the destroyers worst enemy is dynamite. not the dedalus storm bow, not nimbus cloud, not vial shard, it's dynamite thrown on his starting possition when spawning hitting all segments at the same time with armor piercing 250 damage. thats 2k damage per dynamite in the best case by the way deerclops has no hitbox at all beneath him. you can just walk under him and he has no means of attacking you directly so all you need to do is to react when he does another attack and go the other way he is facing
32:55 you only get one type of glowing moss per world. (Lava, Krypton, Xenon, Argon and Neon) Also if you throw your glowing moss into shimmer you get helium moss which changes in colour.
Got inspired by this playthru so now i’m still pre-boss 1 week in just making statue farms and early game mob traps, it’s so much fun to work on tiny little projects every day
the treacherous desert backround walls didnt work because your player needs to be in front of a treacherous desert backround wall for it to actually count
yeah, after having done a skyblock world, i can confirm that some biomes are really weird in how they work. this rule also applies to the dungeon and temple. there may be one or two more biomes like this, but it's still such a weird condition only used for so few biomes
There are so many kinds of chests in this game that no one ever needs to bother with painting them. By the time you get the painter, you'll have at least five different kinds of chest in enough variety to keep a storage area with all your items nice and orderly. And that's if you care about keeping it orderly in the first place, which most people probably don't.
32:50 Only one of the three types of the special glowing moss generates in a given world, unfortunately. For some reason, only three out of the five types of regular moss generate in a given world as well. Though, maybe lava moss (generates in the deep cavern layer) or helium moss (made from throwing the special glowing mosses into shimmer) could do something for the build?
You can actually use glowing moss with the Chlorophyte Extractinator to get every moss variant! ...The _Chlorophyte_ Extractinator. This doesn't really solve much.
I see where the inspiration went too and I can't stop smiling! Fantastic build and I'm excited to see more!!! btw painted chests are just way to op, I've used painted chests for years now!! (funny side note, I started to kind of going ham building in space too this last week)
there’s no way your channel won’t blow up soon your videos are so detailed and well made I’ve gotten so many ideas from you and they always make me laugh even when I didn’t think I could. I’ve had all my friends watch your videos and subscribe ♥️
17:10 I normally organize by color & category. So something like Stone would go in the Grey Blocks chest, and a Chloraphyte Chestplate would go in the Green Armor chest. Something like a Healing Potion would go in Red Consumables, you get the idea. I havent seen anyone else do it this way, but it makes finding my stuff really easy!
Yo, I am a technical minecraft player and am enjoying your videos. I have been wanting to get into terraria wiring, but I dont like being forced to work in a monostable domain. You are inspiring me to get started with the technical side of terraria, I am so glad that I found this series. Anyway, my point for commenting is that there is a better method than the mug method to hold a mouse button. Hold the button down, and then unplug your mouse before letting go. Learned this before I got carpet bots for my minecraft world lol.
So I did my first mastermode run before i started watching Wild Lmao and I used bunnies to one shot the eye and king slime. So to see him raving about exploding bunnies is awesome. Love it. Let's go
A cool idea for the space biome would be to leave the minecart tracks around and paint them with invisible coating once you have access to it, so you can freely grapple around and kinda fly in low gravity.
Actually there is one interesting thing I found out about the ocean biome while I was playing calamity (so I'm not sure if it's vanilla as well but I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be) so I'll try to describe it, maybe it could help with some sort of farm design idk. So mobs can only spawn offscreen right? Actually that is wrong (somewhat). When you go all the way to the edge of the map, your screen is no longer centered on your character but the game still thinks it is. So when you go to the edge, mobs can literally spawn in the middle of your screen where the edge would normally be, if the camera was centered on the character you wouldn't be able to see the mob spawns but this way you can see the mobs pop up there. I have absolutely no clue what this could be used for, maybe if you want to see your farm actively working or smth but I thought I'll drop it here since it could be utilised somehow in these series. Also I would assume that could work in hell as well as long as you're on the edge of the map but yea that's all. Hope someone will find any use for it, maybe in like farm testing to be able to see if the farm is doing what its supposed to. I found out about this only because I built a ship on the ocean so most of the ocean is considered a village so I was getting no mob spawns unless I was literally on the edge of the map while I was farming sharks lol.
I got so many Starbound vibes off the last segment of you building the space biome... it's a shame the game never got the same love Terraria did because they had some really good ideas going on.
I did a world recently during the whole Christmas event where I only used snow-related weapons and also wanted to challenge myself to build better stuff. I used to think the painter was useless, but now I understand his potential
Important note if you didnt know already theres actually only one type of glowing moss per world (plus lava moss which is separate). Thought itd be good to let you know before you spent hours tryna find all four types in your main world
The cosmic biome is incredible 🔥 I only recently learned that moss can be collected. But if you throw that glowing moss into shimmer, there will be rainbow moss. Sorry for my English, I'm writing with a translator)
6:30 the reason desert mobs weren't spawning is because there wasn't enough sand to make a desert biome, there needs to be both a deser biome and desert walls, the player also needs to have desert walls behind them
metal is kinda like liquid like water bending. but don't forget Toph was the only one who used the original earth bending where you don't need to see, because she learned from the badger moles. and she already uses the Praying mantis inspired martial arts.
18:20 My chests are usually set up and named before having the painter move in, and you will remember which chests are which by the time he does move in I think it could be useful to do if you have a copious amount of them though I may try it thank you for the idea
You can use npcs in the actual space biome to guarantee you only get critter spawns, and then take advantage of the fact that space has a higher spawn rate in order to get more spawns than usual. Also the mappy deerclops table cheese would've been much better than the bnnuy strat and it wouldn't be a recycled strategy
I’m pretty sure you can make granite golem statues with granite and a heavy work bench. Check the guide for statues by asking what you can make with stone, because I’m pretty sure manually creating statues would help a lot.
Idea: for the last episode after defeating Moon Lord make a golf course that has 18 holes and goes through all the projects and constructions you have done in the world, so you can upload the world for download and everyone can admire your work while having fun with a fun golf map Also signs with lore and ads for this channel (luv u)
I’ve found for the dangerous background walls to work, the player needs to be standing in front of them rather than in the spawning area. Also, a good way to farm gems is to shimmer gem critters!
Unfortunately the only other glowing moss you’ll find on that world is Lava moss but if you wait until you get Chlorophyte you can make the Chlorophyte Extractinator and get all the glowing moss variations by putting glowing moss into it. (There’s also Helium Moss made by throwing glowing moss in the shimmer)
I believe only one type of glowing moss between neon/argon/krypton/xenon can spawn per world, and you won't be able to obtain other types from this world until you have the chlorophyte extractinator (if I'm understanding the wiki correctly). BUT lava moss is free game and you could use helium moss for some funky stuff too
Parts of your moon base or surrounding planets getting pulled in to a massive black hole in the background would be pretty cool. Just remember to make up the black hole of swirling debris instead of detailing the black hole itself as they’re devoid of light
27:49 I'd Highly recommend adding at least one more swirl to that vortex brother. It's looking a little 1939-1945 Germany at the moment.

Did you… purposefully make the planetoid look like robotnik? The abstract pink thing you made at least kind of fits in as northern lights or something
The green looks like eyes
the desert enemies don't spawn because it wasn't a desert biome, the treacherous walls aren't enough
Thought itd be good to let you know before you spent hours tryna find all four types in your main world
dangggg
that vortex could go even crazier with some helium moss tho... also the bloom on all that space building made it look so magical :DD
Nice! Love this concept, can't wait for the next episode!
Space biome looks like cotton candy island with yellow and orange cheese kekw
Enjoying the series, keep it up gamer
So glad you are back: today's mood was "Long time no see Wild Lmao"... Opened youtube and you are BACK damn
Blue/Green is a really good nebula combo, too. Space has plenty of green glowy, not just purple pinkish glowy.
The lack of using campfires during your bossfights is killing me, but I love this series, keep it up!
I feel so smart for painting my chests in one of my first ever terraria playthroughs now lol, I painted the paint chest negative
U know it's a good day when wild posts
Thank you for that playthrough))
Really love it
I love the builds and if you need any other space thingies to build you should look at the pillars of creation and messier 82
Best series on TH-cam!
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series.
That was the actual best intro to any video I've seen. Period
Painting chests is genius and the space biome looks sick!
18:20 My chests are usually set up and named before having the painter move in, and you will remember which chests are which by the time he does move in
I think it could be useful to do if you have a copious amount of them though I may try it thank you for the idea
You kind of remind me of Olly from Sifl & Olly. I love it and your editing is excellent.
Idea: for the last episode after defeating Moon Lord
make a golf course that has 18 holes and goes through all the projects and constructions you have done in the world, so you can upload the world for download and everyone can admire your work while having fun with a fun golf map
Also signs with lore and ads for this channel (luv u)
Looking back on the footage, when you died at 22:53 you can see the statue in a pile of stuff FALLING towards the lava
RIP the statueee
Finally! Been waiting for this one for so long, I can tell this one is gonna be fire
Bro Deerclops is so easy what do you mean
BUT lava moss is free game and you could use helium moss for some funky stuff too
really dig the space biome, especially those nebula clouds!
Parts of your moon base or surrounding planets getting pulled in to a massive black hole in the background would be pretty cool. Just remember to make up the black hole of swirling debris instead of detailing the black hole itself as they’re devoid of light
